The Perfect All-Around BP Machine!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think that with many products, in order to evaluate them properly, you simply have to get past the bells and whistles, and ask yourself, "Does this product do what it is specifically designed to do?" When it comes to blood pressure machines, all I want is a unit that accurately reads my BP, and allows me to have a way of reviewing my past readings. Oh, and letting me know my pulse rate as well. The Beurer Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor does exactly that, and does it very well. The first thing I want to mention is the large, crisp and clear display. With a very bright (but not glaring) background, readings are extremely easy to see. And even with such a large display, the unit's footprint is surprisingly small, which I love. It takes up very little space, so I don't have to spend a lot of thought as to where I can or cannot take my BP readings. In other words, I don't have to be sitting at a desk or table...I can actually sit in a folding chair and have the unit sitting securely on my knee without worrying about whether it will fall off or not. Taking a reading is as simple as placing the cuff on the arm and pressing a button. The machine activates quickly, and in a short time gives you a reading. One thing I really like about it is that it will alert you to any issues it finds, such as irregular heartbeat, etc. Another great feature of this machine is that it will store up to 60 readings for two different people. However, I prefer to write my readings down so that I can review them quicker. To review them on the machine itself means clicking through al the stored readings, and then trying to remember any patterns, etc. As I said in the beginning of this review, the bottom line is whether it does what it is supposed to do, and whether it does it accurately. The Beurer blood pressure monitor fulfills all of my expectations...and more. If you are looking for an easy-to-use and accurate BP monitor, this is the one to get. I would absolutely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great machine at a great price!

Cuff is a bit wider, so tends to not go on straight. I am not sure if should be straight or if follow the angle that fits closest to the arm, so not sure which reading is correct. Otherwise, seems of good quality and has nice features.
