I got this mirror recently for my wife. Her previous mirror was one where the front reflected normal while the rear of the mirror was magnified. It worked fine but didn’t have any illumination. A shaft (or stem, whichever you prefer) connects the mirror to its base. The base looks like a bowl you might put candies in. Just twist the shaft counterclockwise and it locks in place with the bowl. There’s no play between the mirror and the base when connected properly, so we don’t fear it falling over due to bad workmanship. What is important for me is that my wife likes the mirror, saying that it has been a pleasant change for her. The mirror runs off three (3) AA batteries – with the battery compartment located on the back of the mirror. To turn it on, there is an on/off switch also on the back. A smaller magnifying mirror is stored in a recessed spot on the back. Remove this smaller mirror and – with internal magnets inside both the smaller mirror and the main mirror – it sticks to the front mirror when placed directly centered. When you’re done using the magnified mirror, just return it to its storage spot on the back. My wife did find that when using the mirror and magnified mirror at the same time, that it can be visually disorienting because you see a reflection in both mirrors at the same time. This disorientation, which is not a major issue, goes away as you move your face closer to the magnified mirror. When the illumination is turned on, there is a capacitive button at the bottom of the main mirror that – when touched – increases or decreases the illumination. You can turn it down sufficiently that the illumination appears to be entirely turned off. Still, the on/off button on the back is intended to formally turn it off. I don’t know how long the batteries would last if you dimmed the mirror entirely but left the on/off switch in the On position. Getting back to the base, since it has turned up sides the bowl can be used to hold small items, like hair accessories, jewelry, or other small objects. The very bottom of the base has non-sliding pads to keep it from sliding around. The shaft, which connects the mirror to the base, has a ball-joint at the top that lets you move the mirror backwards or forwards, and to the left or right. In all, my wife thinks it has a sleek design that looks nice on our bathroom counter. The only question she had was about its white color. Make-up, dirt, and other stuff could clearly discolor the mirror’s white color over time. If given her druthers, a darker color would have been more preferable. Still, we’re giving this mirror a 5-star review.

The Beurer vanity mirror is perfect for those that are looking for an illuminated mirror. The mirror is big enough to see your entire face without having to move and contort your head. The light is extremely bright, not too bright to hurt your eyes. But bright enough to apply your makeup, pluck those hairs before they become an issue. Should you not need it very bright, just touch and hold the button on the screen to dim it to your liking. The design is very good. It includes a smaller mirror that has 5X magnification to see things you may have missed with the larger mirror. The 5X can be hidden behind the larger mirror via a large magnet holder in the rear. This magnet is also used to attach the smaller mirror to the front. You can place the 5X anywhere on the front for a good solid hold or remove it and handhold it. The tray is great for tweezers, jewelry, you name it. The only issue I see with the mirror is the 5X. Although good for close-ups I would have preferred it be more like 10X because sometimes 5X isn’t enough. The mirror base is not height adjustable only swivel in different directions, once it is set that’s it. These are not game-changers though. The small footprint of the mirror makes this ideal for the bathroom counter, end table by the bed, or handheld.

There is so many things that are just RIGHT about this mirror. First and foremost, it's battery-powered. It might sound weird but honestly, when you have other devices like an electric toothbrush, electric shaver, hairdryer, etc... you start to feel cluttered by all the wires. So its a HUGE PRO that you do not need to worry about that with this mirror. The clarity and magnification of the mirror are ideal for personal care like grooming, make-up and styling. The magnetic magnifier is awesome because you can hold it easily in your hand and move around freely to see yourself in different lights or positions. I have to admit, I find myself using this smaller mirror more than my wall mirror. The magnification might feel weird or disorienting at first, I find it easier to use the magnifier piece separately the first few times.. However, the biggest benefit of this mirror is the lighting lamp attached to the outer border. So make sure you adjust quickly! Fantastic mirror!

Upon putting the mirror together, which literally took about 1 minute, I was disappointed. This vanity mirror is made of a cheap plastic, and has no metal composition or weight to it in the base area. The mirror is attached by a means of a "mirror support" which is composed of lightweight plastic. When attempting to adjust the mirror either up or down or side to side you need to support the rest of the mirror otherwise the entire mirror moves on your furniture or countertop. It is not easily adjusted as are other mirrors that I have used in the past. The 5 times magnification mirror fits onto the center of the mirror magnetically and is only 3 inches in diameter. The 5 times magnification mirror fails to fully cover the regular size mirror. Parts of your face appear to be enlarged and other parts are normal size. It would have been nice if the magnification mirror would have been a full sized attachment that fully covered the regular mirror. The lighted circle of light (powered by 3 batteries) is fully dimmable. I honestly wasn't expecting this feature but was surprised that it had it. The base is curved and allows for the user to use it as a small storage area. It's great for earrings, rings and small jewelry items. In my opinion this is a so so product. I would have preferred a heavier base and better construction materials. Having a full sized magnification attachment instead of a mini 3 inch mirror disappoints and makes for hard viewing.

