This case is from the Best Buy essentials line of products, it can protect your first or second generation Apple AirPods. They case is MagSafe and QI wireless charging capable, which allows you to wirelessly charge without having to remove the case. It has a removable hook which you can use to attach to your backpack. All the cutouts are in the proper place so you can charge your AirPods and view the LEDs and attach a lanyard. The silicone case does not seem to attract as much dust or gunk as my silicone phone case so that is a positive. The silicone case is rated to protect from a four-foot drop. This case carries on the mostly positive experiences I have had with the extensive Insignia line of devices and accessories from Best Buy, you can go wrong with the Insignia AirPod Pro Gen 1-2 Silicone Case and the Blue with a Circular Shiny Gold Carabiner looked good too. >>> Pros >> value priced >> looks good >> cutouts in the right places >> wireless charging compatible without removing from the case. <<< Cons << silicon attracts dust/gunk, but not as bad as other silicone products I have owned (for instance my day one iPhone 15 ProMax case.

This is a nice and inexpensive airpod case. It works well to protect the airpods plastic case.

This ear pod case is by far one of the worst available ear pod cases on the market. It feels nice and looks like it would do the job well but when you have your ear pods in there that they easily dropped out and did not provide enough protection for the ear pods that cost quite a bit more. My daughter had to swap the case back out with a different brand which provided more protection and security. The included the ring is nice and will provide reasonable safety for the case but I would not trust that it would stay shut. The hinge is nice enough stay on the cap but not to actually stay shut to protect the ear pods. Unless you plan to basically keep them in your bag in the case then it would be hard for me to recommend this ear pod case. The bottom of the case does stay on the bottom of the actual ear pod case and the lid stays on the lid of the ear pod case but they will not stay shut. The case has a nice feel to it that seems like it should stand up for a long time. I also trusted the ring connected to it.
