This is my second BP monitor. I really like the small size of this unit. It is much easier to store than my clunky old one. It also keeps track of my readings (30 readings for four users). The setup was very intuitive. Put the batteries in the device, then follow the instructions to get started. It's important to make sure the cuff is located in the right area of your upper arm. If not, you get inconsistent readings. Follow the instructions closely on the right location. Beurer has made a quality device that is compact and easy to use. I believe the price is a good value compared to other devices on the market.

Taking BP Monitoring To The Next Level

Overall, I really like the Beurer - Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor a lot. It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it quite well. The display is large, bright, and easy to read. Everything you need/want to know about your blood pressure, heart beat pattern and pulse are right there on the screen. When I say heart beat pattern, if your heart beat is irregular, it will let you know. Out of the box it was fairly easy to set up - insert the batteries, and follow the onscreen prompts, and in a couple of minutes, it is ready to use. It's a great idea to read the short Quick Start guide. It lets you know how to get everything ready, and the proper way to take a blood pressure reading. I was glad to read that Beurer is quite picky when it comes to making sure each unit is accurate so that the results can be trusted. Taking a reading is simply a matter of slipping the cuff on, making sure it is positioned properly, and pushing a button. It's pretty obvious they have gone to a lot of trouble to make the process as easy and simple as possible. The unit comes equipped with blue tooth, and there is the Beurer Health Coach app to download to your phone. It has the ability to share your readings with your doctor if he/she is set up to receive it. Like I said, for the most part, it is a great BP monitor. About the only "issue" (for me) is that the unit isn't quite as intuitive as I would personally like. For example, pressing the "M" button won't give you past readings. If you want to get past readings easily, it is best done through the app. Also, making any type of changes to the settings requires a bit of effort. If you happen to input the wrong month during set up, it isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. But these are truly very minor concerns. The large, bright and easy-to-read display, along with the onboard blue tooth and the available app set the Beurer Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor high above the competition, and I would heartily and highly recommend the Beurer monitor to anyone wanting a great, state-of-the-art BP monitor.

I have had the blood pressure monitor for a couple of weeks now and it is great. It's easy to set up, easy to read and syncing to the phone app is great. I was originally going to get the standard monitor without bluetooth but I'm very happy I got the bluetooth model. It is so convenient to be able to track and monitor the readings through the phone app instead of just using the monitor itself. The monitor is fairly standard for these, but the bluetooth makes it so easy to track. The app is nicely laid out and lets you easily see history and progression of your readings. The cuff is easy to put on and adjust and the whole system seems like it should hold up well over time. The multiple users works great for tracking several people. It is a little goofy to me how to switch between users but it's not hard and once you get used to it you'll never have a problem. We've been using it for 2 people to track, each with their info on their phone and its work flawlessly. It can support up to 4 users. The other benefit to the app is there are a number of other health monitors from Beurer that can sync to the same app. After looking through their offerings I'm definitely considering a couple other items to be able to track a number of health stats in the same app. I would definitely recommend this model and highly recommend getting the bluetooth model over the standard one.

Checking your blood pressure on a regular basis is important, and the Beurer BM76 monitor makes it easy! The Health Coach app was easy to download but getting the monitor to pair took a couple tries as the instructions weren't real clear. Comes with a "quick-start guide" and a separate instruction page. Caution - the quick start guide provides instructions to install (4) AAA batteries, however the unit uses (4) AA batteries. Batteries were included so the decision on what to use was made a little more clear. The separate instruction page was easier to understand. Includes 4 user profiles so each user can download the app and track their own blood pressure, and the unit easily toggles between users. The app stores data, including date and time so you can track trends in your pressure. The display is large, and easy to read and the design of the cuff allows a person to use it without additional help. When not in use, stores easily in a convenient storage bag (included). It appears to be a well-made product that should last a long time. If you want a simple, effective product to track your blood pressure at home, this is a fantastic option!

I had an older machine from a different brand. That one was very heavy compared to this. Readings (both compared) is a little bit different. I think that one is off measuring. It works really fine. Built from good materials. Kind of slow measuring. Bluetooth link works very well with Android (didn't check it with iOS yet) with one minor trick: the app should be on the screen and running while measuring the blood pressure so you get the reading updated. You can upload later by clicking the memory button with the app on. Very easy to use, multiple users. Nice and big letters with good backlight. Easy to read any time. Came with batteries and storing pouch. Nice to have if you want to keep tracking your blood pressure. Data saved in a nice way in the app (that you can show to your doctor later). I recommend it to be at every house. Nobody knows...

