I would give this machine a 5 for overall value and quality, but it's heavy. We have a split level home, and to bring that up and down the stairs is a bit of a project. I would recommend bringing the tanks up or down the stairs first, and then drag the machine itself to wherever you need to use it. Other than weight which can be overcome... this is one of the best cleaning machines that I have found. When you use this in conjunction with their cleaning solution, it leaves the carpet feeling soft and it definitely cleans as advertised. It has a space saving design so that it fits in closets really easily as the handle folds over.

We bought this bissell big green cleaner after doing a lot of research. We bought it when it was on sale. We have light carpets , 14 years old never been cleaned. The big green cleaner was amazing to say the least, easy to use and cleaned the carpet like it was new. We were amazed at the suction it had to remove the water from the carpet. Right after cleaning we sprayed DuPont advanced carpet protector on it according to the manufactures specs. This is very important to after cleaning the carpet . The bissell big green cleaner is worth the money.

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing the Big green machine. This thing really cleans well. I cleaned area rugs, the stairs and upstairs. It wasn't as bulky as you might imagine.. It exceeded my expectations…and they were high. If your looking to get a carpet cleaner that actually deep cleans the carpets this is your machine.... Highly recommended

This machine is definitely not you’re regular carpet cleaning machine. Having older carpets but not the cash flow to replace them this machine has brought them back to life. I’ve tried every kind of shampooer and not one has come close to the level of clean that this green monster has done. Its big, but not too wide for storage in a linen closet. The handle does fold to lessen its footprint. 2 gallon water tank is a big plus for cleaning large area or extra cleaning. Long enough cleaning hose and has one attachment. I had other Bissell attachments that work with this hoss. Easy to empty waste tank. Easy to clean out all parts and bye bye to stuck animal fur and carpet fragments in the machine. I have kids, cats, and dogs. This machine is what the YouTube videos claim it to be. The Big Green slogan should be “Go big or go home.”

I bought this carpet cleaner because my house has a lot of carpet. The children have spills and the dog has accidents. This cleaner is by far the best that I have purchased. Stains that I thought would not come out disappeared. I am glad that I purchased this cleaner. The only con is that it’s heavy.

After owning a couple other machines that just didn’t pull water out unless you added pressure on the machine, we decided it was time for a more heavy duty cleaner. Went to loca Best Buy to purchase a rug doctor for around $300. Once we got in store and compared the two top end machines, it was a no brained that this green machine was the way to go. This is a heavy machine. 40 or so pounds. So plan to take some effort if you have to clean a multilevel home. However being heavy is why this machine works so good. Has enough weight to actually get deep into the carpet and suck the funk out. We’ve been cleaning our carpet since it was new 3 years ago with our old machine from Best Buy. Thought they were clean... the almost black water being dumped from our green machine is so disgusting but goes to show how well this actually cleans. Not to mention our carpets were dry in around an hour compared to half a day or worse with our old machine. This is the best carpet cleaner I’ve ever owned or used (from rentals). Highly recommend doing it right the first time and getting this machine.

This carpet cleaner works just as well as the pros. It was easy to put together and operate. My carpet was pretty dirty so I went over it a couple times and each pass it pulled a lot of dirt out of the carpet. For the price to call a professional this cleaner will pay for itself with just a couple uses.

Very good unit! WOW I was impressed how it cleaned! I had some issues with it but I figured it out. This unit is very heavy but works the very best. Highly recommend! Must buy!

After getting a couple of quotes for carpet cleaning I did some research on this machine. 100’s of reviews all happy, and I see why. This machine is great! Easy to use, and does an amazing job. Will be nice to have for quick spills if needed, or an annual cleaning. Highly recommended

We have two dogs and 10 year old carpet. We were getting professional carpet cleaning estimates and for the prices we were getting decided to try this cleaner. It worked magically. Easy to use and empty. Sucked up tons of stuff I didn’t think was in our carpet. Great buy

Wow! This thing Sucks! It’s a little bulky and heavy, but my 5’00”, 105 lbs wife can handle it just fine. We both love it and it really cleaned our carpets very well. If you want a really clean carpet, you need this.

This carpet cleaner is easy to use and works great! I have a new puppy and it worked miracles on all of the little puppy stains. As well, the carpet was dry within a couple of hours.

Works well, cleans well, a bit heavy to use for an elderly person like me but would not be so for a healthy person. Lol !! Love this machine and glad I purchased it.

Very impressed with cleaning results . Easy to use ... a bit heavy ...but makes up in cleaning ability. Excellent warranty for homeowner as machine is used occasionally. Cannot speak of durability just yet but appears well built.

You get what you pay for! This model is a little on the pricey side but was able to get the job done. Saved us $4K in new carpet. Highly recommend for bigger jobs, deeper stains. The attachment worked very well on our staircase.

During my vacation I had the chance to use my new Bissell Carpet machine. It was easy to and the directions were very easy to understand. the machine worked better than any machine that I had in the past. The machine also had great scrubbing power as well as suction.

I have triexta carpeting, and I needed a new carpet shampooer for it. This handled the soft carpet without a hitch, and did an excellent job cleaning it. This shampooer is also the easiest one I have had to fill and take apart to clean when done.

Does an excellent job cleaning. Only downfall is you have to empty the container of soapy water to fill with fresh for rinsing. To get around this I purchased a second water tank and keep one for fresh water and one for soapy. Suctions good so drying time is reduced. Overall good investment

It is so easy to use, easy to push, easy to clean up. So light. It does clean forward and backward. The cord is long enough for large rooms and stairs to not need to switch sockets. Very happy with this purchase. Would recommend to everyone.
