Decent Massage Ball

The Beurer Massage Ball is pretty good for what it is. It is a pretty compact massager that is about the size of a baseball. It uses a few AAA batteries to operate.
I think it is useful for minor muscle aches, but I wouldn't compare it to one of the more expensive high powered devices. I would recommend putting it directly on your skin, because it looses a lot of sensation through clothes.

The little device that could!

Massagers come in all forms and sizes. The Beurer - Vibrating Massage Ball is one such massager. But the beauty of this massager is that it is both portable and as already described vibrating. Looking like a futuristic detonating device seen in sci-fi action movies, the shape alone an when used with pressure is already providing a soothing relief. Add to those two levels of vibrations (powered by AAA batteries) make a perfect little device you can bring anywhere for you to sooth those aching muscles. Not much more can be said except that it gives a good massage in a handy little package. This is definitely worth purchasing.

If you pick this up and think it will do all that a $250 percussion massager will do, then you may be disappointed. if you grab it as a very simple, portable and uncomplicated option to work on target areas as needed- I'm not sure how you can go wrong!
It caught my eye given a couple bouts of plantar fasciitis. I've always found rolling my foot over a ball to be quite effective- add some vibration- POW! For targeted leg & back massage, experimenting with the ball using the enclosed notes leads me to believe that will work well as well.

Good massage ball for tight muscles

I picked this up because i have constant tightness in my lower back and also hip pain. I figured this might help. It is good for helping with my issues I mentioned. The ball unscrews into two halves and you insert the included batteries. Screw it back together and push the power button. There are 2 speeds, low and high.
I followed the instructions in the included booklet, which shows you different ways to use the ball. I worked on my calf muscles and lower back. This does work and does help after a few sessions.
The reason why I took a star off is because they way you use the ball rolling it around under your body, you tend to hit the power button constantly which can cause power intermittence and pause the workout. Can be a bit frustrating. If the power button was re-worked or located in a different location this would be great.
Still would recommend.

Decent vibrating massage ball, but could be better

I’ve been using the Beurer Vibrating Massage Ball for almost a week now and I have used it enough to provide my review. Everything about this massage ball is small, including the packaging. The provided instructions are simple and easy to read. I appreciate they included the necessary batteries. It is smaller than a softball, but slightly larger than a baseball. Its’ small form makes it easy to use anywhere on the body. It’s easy to hold in your hand, and I have small hands. The exterior feels soft, but sturdy. I actually like the feel of it. I am able to lay my entire body on the ball and not worry about breaking it. It makes it that much easier to use on the floor, up against a wall or sitting in a chair. Just the pressure of my body weight pressed up against the massage ball relieves some tension in sore areas, adding the vibration provides some sensation. It has two speed levels.
I do not think this can relieve serious pain, but it can work for minor aches. My 95 year old mother likes the way it feels. But even she prefers the higher intensity speed. I only actually feel the higher spreed works best, but I wish it was even more intense. I believe the idea of the vibrating massage ball is good, but this ball doesn’t provide enough to move the needle for me; even at its current price point. The vibrating massage ball is so small that I wish it came with a small carry bag to store it when not in use. Although the makers included batteries with the massage ball, I wish the included batteries were rechargeable, or better yet, the massage ball contained a recharging lithium battery. I also wish there was a design change and somehow the power button didn’t turn off while I am using it because it rolls with my body. Overall, this vibrating massage ball is a decent start and may be good for beginners with minor aches, but it may to be as effective for deep muscle relief.

Out of the box after you install the alkaline batteries, it was a fight for everyone in the family to get to use it! Easy to operate with 2 intensities. Endless possibilities with how you can use this and its great for recovery and aches and pains. Highly recommend adding this into your post exercise routine. Paired with a foam roller, its perfect! I also like the size vs something larger so its much easier to pack or travel with to events. The outer texture adds another dimension and works in conjunction with the vibrations.

It's OK for what it is...

Fairly simple product in concept. At first blush, I suspect a large number of people will pass right by. It's small enough to simply turn on and place behind your back when you seated in a chair or maybe lying down the floor or a bed, and hit those trouble spots... so in that respect it's pretty effective. And for those who don't like holding their arm up for extended periods of time, using a larger massage wand type of device, the Beurer - Vibrating Massage Ball is very 'handy' for even pin-point focused shoulder or limb targets.
Overall, I would say this massage appliance is worth the money spent but it's not very feature-filled or fancy. The grip is good, the construction is about average and the vibration strength is good.
I give it a 'recommendation' based purely on it's unique use case.
I will note that it can be a bit frustrating putting it back together after you separate the two halves to access the battery compartment.

Useful for the average athlete

The Beurer Vibrating Massaging Ball has a usefulness that cannot be easily dismissed. My standards are high, and I have to acknowledge I’m in the more extreme zone. I play highly competitive softball 3-4 times a week, run 10-20 miles, run trails 6-12 and hike another 15. I tear up my body.
I use a many products for prep and recovery. I like this product because it’s small and has a couple of satisfying vibration settings to complement the textured exterior that works the muscles and tendons.
What I found underwhelming was the level of intensity. I need more, but I think the average athlete will find both the texture and vibrational intensity more than adequate.