The Beurer - Illuminated Cosmetics Mirror, is real simple to setup. insert 3 AA batteries included with purchase. No tools needed to install batteries, nor any tools required for assembly of the mirror. It has a large standard magnification mirror, plus also a half size 5x magnification mirror. The 5x mirror has a magnetic storage location on the back, Or if you want to use it. you can place it on the bigger mirror and it stays in place via magnets. What are the batteries for? WELL it has LED ring light around the mirror that lights up what you need to have tweezed or plucked and is controlled by a touch screen button on the big mirror. Overall, the Beurer - Illuminated Cosmetics Mirror is about all that anyone could ask for in an illuminated cosmetic mirror. The Beurer - Illuminated Cosmetics Mirror has earned a place on the bathroom counter and replaces a non illuminated cosmetic mirror.

As my summary says, I can’t find any flaws with this mirror. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and does it very well without any unnecessary bells and whistles. It’s nice when batteries are included. I remember the days when the typical note on product packaging was “batteries not included” so to actually have batteries provided is a nice touch in my book. Other than that, the instructions are simple and straightforward - insert.batteries, turn the unit on, stick on the magnifying mirror, remove the magnifying mirror and turn the unit off. You can’t ask for something easier than that. Besides that, the base is sturdy and curved so you can store things like buttons, tweezers, etc. The ring light is bright (probably even bright enough to use for TikTok videos!) and the recessed storage for the magnifying mirror is perfect. No complaints here.

This cosmetics mirror is wonderful! A lot of thought went into what would make this a complete mirror and it shows! Set up was easy, and it came with batteries, even better! Rotating the mirror is easy and it stays where you want it. The light ring is really bright and extremely helpful. The thought behind the magnified mirror is wonderful! It is magnetic and fits in the back effortlessly, then you can take it out and it magnetically sits in the middle of the large mirror - perfect! Lastly, the base is a curved tray, so smart! We all need an extra tray to store our little things! Highly recommend this thoughtful cosmetics mirror.

This mirror definitely met my expectations. First of all I would like to start of with the lighting. It gives you so much light to see every little detail in your face. It’s s light is dimmable so you can always adjust the light to your liking. It’s well made and very sturdy. I like how it comes with a small mirror with more magnification that can be attached to the front of the big mirror like a magnet for more precise detail. This mirror is battery operated which I don’t mind. It has a jewelry tray attached to the bottom of the mirror, so you can easily find your jewelry if you were to take it off on on. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a bright light and good size mirror to have anywhere.

I have purchased 4 lighted mirrors over the past couple years in search of the perfect one. So happy I’ve finally found it! The detachable magnifying mirror is probably my favorite part - you can use the magnets to stick it to the back of the mirror out of the way, or stick it in the middle of the front and use the illumination to see every detail. The lights are bright but provide a crisp, clear reflection, and they show the true color of any products being applied. The button to tap on the front lets you turn the lights on and off easily, but if you have kids that are fascinated with tapping the button over and over you can use the switch on the back to keep from wasting the batteries. I absolutely love the base tray to put brushes, lash glue and other products that I don’t want rolling off the counter. I cannot recommend this enough - if you desire a lighted mirror with magnifying capabilities run out and get this one, quick!

I LOVE this mirror! It’s made very well and the light is very bright -and I really need that! The magnifying mirror is excellent to use when applying eye makeup. I would recommend and I would buy again!

Mirror was packaged well and included batteries. Lightweight as well as great LED lighting - EXTREMELY bright. The magnifying mirror attaches magnetically to the main mirror and holds strong, however the magnification is 5x - wish there was a 10x option for those of us who's eyes aren't that great anymore. Makeup-tray in the base is a great touch. Nice portable unit that is lightweight enough to take with you!

I highly recommend this mirror. The light on it makes applying makeup, tweezing eye brows, etc so much easier. I have terrible lighting in my bathroom so this helps me a ton. The little mirror is also magnetic so you can remove it and place it on the back for safe keeping. The base has a tray so you can keep all your small items nearby. Really like this mirror. Simple, but extremely helpful.

Mirror is small enough for travel or home use. There is a built-in light ring surrounding the main mirror. It is powered by three - AA batteries, which are included. BONUS and very high tech addition is a magnetic smaller 4” mirror that adheres to the back of the mirror when not in use. Then when you want 5x magnification you pull it off the back and it will “stick” magnetically to the front mirror. GENIUS design. Setup is a breeze. It comes in two pieces, the base and the mirror. Once attached and the batteries are installed you are ready to go. There is a master power switch in the back. Once this is on, the fun begins. The mirror is touch sensitive. So touching the main mirror you can adjust the levels or brightness for the light around the main mirror. My kids love touching it and watching the lights adjust intensity. The base of the mirror has curved edges, so you can place things like rings or glasses or makeup, and it will not roll out away. Everything remains right in reach. Perfect for home use and love that it is small enough to take on travels as well.

The Beurer's Illuminated 5x Vanity Mirror is a lightweight and LED mirror. Its lightweight however I would not use it for travel because most hotels have mirrors that are better and brighter to use. The overall design is nice, but the overall size and size of the magnified area is what needs to be improved. Because of this I have to adjust either me or the mirror to focus in on what i want magnified. The light is not as bright unless you are using it with additional overhead light. Overall, would not recommend unless you are looking for a mirror that has these features.

This is a cool mirror. I wish it was bigger. The light is very bright. It would have been cool if it had a rechargeable battery but it seems like the regular battery will last. My wife loves it.

Mirror is way too small you can't even see your whole face in it and the lights are not even bright enough to put makeup on.
