Especially if you have animals (which I do not) or allergies (I do). Deep cleaned my carpet so well!! I cannot believe the amount of dirt and dust it picks up! I could tell the difference in my allergy symptoms the next day after vacuuming. Picks up dirt that you don't wouldn't even think is there, very impressed with this, and it is definitely worth the money! The only thing I didn't like about it, is that you have to manually wrap the cord around the loop when you are done. My old vacuum (different brand) had a button that sucked the cord up when you were done using it, but I can live without that.