Good for pressure points, but has limits

If you've used pressure point items, such as balls and rollers, this will be very similar. It has a good size and firmness to it and works to help relieve muscle aches. It also has the added benefit of vibrating, but I found the motor to be generally under powered for the application. Also having only two speed settings really didn't leave much for customization of the speed. All in all, it works, but I don't know if the vibrating justifies the extra cost.
Side note: It does take a lot of work to separate the halves. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Also, the sides only go together one way as the notches are not the same size inside. On the outside are tiny triangles to match up and I really wish they would have made them a different color or added some markings to the white plastic inside.

I was surprised at how small the ball was, I thought it would be bigger. It was easy to open to put the batteries in, 3 AAA batteries that were included, but boy was it difficult to close properly! The trick was to line up the size of the plastic piece with the appropriate slide slot. Not intuitive. I think I will put a mark on each piece to line it up easy. I don’t like the idea of putting it up against a wall the roll your back on it..that is all I need to make black marks on my walls! I used it while laying on my back in bed and adjusting it to a few trigger points. It was a nice vibration. I would have liked a more intense vibration, but it did feel good. It definitely would be a good item to take on vacation instead of a heavy massager. Nice little item.

Marginal Affect on Back Pain

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
In theory, this device is a great concept at a reasonable price. It has two vibrating speeds and is very portable. However, depending on the intensity of pain you have, it may not do the trick. For minor tightness, I am sure it works well. I have chronic upper back tightness and pain and this device just doesn't get deep enough to have an affect. The vibration, at high level, doesn't det deep enough. Keep that in mind as it may not suffice for more intense pain. Jury is out as this device will totally depend on the expectations from person to person.

Fantastic small massaging ball

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The ball is my new go-to for lighter massage and smaller area coverage. It provides a good medium vibration and is just small enough to work just about anywhere and be used well in the hand.
The battery access is quite simple also - The ball "twists" and then can be opened in half and the batteries are able to be changed from the center of the device.
The ball holds together well, and seems made of VERY durable material, but I've not tested its water/moisture resistance. With the device able to be fully opened, I would be wary of using excessive oils or water-based lubricants on the device, as the seal doesn't seem to be totally fluid-tight.
This is a great massager for the cost, that seems to be well constructed of durable materials. I'd highly recommend.

Incredible performance from such a small product

The Beurer - Vibrating Massage Ball is small, but definitely packs a punch. When I first received the massaging ball, I thought that it wasn't going to be enough to get a bit of relief in tense areas around my body. Well, needless to say I was very wrong. I tried the Beurer - Vibrating Massage Ball in a few different areas on my upper back and thing area and was really impressed at how it helped with the tense areas. It's so easy to use. It's like using a roller, but so much smaller. Its size is great for smaller areas that need massaging.
One thing that I really hope they change for future iterations is to make it rechargeable. Currently, the Beurer - Vibrating Massage Ball uses three AAA batteries (twist and pull upwards). I really would like to have the ability to recharge and save the extra expense of having to buy batteries so often. This is the reason for my rating of the product.
Aside from the battery issue, I truly enjoy using the Beurer - Vibrating Massage Ball. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The vibrating massage ball is a pretty simple ball that, simply put, comes with one button that allows it to vibrate at two speeds.
It's well-constructed and batteries (included) are simple to insert.
Interestingly enough, because it moves as it vibrates, trying to use it up against a wall would not be advised -- sometimes simply holding it in place around the shoulder area provided the best massage experience for me.
Overall, I highly recommend this device for simple massage requirements.

Easy to use and allows you to get to places where a handheld massager may not, like the area inside the shoulder blades. Just lean against a wall and place the ball between you and the wall. Two vibration speeds are available, and one button controls on/off and vibration speed.
Build quality appears solid. The ball twists apart to access the battery tray, which takes 3 AAA batteries. The only disappointment was that it used batteries -- a lithium battery and USB charging port would've been nice.

Great feel for sore muscles

I live on a ranch and the Vibrating Massage Ball helps me quickly work out the soreness and stiffness. It's a convenient size, about the size of a tennis ball, and I can carry with me in my utility vehicle. This allows me to receive therapy while out in the field or sitting on the couch.
I have used the ball for two weeks and am pleased to have this. I have had much larger 'massage' devices before, but I really like the smaller form factor of this one.

This massage ball does magic. I can't massage my back with a massage gun but with this I can all on my own. You will definitely use this to loosen those stiff spots. There is a little learning curve but it's not hard to properly use it.

We've all had back pain or a muscle that requires us to lay on our backs on a tennis ball and try to work out knots. This product is basically just a tennis ball that vibrates. There's 2 settings and to be honest there's not much of a difference between them as one is slightly lower in power than the other, barely. Per the instructions, I tried using it on a wall and floor and didn't really get much relief. I can't really recommend a product that doesn't really get the job done. I'd suggest using a tennis ball or golf ball instead.