The Beurer BM31 is an excellent, basic upper arm blood pressure monitor. It’s compact, very easy to use, has an easy to read display, and comes with advanced features like arrhythmia and irregular heartbeat detection - which can be invaluable for the early detection of issues in the long run. Accuracy wise, I compared the readings head to head with my other “reference” unit that costs 3x more and all the readings were within the same range. Remarkable! I especially like how I can cycle through my old readings and it automatically calculates my average AM, PM, and overall average readings. According to Beurer, it can store up to 120 readings for 2 different profiles, which is handy if you’re sharing with a housemate. The extra-large adjustable cuff works great as well. We have a good range of arm thicknesses in my household, and I can confirm it fits well for featherweight to heavyweight sizes. Usage wise, finding out your blood pressure is as simple as strapping on the cuff and pressing the large white button. The large digital readout will turn on and the cuff will start inflating, pretty standard affair. The readout is clear, with big black numerals that make it easy to read. Pressing the M button will cycle through your old readings and average readings, and you can switch profiles with the + and - buttons. And that’s about it for features. The Beurer BM31 is a no frills upper arm blood pressure monitor that’s made to be reliable, accurate, and easy to use. It’s an outstanding value for a blood pressure monitor, and it even comes with batteries and a bag to keep it all together! Great job Beurer! PROS - Easy to use - Large buttons and display - Arrhythmia and irregular heartbeat detection - Auto time/date stamp - Battery powered - Auto power off - Compact - Well built - Comes with bag

The monitor is very easy to use. Once you turn on the power, within 5 seconds it pumps up the cuff and a minute later has your reading and is sending the data to your phone (iphone for me). The toughest part for me was the setup to the phone. It connected easily but I could not figure out the Bluetooth pin. It kept wanting 6 digits but I only saw 4 on the monitor. Then I realized the picture on the instructions. The first two digits are very small at the top of the monitor and so it has 3 sets of two digits stacked to get your 6. So hopefully I can save someone some pain with this tip on where to look. The syncing with the phone is then instant upon completing the reading and you can view the history in the HealthCoach App that then also syncs with Apple Health. The readings themselves seem pretty consistent with where I am typically at so I have confidence in its accuracy. One negative I have is sometimes when the pressure builds in the cuff it errors out. No big deal, just start the process over and it usually completes. So overall I think its a pretty easy to use monitory and is great to have the Bluetooth version to automatically save the data to your phone.

The Beuer Blood pressure monitor is straight forward and easy to use. It has large buttons and a display with huge numbers, making the results ready to read and understand. Allows up to 4 users and let's you track everything when you sync it with the app for your phone. It's portable and lightweight, yet powerful. There are better, smaller units available that are more comfortable to use. But for the price, you can't beat it.

I have found the Beurer BM76 Blood Pressure Monitor to be easy to set up and use. It goes on the upper arm, which my doctor has told me is more dependable than measuring on the wrist or a finger. It was very simple to set up, connect via Bluetooth with my iPhone, and begin using. The box included more directions that many of the tech products I have gotten in recent years. And, although I have not yet asked the staff at my doctor’s office to test it for accuracy, its readings have been in line with what my typical readings have been when measured by medical personnel. The Bluetooth capacity gives me a record of my readings and the ability to share that record with my physician. Moreover, my spouse and I can both use it, and it will keep a record for each of us (and 2 additional people, if needed). Beurer makes several other Bluetooth-capable medical devices, and, at my doctor’s suggestion, I now plan to start using its Bluetooth pulse oximeter.

With Bluetooth connectivity to automatically store and track results and the ability to have four different people tracked this is a very nice BP cuff. Readings appear to be largely accurate, at least in the range of what I would expect my blood pressure to be. Measurements are consistent. App setup is simple, and each person can have their results sent only to their mobile device for privacy and convenience. I do question the use of a separate app rather than simply tying to Apple Health and the equivalent Android app, as simplicity would be better. Still,. it works well, so I couldn't ding them for this. The cuff comes with a case and is small enough to travel with easily. I would recommend this for anyone who is supposed to monitor their blood pressure regularly.

