It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I think it is very important to know that this thing burns for 10 seconds is the "healing." So don't expect young kids to sit still for it.

Description is correct but when you put it on your bite, it sends a heat surge on your bite it is quite uncomfortable. I returned the items. Would not recommend it

it does get hot. It doesn’t really do what it’s supposed to buy taking the itch away from bug bites I personally wouldn’t purchase again.

Its so hot, it will burn your skin. Do not use on children.

Stinks heat up and dont feel like it working. Better off with a roll on applicatolion.

Worst buy! The Insect Bite Healer did not work. It zapped once and then it did not work at all. I'm taking it back to get my money back.

Bought this and used it occasionally. Then, after 2 weeks of use, the unit died. Im past the return date so im out of luck. Would NOT recommend.

This summer has been very rainy and as a result I’ve gotten dozens of bites, and I’ve used lots and lots of Benadryl cream to stop the itch. In early September I had an opportunity to test the Beurer Insect Bite Healer, and frankly I didn’t expect it to help. I was wrong. Though the number of mosquitos is waning as the summer ends, I’ve gotten 3 new bites since I received the Beurer. In each case I used the Beurer as soon as I noticed itching and a welt forming. The device is easy to use. You turn on it via a slide switch (think of it as a safety of sorts), then press the round button after placing the ceramic disc on the mosquito bite. Within a second the disc heats up (my guess is that it uses similar technology as instant-on soldering devices). It gets pretty hot, enough so that it’s a little uncomfortable, but certainly not to the point of causing a burn. Because I suffer so much from mosquito bites I’ve chosen the longer duration (6 seconds, I think, versus 3 seconds for the shorter duration) heating cycle by double-pressing the round button. After this the itching began subsiding in a few minutes. Also, the bite welt didn’t grow beyond that point. Most important, I’ve experienced much less itching later. For each of the 3 bites where I’ve used the Beurer there’s been a little itching a few hours later, but after repeating the longer duration heat treatment the itching stopped, and hasn’t returned. Consider my impressed!

This is undoubtedly the most challenging review I have had to do for a BestBuy product, not because the review was complicated to write but the experience was far more challenging to actually conjure up so that the review could be done on it. This product is supposed to help with the recovery or experience of bug and insect bites and stings. My biggest challenge was to get a volunteer to get stung by a bee or a wasp. My friends were non-cooperative. My wife wanted to sting me when I broached the proposition and this would not have healed that sting. My young daughters were not co-operating as well. With no volunteer in sight, I set out into the garden, not sure whether I really wanted to feel the pain to see the gain. Luckily for me it had rained that evening and no stinging bugs were in sight. My next plan was to get a mosquito bite. My younger daughter volunteered but quite astutely, for a change, I again chose myself as the guinea pig. Unfortunately, it had rained that second evening as well, and it was quite chilly as well. So no amount of time spent on the wet grass with my dog, helped. Thinking that third time's the charm, I went hunting to be hunted by a mosquito the third evening. I was clad in all black and had employed a generous amount of cologne so that the flock comes hunting. And viola, they came. Mosquito bites are quite irritating by themselves but when you see two such buggers sucking on your beloved blood and do nothing so that, well, you want to be sucked dry of your precious blood, the irritation become tenfold. And the bite suddenly stings a bit more, and then some. Anyway, once I was certain that the bites were strong enough, I quickly disposed of the buggers and applied the hot plate. The plate was just a tiny bit uncomfortable. For one bite, I went half-treatment for 3 seconds. For the other one, I went for the full 6 seconds. You feel the heat on your skin but it will not knock you off. But, you will feel it. The end result: honestly, I hate mosquitoes like every normal person and their bites are irritating but I have never been overly consumed by the irritation and inflammation of the bite spot. So, I may not be the perfect guinea pig for this set. However, I must say that the implementation of the hot plate resulted in very little irritation and inflammation in the bite area for the coming hours, leading into the next day. So, I think that it really helped. If you are sensitive to mosquito bites, then this might be a good medicine you can carry in your pockets. If you have stinging wasp and bee problems in your yard, I presume that this will help as well. But, I honestly, cannot really expand on that aspect. One note for the company: the packaging looks good but is just far too complicated. The holes and the locks and that handle: make that geometry more simple. You guys are German. You know how to make the packaging user- friendly. The design and feel of the set is wonderful, I must add. I recommend this product to everyone who has ever been hounded by fleash-eating and blood sucking bugs.

My first impressions were "how does this thing even work?" But the bottom line is, that it does work. The instructions are very simple, you turn it on, push or double push the button, and press it against your insect bite. That's it! The only thing is, it burns. It appears this thing works by applying heat to the bite area so it numbs the area so it doesn't itch. The heat is hot enough to work, but not so hot that it burns you (with damage or irritation). I went to my backyard for one night and got plenty of bites so that I could try this out. On sensitive skin you want to push the button once, which works for 3 seconds. In areas where you have a higher tolerance for pain, you can double push so it runs for 6 seconds, then it really takes care of the problem. I would not recommend this to someone who has a very low tolerance for pain, and maybe they would rather have the bite and itching over a quick burn on the bite area. I honestly can say that I found it to be much better than having to deal with the bite and it's effects.

Having received 10 mosquito bites I was looking for relief. I wasn't even sure this was working. It is a total waste of money. Let the buyer beware!!!! I wish I was warned!

Don’t waste your money on this gimmicky product. Doesn’t work.

Son didn’t like this as a Christmas gift lol. Gotta think how many bugs you get bit buy to determine if it’s worth it.
