Love the bird buddy!! Was straightforward to set up and is now a ton of fun. We always have birds in our yard and I never knew what kind. My sons and I love checking the apps for new pics and videos and learning what is coming to our new feeder.

At first I thought there was something wrong with my feeder. Three weeks went by and no visitors. I had the feeder on a table because I didn't want to commit to bolt it to a place they might not like. Then I bolted it to the wall just a foot away. That very same day I got a visitor. And once they came, the rest did. At first I got 3-4 visits a day. It has been a week or so and I'm getting visitors every hour. It is so awesome!!! I don't know a thing about birds and now I'm obsessed! The app is wonderful. It doesn't just tells you the type of bird but all sorts of info about them w (what they eat, where they live, what their personalities are like). There's even audio clips of their singing! And you can actually download the app and check it out without having to buy a feeder. You don't need a BirdBuddy to be a part of the community :) I love that. You can see live streams and photos of feeders around the world. Cannot recommend it enough! Makes for quite an incredible nice gift

I received this as a gift and I am loving it!! It was easy to set up and birds started to use it within the first hour of hanging it outside. Its so much fun to watch (and hear) them eat...Bird Buddy sends me both photos and videos. I would recommend this to anyone who is curious about nature; great product!

We're not bird people, but bought this on a bit of a whim. While we're still early in our bird, and bird buddy, journey, the product and experience have been terrific thus far. The feeder is well-made and came mostly assembled. Charging the device and connecting it via the app took little time. Connecting the solar roof to the camera component was easy with a flexible just right length cable. We bought some feed, loaded it up, and...excitedly waited for visitors. The birds have started to arrive. The unit captures nice pics and video. I really like that it identifies the species and lets us know if it is a new type of bird or one we've seen. My kids have started naming our visitors. All in all - we're very content with this product and excited to explore it further. Setup - physical and in the app - was intuitive. We're excited

This is a fun little gadget if you like birds. I am glad I have the solar roof, it has kept the battery charged. Was easy to connect to wifi. It works best if you can mount it solid as the camera will pixelate if swinging in the wind. Overall it's good but there are some issues. The Buddy is made of a hard plastic and the birds slip around and are unable to get a good hold so they hop into the feeding pan or hang off to the side, limiting the view of the bird from the camera. If there is a lot of action the video pixelates. It does snap some good pictures. Overall it's fun to have.

I absolutely love my bird buddy. Took a few days for the birds to find it but they’ve been coming every day. Anyone looking to get into bird watching I absolutely would recommend getting this !

This was bought to replace a non-solar Bird Buddy that had broken. Quality is great overall, and since we've gotten it and given it the initial full charge, the solar panel has kept it above 90% at all times. And it seems like this revision of the hardware has a sharper camera vs the first edition we were using before.

A little tricky at first because I didn't see any lights when I first charged the camera, so I was concerned that it might have been defective. But it was fine. I have used it now for about a week, and the postcard photos are fabulous, and the bird identifications are accurate. My one disappointment is that the video isn't good, because the picture breaks up. I will call to see if Bird Buddy's tech support has a solution.

This review is for the birdbuddy smart feeder with solar roof. The unit itself is definitely worth the price tag. It is built sturdy, easy to setup, and has a very well built app that both casual viewers and bird watching hobbyists will find full of amazing content. The solar roof is great if you get good sunlight in your area as there is much less need for charging the unit (which is super easy to remove and charge when you need to). I have enough devices to keep charged around my home so the solar panel upgrade means there’s one less thing to worry about! I’m still exploring the app and accessing feeders from around the country to see different birds. I am excited to check my app every time I’m notified of a new visitor to see if it’s a species I haven’t seen before or if its one of my regulars! We live next to a busy street and experience a fair amount of traffic noise. We wanted a feeder to see if we could help bring some nature back to our home and learn more about the birds in our area (central Oregon). In just a few days, we now walk out to our backyard to the sound of birds chirping. It honestly makes a world of difference and feels like we’ve invited part of nature back into our home. Highly recommend as part of any household!

This bird feeder is so much fun! It was relatively easy to set up, and has been working well so far. My daughter is obsessed with it. I am so excited to see what birds we can capture.

We love our bird buddy! The pictures really are amazing, and so much fun to view. They’re great quality pictures and videos, with sound. With the solar roof, we’ve only had to charge the battery once in over a month.

I got this for my mom last Christmas and she’s been so eager to set it up, she loves it! The solar panels, the bird identification, the educational value, I could go on and on but I think it’s safe to say this is the best bird house she’s ever owned!

This camera is a great gift idea and there software is pretty good at identifying the birds. There are cheaper options available as this one requires a monthly plan.

This thing is great. Once you have it set up and it starts to work, But unfortunately it's going to stay at a 4-star review because of the paywall. You really can't get the two best features unless you pay $30 a year or $3 a month, which I think is ridiculous to include a subscription model on an item that costs as much as this bird feeder. If and when they remove this ridiculous paywall, I think this would absolutely be a fantastic gift for any nature or bird lover for under the price of $250.

Kind of expensive but I do love that the solar power keeps it charged.

Bought this for my father. He loves it! Unfortunately, it would not connect to wifi. Eventurally able to but stuggled to hold connection.

I am obsessed with Bird Buddy! We love it so much that we got a second one to put on another part of our property. I love the identification feature, the photos, and the videos.
