I have been going to the chiropractor for a very long time, and one of the therapies that has been my favorite is the Electronic Muscle Stimulation (EMS). I had contemplated getting a home device for quite a while, but finally decided to get one, the Beurer Digital TENS Device w/Heat. If comes with two sets of electrodes, connecting together to the device with a USB-C connection (which the USB-C port is also used to charge the battery). There is also the initial set of gel pads used to hold the electrodes in place. Even though it recommends to remove hair in application locations before using, we know that just won't happen in most cases. Luckily, the gel pads are sticky enough without being too sticky. When removing, it won't be like removing an adhesive bandage and basically prepping that area for the next time. And the gel pads are reusable, just not sure how may uses I will get out of them. So far, this device has been great! I can now have longer sessions than normally provided with the chiropractor visit, as well as target different areas whenever I want, along with being able to modify the intensity whenever necessary. I like the pre-set programs and the different pulse patterns and strengths (and am actually preferring this device over the chiropractor's). For the pre-set programs, there are not any extra descriptions on what it will do (strength, pattern, etc.), just which area of the body they target, so you will need to try each to find your preference. There are 12 for TENS and 32 for EMS, with targeting arms, legs, shoulders, back, and abdomen. A chart of electrode placement is provided and corresponding number set are listed with the programs. Just place the electrodes, select the appropriate program and select the intensity levels for each channel. Along with the pre-sets, both TENS and EMS each have 3 customizable programs, where the impulse width and/or frequency along with other available settings, depending which one is selected. It does have heat available, with Low and High settings. Even on High, I really could not feel much warmth. My wife, however, did feel it. It might have just been the location I was working with at the time. I do believe now, of all of the home therapeutic devices we have, this is definitely my favorite!

I was a little timid when I first tried this out, my back has hurt for over 30 years due to an injury. I still can't turn it up very high, but the TENS and even the EMS modes really relax the muscles that are tensed up from the pain. I have tried it in several places on my back and have been impressed with the intuitive display and controls. I expected to be checking the little book every time I needed to change something, but the screen includes about all I need to know. The gel pads are the only part I am worried about. Right now, they do not have the replacements available but the original ones are doing pretty good after a half dozen uses. I wish I could use this all day long, it really did make a big difference in my back. I may have to check on one of the smaller units that sticks on to see if I can get the same results without the long cords and large controller. The cords and controller aren't a big deal at all when using it for its intended purpose. It allows you to place the electrodes anywhere on your body and then still be able to read the screen and make changes easily. After the initial charge, I have used it for about 6 - 8 hours total and the battery is still showing fully charged! I really didn't expect that and it is nice to know that I can get a lot of use out of it without constantly stopping to charge it up. I have not used the heat mode except to see if works, so that will probably drain the battery faster. Overall, I can really see the usefulness of this kind of device. My brother has been offering to loan me one of his for a long time but I didn't know how it would do. I tend to avoid anything that adds to my constant pain. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to relieve their pain without taking more drugs. It is a very nice alternative and doesn't mess with your body.

Bought this for my dad who is having severe nerve and back pain and needs surgery soon. I too had the same injury and it helped me a lot. He loves it and says it was extremely easy for an old man to learn. He was snoring 2 minutes after I got him hooked up. ❤️

This RECHARGEABLE TENS unit has been such a relief. I had to replace the battery on my last unit 3 times a day. In addition, I used up 3 nine volt batteries a day.

Awesome device. I was having shoulder pain from a recent car accident and my physical therapist used this similar device on me. Figured I’d give it a try myself and WOW!!! I was not disappointed at all. I love all the different settings and features that it has. Would def recommend to anyone experiencing soreness of the muscles.

I bought this for my boyfriend who has an injured back. He said this tremendously helps reduce his pain and the heat feels wonderful!

And who doesn't to some degree. The Beurer - Digital TENS Device w/ Heat is a high grade medical device used by professionals for years to relieve muscle and nerve pain. This TENS/EMS w heat device is manufactured in Germany by Beurer a well respected company that makes medical, baby products and devices for active people. The 3-in-1 device comes with excellent instructions on how to get the most benefit. The heat feature offers and elevated level of comfort and relief. I use the Beurer - Digital TENS Device w/ Heat on my neck and shoulders to relieve pain and discomfort from an accident I suffered in 2020. It helps. A lot. Honestly there is no difference between what my therapist used and this unit. Compact and easy to store the Beurer - Digital TENS Device w/ Heat is an excellent addition to anyone's home medical kit. Works creat , it work just the same as a 2000.00 one because I had one but it malfunction. And I purchase this one it work good

I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review. Maybe it was user error (for a complete newbie to a TENS unit, the included directions were not very thorough), but I didn’t really get much pain relief from this device. I also had difficulty removing the pads the first time I used them - half (or more!) of the gel remained on my skin after removing the pads, which was awkward to remove. Subsequent uses went better, but honestly, I’m not even sure if I was supposed to be reusing the same pads or if I was supposed to have new pads each time (again, the directions/manual was not very helpful), nor could I determine where I was supposed to buy the replacements I’m assuming I will eventually need. All in all, a disappointment, but I’m going to keep it around in case of a pulled muscle or injury.

Unfortunately, I cannot give an accurate critique of the Beurer - Digital TENS Device w/ Heat - Black, because it excludes people with certain health conditions from using it. While reading the instruction manual, I came across the safety instructions. The safety instructions state that no one with an illness, implanted electrical device, metal implants near application site, cardiac arrhythmia, acute illness, diabetes, high blood pressure, and several other ailments should use this device. I fall into the group with one of those health conditions that exclude me from its use. I cannot fairly critique the Beurer - Digital TENS Device w/ Heat - Black, except to say that its use is for people with perfect health and without any medical conditions.

What a great device you are able to control what the power output is, and the warming option is just amazing. Really great product and really works.

This product is absolutely amazing, I am very happy with it!

So this device provides temporary relief for minor muscle aches. It feels good while it’s on but doesn’t provide any pain relief beyond that. Also the heat does not get warm enough to feel much of anything. This seems like more of a novelty to me. A percussion massager works much better at pain relief and massage.

Very difficult to pick up and just start using. My wife’s neck and shoulders are under constant stress and this device can not help us due to the difficult learning curve.
