I'll admit, I thought this would be a lighthearted super-hero parody movie, and what it turns out to be is a great look at the dynamic of Hollywood vs. Broadway theater, and the actors who work in those fields. With memorable scenes and great lines, this was a must have for my movie collection.

This is honestly one of my favorite movies I've seen the past several years. It is incredibly well done and original. The editing, cinematography, music and everything else is beautifully done. The bonus features on the Blu-Ray were fun to watch as well. Particularly the "all-access" feature.

This is one of those movies where everything works: the acting, the directing, the writing... Everything. It's absolutely pitch-perfect, and it's not for me to bore you with its story (that many, much more qualified critics than me have discussed at length). Just buy it. You won't regret it.

Well done movie, Ed Norton and Michael Keaton great. However, no idea how this won best picture in 2014. Whiplash much better story, along with equally good acting performances.

Everything about this movie is superb. It is also a true original. I loved the music, the unpredictable characters and great ensemble acting. It is not a typical Hollywood formula film and is a bit far-out, but I loved the imagination and strong character convictions.

Birdman is an expertly crafted love letter to both film and theater. It's a carefully choreographed ballet of unforgettable performances. Darkly comedic and subversive. It's a nearly flawless film, marred only by the last 10 minutes or so which honestly were unnecessary to the story.

If you like witty meta comedy or any of the wonderful actors found in this film then all I can do is tell you stop sitting around and watch it! I laughed, I felt sincere emotion, and it even made me look at myself. It was an excellent movie and I will be watching it time and again.

This movie is unique and a wonderful look into Broadway and Film and one mans struggle to find relevance at the twilight of his career. The Blu Ray looks fantastic and the packaging is very cool as well with an unusual red case. I recommend this product to all collectors out there.

Got this black Fri. because it won awards. Thought it wasn't too good at first but weird as it was it grew on me as it went and ended up a thought provoker.

Not the best movie of 2014 as the awards ceremonies would have you believe but Hollywood loves a movie about Hollywood and this ranks among the best of the subjectm

This film shines a light on the aging cinema star in the twilight of his career. The tale delves into the psychosis of coming to terms with the fact the world has passed you by and that without adapting along the way the fall from the zeitgeist can be a long, depressing journey

I was surprised by this movie after watching it the cast did an awesome job and micheal keaton killed it was worth the money and will definetly be watching it again

Michael Keaton at one of his best performances. You get to experience a little of all his roles wrapped into one. Also get to somewhat experience what his life could've been like if only known just for Batman or if that was the role that made him famous. Great cast, great movie.

WHAT A FILM !, the process of how this story of how humans in general are sometimes tormented by our own thoughts and how we find ways to try escape but we end up falling back into those habits until we finally confront them and face them right on is what Birdman demonstrates .

I have to say that this movie is something never done before and it truly is Michael Keaton's best performance. Not your typical superhero movie but well worth a watch.

This movie is pretty odd, and at times a bit slow, but excellent acting, and pretty accurate regarding what it takes to make a stage play happen. Theatre can be cruel.

This movie is going to be one of the first of many that takes a story and shoots it as a continuous slice of life shot in real time. Keaton has been gone to long and after his turn in this with a great supporting cast, I imagine we'll see him in many more new movies to come.

A very interesting film. It has a wonderful cast that has given a solid performance. Michael Keaton is at his best. The plot at times was hard to follow though.

saw this in store and noticed how it was a red cover case instead of the usual blue casing and after hearing it won oscars and was nominated and such i figured i should get it and see what all the hype is about. movie is kind of confusing and dull at points, but interesting.

Its funny because this movie almost feels like of a homage to his Tim Burton Batman 1989 film version. One last act to show people that he is Birdman (Batman). Great film with lively characters. The film knows what it wants to be and has no problem entertaining the audience.
