Using an OpenWrt (22.0.3) image for the RasPi 4. The kernel recognized the USB dongle (Realtek). I was able to configure the 2 LAN ports from these dongles to connect with (a) Cox cable and (b) T Mobile 5G home internet service providers. Load balancing/failover and auto-recovery work like a charm for my internet usage.

So I bought this a s converter. I did ask the sale rep with it would work to convert Ethernet Internet to the USB and the new laptops could process the signal and they could.