Beurer - Bluetooth Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor - White This blood pressure monitor has some very nice features. The ability to sync to 4 phones and have 4 users is a plus for households that have multiple people in need of reading their blood pressure. The charting of blood pressure on a graph as well as raw numbers on the App is very nice. However, I was unsuccessful in getting this unit to read my blood pressure more than ½ the time on the first shot. The unit would pump to about 160 or so and then start back down. It would show a pulse indication as well as a proper cuff reading so all would seem well. But once the unit got down to about 80, it would start pumping again. This time it would go well up over 200 and then start down very slowly. So slow in fact that my arm would be completely numb by the time it would finish. Once it was done it would report a completely normal blood pressure for me, in the good range for my health. But my arm would hurt, and it would leave a small blood blister on my upper arm. Per the manufactures instructions I discarded the first unit as defective, and they sent a replacement. I’m very sorry to say that unit did even worse. My arm size is right in the middle of the range. I followed every instruction to the letter. They even sent me a revised list of instructions for when it has issues. I followed them as well to no avail. If the unit will work on your arm in a normal manner, it is well worth the price. However, this was not the case for me. I will have to go back to my old unit and write numbers down for my doctor to review. I was so looking forward to just being able to show them the real data. My bottom line is this. If this unit works on your arm, you will be very happy. For me, I can not use the unit as it is actually causing pain and damage to my arm.

I have used a great many blood pressure devices (I work in healthcare), and this compact unit is one of the most comfortable I have ever encountered. The upper arm cuff is easy to apply and exerts a well-distributed pressure around the upper arm that feels painless. The maximum pressure is also very brief. I have correlated this device's readings with standard medical sphygmomanometers (BP cuffs), and the readings are almost identical. You can rely on the readings you get from this monitor. I have taken one star off my rating for two reasons. First of all, there is no AC option, as this is solely battery powered. The batteries that came with the device were spent, so I had to supply my own batteries. In addition, while Bluetooth connectivity with an app from Breuer is advertised, I was unable after some effort to establish that connection by myself. I even tried watching the instructional video supplied by the manufacturer, but I found this confusing. I am happy simply to measure my blood pressure at random times, and I am not really interested in seeing a readout of the findings over time. This lightweight and accurate device fills that need. It could have been better with an AC adapter option. Also, if you need a digital record of your readings, you may need some assistance with establishing a Bluetooth connection.

The unit itself is easy to use. The size of the arm cuff is large enough for me and I am a little larger than average. The only downside is there really is no clear info on the Bluetooth feature. It appears to connect but never really download any information to the app. If there was an ability to transfer the daily data from the unit to the app it would be great. Overall I am very happy with this unit due to it's easy use, backlit screen and large arm cuff.

The Beurer BM76 Blood Pressure Monitor has a bright screen and more functionality than any blood pressure monitor that I've used before. While it does a lot it's still easy to use! Ease of use The first time you turn it on you'll go through a quick setup to set the time and date. After that I was happy to see that it works like any other blood pressure monitor I've used. You just put on the cuff and press the power button. It takes a measurement and stores it, in the blood pressure monitor itself - no smart phone required! The buttons are also very large and easy to see. There's "M" for memory, "Set", "-", "+", and a big power button in the middle. Screen The screen has large, clear numbers and there's a bright back-light. Besides the systolic, diastolic, and pulse numbers, the screen shows the date, time, which user it's recording/showing data (1-4), as well as some additional indicators. Features I love the way you can change users and store readings for that user. When it's off, just press the set button and then press "-" or "+" to select the user, 1, 2, 3, or 4. Then when the unit is off, press "M" to view the readings stored in memory for the current user. It comes up first with the average reading for all readings stored for that user, then shows the average AM reading (5-9am), then the average PM reading (6-8pm), then it goes through the individual readings. It stores up to 30 readings for each of the four users. Another feature it has is that it can detect an irregular heartbeat. That seems like a features all blood pressure monitors should have but I never heard of that in one before. Beurer HealthCoach App While you don't need the app for anything I mentioned above I do recommend the app. After some quick setup, including entering age, height, and weight and pairing the app with the blood pressure monitor over Bluetooth, it will automatically record the data every time you take your blood pressure. The data is still stored on the blood pressure monitor too but in the app I can see a nice list view of the times I took my blood pressure as well as seeing my systolic and diastolic numbers graphed on a chart. It also lets me add manual entries - not transferred by Bluetooth, for instance from going to the doctors office or when donating blood. The app is also made to track much more too. It can track weight, activity (steps), sleep, blood oxygen, and temperature. All of those can be manually entered (the blood pressure monitor doesn't track those though other devices from Beurer may). One note, the app is for one person. To use the app with more than one person each person needs to have their own phone with the app installed, though they can all use the same blood pressure monitor.

