    I warned everyone not to buy this menbership, because it's a best buy scam, you pay $49.99 to get some benefits, but when you go to use it they don't allow you to make exchanges or returns without charging more for the service you already paid for, soo don't buy it. You’ll regret.

    I shop at Best Buy for all of my Tech needs but I had never purchased the membership. After having a nightmare experience from the PitBoss Sportsman grill which was a housewarming gift from my uncle I thought I had no recourse. The Pit Boss Manufacturer said all issues must be addressed directly to them and that they did not take returns. The grill had only been used once and the 2nd use would have been on Thanksgiving day which is when it completely died. I was devastated because my husband had recently taken ill and the one thing I wanted to do for him was give him a Thanksgiving Day dinner for him to remember. After a lot of correspondence with the manufacturer I reached out to My Uncle who ultimately contacted his local Best Buy store in Savannah. He was instructed that I reach out to my local Best Buy in Snellville. At this time I was emotionally drained and had very little time between my husband’s treatments frankly I was bracing myself for another less than optimal outcome. As I found a moment to visit my local BestBuy I realized I didn’t even have the energy to explain all that I had been through with the manufacturer. But somehow the few word that I did say to Stephanie, the store manager was enough. She warmly and efficiently explained my options. She highly recommended that I consider a membership to prevent any hassles like I experienced to ever happen to me again. I knew she genuinely wanting to fix my problem. I had to leave that day due to time and said I would return in a couple days. Ultimately I returned and ended up purchasing a membership, exchanging and upgrading to the QLED 75 in Samsung. The TV was such a hit at home that I followed up with a 2nd purchase of the exact same TV for a 2nd room in my home. Both of which are protected under the membership. Thanks BestBuy and Store Manager Stephanie. I can’t express enough how much you have helped me.

    After having a HP unit for the past few years, I was bound and determined to get a Dell. The PC Tower was everything I expected however I needed Windows 11 Pro but that wasn't installed as shown both on the website and instore, the sales assistant said it was, the sku said it was, as I operate my freelance agency remotely, so naturally this would be the best option. Got home found it didn't have Win Pro 11 (business) so I had to buy it (an added expense I didn't want to have).. overall the PC was a good buy and l'm liking it thus far.

    This program nearly paid for itself on its purchase day alone however make sure you ask more questions when joining from a skilled employee. The employee I worked with made a point to bring up Black Friday price matching when I had to shop before the holidays. Knowing this was coming is why I signed up. Instead they ONLY price match Best Buy prices during that window. I got lucky today and two of my items finally dropped on their site likely due to manufacturer choices, however to begin with the prices weren't competitive and the fact that Black Friday Specials wouldn't be valid from other retailers was a shock vs how they solid it. Also there was no price match button on my recent purchases so I had to take the extra step of calling to get the money back. The in store sales rep also said it happens automatically when Best Buy discounts. From the chat I had today with the phone support. It does not. You have to be far more diligent to check on pricing during the match window. I am that kind of shopper but I could see some folks not being that in sync with checking back. All and all, with the recent price match money back, it was worth the membership this year. It will depend on how much Best Buy shopping I plan on next year if I decide to renew.

    I have had Best Buy Plus for over 2 years. I can recommend it for its affordability and options as the basic plan. The only critique I have is that maybe they could include 1 year warranty for all things bought with Plus, just like the upper tiers. Regardless, the deals are great as a Plus member and I will continue to use the service for the coupons and deals they offer regularly.

    I was in between a few laptops, and purchased this alongside one of my choices. Ultimately decided to return the device a month or so later and put the full price towards the other device I wanted now that it was on sale. Price watching in the app was very helpful. I do wish previous purchases would automatically refund the difference in $ if they go on sale for cheaper than you purchased, as this was a selling point for the membership that does not work as I expected.

    I signed up for the My Best Buy Plus membership recently and it’s already paid for itself. The exclusive member prices are legit—I saved about $250 on a new items right away, which basically already covered the cost of the annual fee and add other $200. The free 2-day shipping is a huge plus, and I love having the extended 60-day return window. It gives me a lot of peace of mind when buying tech. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that I wish it included some of the protection plans or free installation like the 'Total' tier does, but for $50, it’s a solid deal. If you buy at least two or three big items a year from Best Buy, it’s a no-brainer

    The membership is really good. The only problem I have is whenever you try to prize match for something that is still that is sold on Best Buy‘s website customer service over the phone cannot help you. You have to go to the store cause they look at their website and they can’t see what you see so I don’t know what’s up with that but otherwise, if you didn’t have to run to the store every time your prize match it would be better.

    I was in need for a new laptop and didn't have time to wait for a sale. The sales person (who was very helpful), suggested I get the Plus membership as the laptop was likely to go on sale for back to school. He stated I would get a notification in the app, and would get a link or process to get the price difference refunded. A week or so later I happen to be in my local best buy, and talking to a different clerk, who mentioned to make sure notifications was turned on. I turned it on, and the daily notices for stuff I don't care about is an annoyance.... Then over Memorial day weekend, I happened to be looking at sales in the app, and say the laptop I had purchased on sale. I had received no notice and could not find a way to get my price difference refunded in the App. Checked the website, again couldn't find a way. I went into the store, and the cashier confirmed I should be getting a price difference refund, but she couldn't get the system to process it. After she spoke to a manager she had to process a return of the original and then sell it to me at the lower price. I am happy I had the account, but the Best Buy app is annoying and junk. I am happy to have gotten around $400 back, and having the Plus membership did extend the return window long enough to get the price match.

    The free delivery and extended return window alone have already paid for it. It’s convenient not having to think twice about returns, and the discounts on accessories and everyday tech actually show up more often than I expected. If you shop at Best Buy more than a couple times a year, this membership makes sense and feels worth the cost. One thing I’d like added: I’d like to see more consistent member-only pricing across everyday items, not just occasional promos. Even small automatic discounts or credits throughout the year would make the value clearer and easier to track.

    Membership Paid for on First Purchase - No Brainer

    Whenever I am asked to pay to get savings I have to stop and look carefully at what I'm being offered. Most of the time I'm someplace I'll never come back to and I want the discount on my one purchase, most likely because I will never return to that store. But this is Best Buy, and let's face it, I'm going to end up dropping money here more often than I probably should. For 50 dollars a year, the Best Buy Plus membership is not a bad deal. It was paid for out of my first purchase of a MacBook where I saved 50 dollars because of the membership (so it was "free"). So now for the year, I get access to certain items with an extra discount which is nice. But there is more!!! Once I looked over the dashboard (yes, you get your own dashboard) there are a few more perks that come with the membership: 1. There is an assortment of free trials for decent amounts of time that you can dip into. 2. You get 60 days instead of 30 days to return things, so try and buy to your heart's content (you break it you buy it) 3. I'm impatient when it comes to shipping. If I'm laying to some good money I want my product immediately. But we all know everything isn't in stock, so two-day free shipping is a perk, not bad, and on part with Amazon Prime. 4. There is also a rewards point thing that you get discounts and rewards depending on how much you spend, and that brings us to the bad part. Now the only thing that I don't like about the membership (and it probably isn't even their fault, I'm sure it is some arrangement with Apple) is that those points that you get, well, you don't get them on Apple products (and where does most my money go?) so for all the money I spend on Apple Products they don't reward me for the future. Beyond that, I have nothing bad to say, especially since it was at no additional cost in my case. Oh, and don't forget, for like 130 dollars more you can get the tech support and warranty package which does include Apple Care+ so that looks like a great value also.
