Great price for a vacuum that is able to handle many of my toddler's messes. Cheerios and dog hair are sucked in and I have not had a clog. Also, the lights on the front of the vacuum was a feature I never knew I needed. It makes the contents on the rug more visible resulting in more efficient cleaning.

Excellent suction cleans dog fur easily and is easy to clean.

I’ve had the vacuum for about a month. The good - we have 2 large dogs and 2 cats in the house. We have some flat, textured wool carpets that embed hair. All my references are in regard to the pet, upright versions of vacuums. Dyson and Shark could not get the hair out of the wool carpets. Bissel and Hoover can. Bissel is the only one that has a stiff brush that takes the hair easily off of furniture. It has another beater brush that I don’t need to use. We have hardwood, tile, thick and flat carpeting and it sweeps all well with manual adjustments to adjust if the brush is on and to adjust for carpet height. We do have one area rug which is a flat pile that the brushes seem to have a problem with. I’m not sure why. The bad - it clogged to unusable within a week. My husband had to take the whole vacuum apart to unclog it. Have been using for 3 weeks since then with no problems. It also has a shorter cord and smaller canister than the Hoover. However the Hoover was made out of super cheap plastic - we went through 2 in less than 2 years. Hopefully the Bissell lasts longer!

Works great! Cant complain! We have dogs & cats so it really does a good job.

Love this vacuum. Have a dog and pet hair is a big problem for us. The suction works great on different carpet types. This works better than the previous vacuum we thought worked great.

Works really well. Has good suction and like the feature where you can turn off beater bar for hardwood floors etc.

Overall a good vacuum. The couple of things that were not quite up to par were the cord and how it hangs and that there is not an extension wand with it and not one available for this model and I have 18 foot ceilings in my house and even though the canister comes off, I would have liked to have had more reach.

Haven't used it much, but seems to work well. A little off-putting the first time you go to lay it down and there is no release button. It just lays down when you pull on it. This seems like it might be an item to wear out. But we will see in time. Good to use, has good suction. Seems to pick up lots of material. Wanted to try it out in the car and remove it from the base to see how portable it can really be, but haven't gotten it outside yet. But around the house it seems to work quite well in "mobile" mode.

It works wonderful and actually made my carpet look really clean because the suction on the vacuum is amazing and got a lot of dirt out of the carpet! Also the cord is long enough. It stretches all the way down my 13 steps so I don’t have to worry about the cord when I vacuum the steps. I would definitely buy again.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I haven't had it very long. It picks up beautifully. I like the option that keeps the brush hair and string free. I had been using a small vacuum and thought it was "at least" picking up the dirt. I found out I was wrong, the first time I used this one. It picked up sooo much more! I super like the detachable hose.

This is a very easy to use, pretty powerful vacuum. My only wish is that it was cordless as I have already had issues with the cord getting stuck in between the pieces.

Love the ease of the lift off and it has great suction, but isn't as easy to move and doesn't pick up sand on bare floor as well as my Kirby. It does the job well though especially with pet hair and I love that they give so much back to the animals!

Great vacuum. After owning a cordless dyson v11 animal for a few years we picked this one up as the dyson has taken some damage from being dropped. Cleaned a bedroom with the dyson 2 times and then came in after with this vacuum and filled the dust bin. Never going back again

Works great. I feel it needed better feel. It works great and picks up a ton. It comes apart so you can do stairs. I would buy again. Hope this helps.

Cleans very well, picks up hair that I didn't know was on the carpet. I used a rainbow first and then followed that with this vacuum and it picked up hair and dirt that the rainbow missed, It's kind of hard to get used to the pivot point on the vacuum but once you use it once it's no issue.