The Beurer BM76 unit covers the basics - sort of

Beurer - Bluetooth Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor - White This blood pressure monitor has a base unit about 5"x4"x2" and uses 4 AA batteries (supplied). The readout screen is approximately 3"x2.75". So, it's sizable enough to show the time, date, user number -- handles up to 4 different users for record keeping when used with its smartphone app that records readings -- and, of course, the systolic and diastolic readings. While the characters shown on the readout are large, they are from an LCD screen. This means there are 7 segments available to make up any number or letter by having some of the segments visible and others (depending on the number or letter being shown) invisible. Unfortunately, on this display, those that are invisible leave a "ghost" segment that you can see to some degree. This makes the readout of the characters not as sharp as some other LCD screens that leave an invisible segment truly invisible. The instruction sheet (one page front only) is not adequate. It is broken down into Device Setup and HealthCoach App Setup. Below that is the "Keep In Mind" stuff where they remind you mainly about using the app with different users etc. I had to read the instructions several times while trying to do the device setup and the app setup to manage those items. I'm still working on the Bluetooth connection between the app on my phone and the blood pressure base unit. I've followed the instructions as given, entered the PIN provided by the base unit into the app, but have yet to connect via Bluetooth. Bluetooth by itself is finicky, so I'll keep trying. If you need regular blood pressure readings over time to determine an average for your doctor, you'll need the data from the base unit to be transferred to your app for each reading taken, so having the app and device connected by Bluetooth will be necessary. Regarding use instructions, I used their QR code provided on the instruction sheet to take my phone's browser to a video tutorial provided by Beurer. The video is 45 seconds long and tries to cover device setup and app setup. It goes way too fast to read what the video is giving you even if you can manage to zoom onto the very small print on the video. Frankly, the video offers too little information too fast so as to be basically worthless. The instructions do not include how to position the cuff properly on your arm -- there's a "diagram" on the cuff itself that's supposed to help you position it properly -- nor do they specifically tell you how to start the device once the cuff is finally in place. It has an on/off button on the device, but I expected that to control the screen illumination so you could keep it on as long as you need to for reading the information available on the screen; however, the screen will dim and go out after a set time on its own. You have to hit the power button to start the blood pressure device going through the procedure to give you a blood pressure reading. In addition to the above problems, the rubber tube connecting the upper arm cuff to the base device wasn't even 2' long. That may sound adequate in length until you wrestle your arm into the correct position with the cuff attached without dragging the base device off the table where it is setting. The rubber tube should be a minimum of 6" longer but 12" longer would be best to give you the room you need without having to worry about dragging the device around while maneuvering you arm into a proper resting position. I've taken my blood pressure reading multiple times, and it appears to do that properly if the cuff is in the right position -- not only above the elbow a certain distance but with the cuff sensor aligned with the midpoint of the inside of your elbow or you will get error readings. These issues are probably common to all above arm cuff type monitors that you are using without assistance. The bottom line is that I found the BM76 Blood Pressure Monitor lacking. The readout isn't as clear due to the selection of this LCD panel by Beurer, the instructions are too limited and should include the actual use of the device in taking blood pressure readings -- I think Beurer assumed users would already have a nodding acquaintance with DIY blood pressure monitors --, and the rubber tube connecting the device with the cuff is entirely too short. While I haven't looked at other DIY blood pressure monitors, I have to believe that there are some that are more intuitive to use and made better, and are probably more expensive, but if I needed a device such as this, I'd be willing to pay more money for a better one.

The Beurer Blood Pressure Monitor BM76 is an easy-to-use device with the benefit of smartphone connectivity with Bluetooth. This monitor makes it easy to check your blood pressure and be able to record it on your smartphone with Beurer's HealthCoach app via Bluetooth. If vision is a problem the digits on this monitor are nearly 1" high making it simple for anyone to read their results. Another great feature of this monitor is that it detects an irregular heartbeat. It doesn't give you specifics, though. If you're looking for an inexpensive blood pressure monitor that's easy to read and operate, check out the Beurer BM76.
