My computer and all my add- ons..came from BestBuy..If i buy anything outside of BestBuy, it will not work...I only comevto BestBuy. The employees are helpful, nice and understandable..Most importantly, they are knowledgeable at what they do..BestBuy has all of your needs from, cellphones, appliances, computers. Etc..BestBuy has high quality service and items

I was able to buy this USB connector for my laptop to directly connect the ethernet to it bypassing the docking station until it was replaced. This USB connector provided a nice workaround. If the same issue happens again, it will be on hand as a temporary fix.

Laptops that have ethernet are getting harder to find, so this comes in clutch and is a real time saver when you don't have the wifi password, or the signal doesn't reach to the basement where the network equipment is.

I needed to setup a console for an IBM iSeries Power 6. The days of twinax for these machines are long gone, but I did not want to keep changing the ethernet adapter in my PC to accommodate a fixed IP address on the iSeries that I was attempting to connect to, so I bought this and switched to it when I wanted to connect to the console on the iSeries. I now have TCPIP set up on the iSeries and can use iAccess for Windows, but if I ever need to log into a console session, this will be my connection device.

Does the job for computers w/o built in Ethernet

My 2019 iMac doesn't have a built in Ethernet jack and when I switched to a fiber internet company the provided wifi is 6e - which is excellent for all of my other devices but I got crap speeds on that iMac because it's meant for wifi 5. I have an Ethernet jack in my home office so it only made sense to get an adapter and this was also affordable
