Brilliant. Complicated. Master work of filmmaking. Also, tedious, pedantic and confusing. One of these is how you will view the movie. I am on board with brilliant but, not a stretch to see how others do not like this movie. Will definitely recommend to the "right" friends and advise others who won't appreciate intricate, character driven, fantastic imaginative storytelling hut would rather watch Expendables 3.

With a cast starring Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Zack Galifianakis, Naomi Watts, Emma Stone amongst others, this is truly one of the best films of the year. From the acting to the plot to the cinematography this Tour De Force movie is a wonderful example of Hollywood's great actors melding together to bring you 2 hours of a wonderful movie experience. Worth watching countless times. Don't miss out on this one.

Birdman is not your average comedy or adventure movie but is highly entertaining and kind of quirky and even weird and that is what helps make it totally original. You need an open mind when seeing this film because the characters can be easily disliked. Michael Keaton's performance as well as the rest of the supporting cast is excellent. Really enjoyed this movie and I would definitely recommend it.

This film was intensely gripping with an all-star ensemble cast. It's best picture Oscar win says it all. Video Quality = good, some definition and the right amount of grain Audio Quality = Excellent. The 5.1 lossless sounded nice on my system - no complaints.

Simultaneously dark & uplifting character piece.

Michael Keaton shines darkly in an all-too appropriate tale of the pigeon-holed Hollywood has-been trying to re-validate himself at 60. Told in almost-real time with fluid camera & a fantastic drums-only score, BIRDMAN brings laugh-out-loud moments & hand-wringing miserable darkness as Keaton's character attempts the "true grit" of the Broadway theater after a career of costumed super hero-ing.

This film is so layered and so well shot. The manner in which they were able to film or give the illusion of filming a continuous shot is amazing. It's seamless. If you watch this film and imagine Birdman to actually be the 1989 Batman, it adds another layer of awesome to the whole shebang. Michael Keaton is great in this as is the entire cast. Very solid movie. 10/10 will watch again.

An Oscar Winner Worthy Of The Oscar

Too often a film wins the Oscar and you find out the movie doesn't live up to expectations, that is not the case with Birdman which has a completely original visual style and story that will keep you interested. Michael Keaton and the rest of the actors are amazing throughout the picture as well. This is definitely a movie that will keep you interested in watching it time and time again.

I was really looking forward to this movie but was left disappointed after watching it. The performances were great and the cinematography was neat as most scene transitions are seamless. However, I think the overall movie, tone, and the story is kind of a mess. I definitely didn't think this deserved the best picture oscar. This movie made me uncomfortable watching it, not because of the content but because of the awkwardness of it all especially the score. I felt it was tough to follow or care about any of the characters too. Maybe that's what the director was going for but I just don't get it. I will give this movie a second viewing because it is unique but if I didn't own it I wouldn't.

The strange and amazing story in Birdman is not to be missed. It's not a "Happy" movie, but it's got a great plot, great actors, and really nice shots - the whole movie is practically one continuous shot! Definitely Oscar worthy, and worth a watch.

Micheal Keaton does a great job as a washed up, washed out actor best known for his role as a superhero called Birdman who is engaged in a battle with his ego and a struggle to reclaim his family while in the process of opening his Broadway play.

Birdman is in my opinion a good movie, one of the best i have seen this year, but not the best. I like M. Keaton performance and the development of the story. i would have loved to seen a little more of birdman in the monologues that keaton had.

I loved this movie. It was funny and sad and curious. Definitely a movie for people who enjoy their imaginations. I thought all the performances were spot on and loved Michael Keaton in all his variations of creative insanity. It is a wonderful thing when a movie expects you to be intelligent and doesnt spoon feed you the story. Not for everyone, but what great movie is?

If you are a fan of cinema, then Birdman is essential viewing. The style, score, and filmmaking techniques are bold and inventive, and it's surprisingly meta story is chock full of hilarious comedy and Hollywood satire topped off with Michael Keaton's incredible performance. This is a movie everyone can connect with in some way, and one that everyone should see.

This film is like a modern Sunset Boulevard. It shows an ex-action hero star lamenting the fact that he was never taken seriously. It's an exceptionally made movie that criticizes the Hollywood system that churns out repetitive, mundane and safe films and has no regard for the true meaning on cinema. The cinematography and long takes are beautiful. Highly recommended.

At first I did not know what to think of this movie, but I am glad I added it to my collection. I thought the concept & story were both great & do recommend watching it at least once, but I don't think this movie is for everyone.

Not everyone will enjoy this movie or like it in the least. I liked it a lot and found it to be full of insight and comedy. It's almost like Keaton's life after Batman in a sort. great movie with a even better cast. Enjoy.

There are movies, films and cinematic art. Birdman is in the last category. As with most art, its meaning is not always clear and may appear confusing at times because nothing is really spelled out. If you need to have everything explained in a movie, then buy a Batman film. Birdman lets the viewer draw their own conclusions, which very few films do.

I've seen many Michael Keaton movies, and this is right up there with them. He's a really versatile actor, and this movie doesn't disappoint. Probably wouldn't have been my pick for best picture, but worthy of a nomination.

Michael Keaton more or less took off after his Batman appearances. Now he is playing off those films with this brilliant study of art and personal ambition. Great to see Keaton back. Next he's in SKULL ISLAND!
