I watched a couple of youtube reviews and the big green machine received high marks. I understand why! This machine did a great job of removing pet stains, and cleaning the high traffic areas of our home. Don't let the price scare you away...you get what you pay for. So far this works just as well as the machines you rent. IT IS HEAVY!!! So be prepared for that. We have a smaller unit for spot removal. Buy with confidence!

This is my third time buying one of these machines. Not because they have broken, but I have had friends/family "borrow" it and then never return. Everyone loves it! I had a certain blue carpet cleaner for several years and it was great! Once you try this machine though, you will wonder why you ever used something else. The large tanks make filling it up and emptying easier and less frequent. The roller scrub brush compared to the sweeping motion of the old blue machine is superior and cleans much better in my opinion. The heater blowing out the bottom helps to dry the carpets and the powerful suction leaves less water in the carpet which helps speed up the dry time. The BEST feature with this cleaner compared to others is the forward motion cleaning! With the blue competitor, you can only pull back and then tilt back and push forward, so you're doing double the work and doubling the time. Being able to have it clean and scrub forwards and backward is AMAZING and makes it totally worth the price.

This carpet cleaner was easy to use and got more dirt out of our carpet than the professional companies did!

This is my first experience with a carpet cleaning machine. I've used it a few times now and it seems to work well. If you have pets, just make sure to clean it really well after each use. It came with three little bottles of the "Deep Clean" soap but I think I will try the one with Oxy the next time. My carpet was pretty dirty and I did not pretreat as recommended.

I have had several top-rated carpet cleaners, but this one is by far the best. I looked at consumer guides to find the best carpet cleaner and this one was listed on several sites as being the best. It was even on sale at Best Buy! I agree with the reviews I read that it does a great job and is much better than others I have used.

This is an excellent machine thus far. I bought a scrubber that you attach to a drill for the heavy traffic areas and stains. Afterwards, I used the machine and the stains disappeared. Even the heavy traffic areas look great again and my carpet is 9 years old. Great investment.

I have been eyeing buying a professional carpet cleaner for years (I used to rent a machine yearly) and finally took the plunge. The Bissell Big Green Machine exceeded all my expectations in ease of use and outcome of my rugs! Much better clean than the ol Rug Doctor from Safeway. That being said, I've only used it once so far and probably won't use it again til next year, so I can't really attest to it's longevity or durability. If I can use it 10 times before it stops working, I feel like I will have got my money's worth.

I really am surprised how good this works. My children can actually use it that's how easy it is. Dumping the dirty water is ok I wish there was a pour spout of some kind. I do like how easy it is to clean out the dump tank. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in buying a carpet cleaner. Also it's very easy to store.

I've cleaned my carpets with a rental unit from Best Buy and had a professional guy with the van and the long hose do the job and neither was as good as the Big Green Machine. Use really hot water out the tap, add detergent, and clean with slow overlapping strokes. You'll get professional looking job to be proud of. I wish it was cheaper( I paid $450 )but is really is worth the money.

This machine does a really good job cleaning and it is easier to clean afterwards. It has enough capacity to clean the entire house with only one refill and is designed so one can replace the belt and brushes. It is less maneuverable than our old smaller one, but cleans considerably better. Bought it when one of our dogs got sick all over the livingroom carpet, and it did the job!

I have used many carpet shampooers throughout the years. I read the reviews on this one and decided to take a chance. I am so extremely happy with this carpet shampooer. It literally sucks up almost every drop of water and my carpets are dry within minutes after shampooing. Highly recommend!!

Heavenly. If you are tired of paying steam cleaners to improve the condition of your carpets, this is the product for you. Being a do-it- yourself kind of person, I purchased this product after reading many reviews. Works beautifully. My carpets were clean, smelled pleasant and looked incredible. This product is also made from recycled materials which is an environmental win.
