What’s the first thing you do when you buy yourself a set of AirPods? You find yourself the right case… but you better buy one of these if you’re want to keep the convenience and functionality of your AirPods, which is probably why you bought them on the first place! Like anyone who buys a set of AirPods, I start to notice I bring them with me everywhere! Not just into the office or home… but to the store, the mall, while getting coffee, walking the dog, cleaning the house, etc. This case has saved me and my AirPods more times than I can count… and I’ve only been using them a few weeks! I didn’t use the carabiner at first because I thought I wouldn’t forget to grab them… I made that mistake once and now I won’t ever make it again! I love using the carabiner for quickly attaching it to my keys on the morning before I head out or quickly attaching them to my keys when I get home. It’s super easy and quick and seems plenty sturdy! I’ve dropped them with the case on while trying to find them on my pocket or bag so many times and the AirPods don’t have a scratch on them! Nothing! When I took the case off to check it, they literally look brand new! I love the good accent as it matches my other accessories too.

Breaks easy would not recommend. Plastic case would be better

The Best Buy Essentials AirPod Gen 1-2 Silicone Case works great with my AirPods. The case of my AirPods has a slippery texture. I like the feel of the smooth texture of my AirPods case. However, I’ve come close to dropping it quite a few times. This case has a rubbery texture to it which helps make the case easier to grip. As much as I do like the feel of my AirPods case, that was one of my biggest gripes at times. I don’t have to worry about dropping my AirPods case anymore. I also don’t have to worry about my AirPods case slipping out of the pocket of my slacks, since the slacks tend to have a not so grippy fabric texture. The case comes in a black color which gives it a stealth look. Installing the case was super easy. I just simply drop my AirPods case inside of the silicone case and that was it. All of the cutouts aligned perfectly. Even the little hole for the LED charging light aligned perfectly. The case comes with a key ring attached to it. This makes it perfect for attaching to a backpack, handbag, or any other type of accessory. So far I do not have any complaints for this silicone case for my AirPods.

AirPods are becoming so ubiquitous that it's normal to see them on keychains, hanging off backpacks, etc... so you absolutely need to protect the case from dings and dents at the very least. The case itself is mostly battery, and given that it lives in close proximity to you most of the time, that means protecting it. This case hits several marks: it comes with a sturdy loop to attach to other things, the rubberized material is soft to the touch but grippy enough that it won't go flying out of your hands. Install takes all of 10 seconds and the fit is snug enough that it won't go flying off (and is easy to remove for cleaning). What's the 4 vs 5 about on the rating then? Well... given how many AirPods go missing because the case pops open at just the wrong moment, the one thing missing from this is a latch. If it had a simple latch, it would be perfect. For that reason, my suggestion would be to make this a case for keeping in a larger bag or container of some sort... but not one that hangs out in the open.

If you are looking for a budget friendly alternative to keep your AirPods safe and handy, look no further. The Best Buy Essential silicone case is a great alternative to other overpriced cases on the market. The fit is nice and snug, and the key ring that comes with the case is also of good quality. My concern with just about all cases is the durability of the top flap. Just like any other case on the market, I question the durability of this flap on the Best Buy essential case. If this one goes bad, I can just pick up another case and go on with my day. Best Buy essential products rarely disappoint for on-a-budget purchases. The Best Buy essential case is just about right for any budget. Like I said, the issue with the top flap being so flimsy goes for just about every other case that I have tried. It's been holding up great so far during my commutes. For the price, you really can't beat this case. It helps to keep your AirPod case safe and secure. No more losing my AirPods and worrying about where I left them.

Being a best buy product, this case is rather sturdy and stretchy compared to the common brands. The silicone material outshines other off brands as well in terms of added features. The case allows for wireless charging or wired charging options. This case can hold Airpods of the 1st and 2nd generations and I like that products like this are still improving themselves for the early models. This case also comes with a carabiner clip that's simple enough to clip on bags, backpacks, purses, etc. The clip itself is a pretty gold and surprisingly tough for just holding Airpods. I don't know if it comes in other colors, but I would be very disappointed if this was the only option. Charging the Airpods gets warm naturally and while in the case seems to retain the heat longer than my comfort level will allow. I usually have to take them out of the case to cool off sooner. This only happens when doing wired charging. I do really like this case for the price and convenience of not having to look up a case for older versions of Airpods, I just wish it wouldn't keep them warm.

The Best Buy essentials Silicone AirPod Gen 1-2 Case is a good choice. The Best Buy Essentials line is a value line that still offers high quality builds, good design and a great value ratio. While most of my family is Android specific, for some odd (and yes, we ALL think it's odd) reason, my wife is an Apple fan-girl... She has several pairs of differing AirPod's that she uses for different reasons... She uses the Gen 2 for when she jogs rides her because because if one were to fall out and get damaged, she wouldn't care. Then she uses her AirPods Pro 2 for the gym and for basic walks... And finally, she travels with her AirPods Max... Apologies, I digress... I only bring this up because one of the quirks of Apple is they have so many AirPods generations that it's important to be wary of what precise generation of AirPod you have as this product only supports Gen 1-2. End of the day, if you have Gen 1-2 AirPod's, this is a great value. Quality is good, it'san attractive and durable option. I would (and have) reccomend to a friend.

I’m always looking for a way to protect my electronics but not have everything look flashy or tacky. This rubber cover is exactly what I needed. I have dropped my Apple AirPods a couple times and the outer case isn’t able to absorb any of the friction of the drop. So naturally the case opens upon hitting the ground and my iPods fly in different directions Thankfully I haven’t lost one or both but after the second drop I realized that I need to better protect or plan to replace them. This case was such a better option. I’m not into the colorful cases so a black runner case with a key ring is all I needed to keep my pods safe and close to me at all times. I tried hooking them to my keys but I have two sets and sometimes I would grab the set without my AirPods only to realize I actually want them or need them So I no longer tied them or hook them to anything and let them roam free in my purse which I’m ok with because they are protected and I can easily grab them and start using them
