    Great for shedding Retrievers

I have a golden retriever who sheds like no other and this has worked greatly. Carpet, rug, tile, vinyl. I have noticed the wheels leave tiny scuff marks on the vinyl but go away when mopped. The liftoff feature is okay, less bulk to carry but isn't very stable if you set it down. Attachments work as well as expected. Has the same issue many other vacuums have with hair and debris getting stuck in the canister. Same with hair being wrapped up in the brush. An odd smell (musty) occurred after a few months of use, may just need a new filter already even after cleaning it every week. Small things that add up to missing the 5th star

    Good Price, Pretty Good Vacuum

As vacuums go, there aren't really any surprises here - this is a corded upright vacuum marketed to pet owners. It provides a lower cost alternative to Bissell's pricier models. Their only new-ish selling point here is the claim that the brushes on the beater bar don't get tangled in pet hair. Setup and assembly were extremely intuitive - from closed box to use took less than five minutes. Suction is adequate but not terribly strong - this certainly contributed to a real problem with edge cleaning (especially when moving along walls). The beater bar was powerful enough to help clean well in the direct path of the vacuum, but I found that the brushes on the beater bar did actually crate tangles of pet hair (see picture below). Also, the debris separator above the collection canister has an internal ridge that is a magnet for pet hair - easy enough to clean by removing two screws but that seems like a design flaw. Comes with two standard attachments - a combined crevice/brush tool and a smaller head with a motorized beater brush. The canister lifts off the base so you can carry it with you while you use the attachments. Probably best for smaller house or apartment. There are always compromises with lower priced vacuums.

I bought this vacuum to replace my Shark vacuum that couldn’t be repaired. We have a German Shepherd who sheds a lot so I wanted something good for pet hair. I did a lot of research and Bissel was highly rated and had a decent price. It was very easy to assemble. As far as cleaning, it works it great on carpet. It gets dog hair off our rugs great. I like that the canister comes off to be able to easily vacuum the stairs and it’s easy to empty when done. It does not do well on our hardwood floors with the roller off. It will not even pick up loose dog hair. It is also hard to push when on carpet but there is a button to change the height which helps with that. I also wish the cord was longer. I can’t vacuum from one side of my living room to the other without moving the plug and it’s not a big room. Overall, it’s an ok vacuum for the price if you just have carpet but I wish I had went with another Shark to be able to clean both hard and carpeted floors with the same machine.

Well, since Bissell loves pets, I love Bissell. Has been this way for a long time. They make affordable vacuums that survive the long haul. Since my pets seriously shed like there is no tomorrow, and since they are both long haired, it would be the same as saying the vacuum is aged by 10x as much as if I didn't have that hair to clean up. The long haired German Shepherd is a more coarse and fluffy type fur while the long haired Chihuahua fur is more fine and flat, both are a challenge to keep up after. That said, my first tank is shown below. And this was done AFTER I just did a huge vacuum the evening before. So, you can see that even after the big vac job was done there was plenty left over because the dogs were not upstairs that long to leave that much hair anew. The vacuum has some great features, from the stair tool attachment that is vacuum powered vs. electricity powered, to the dust/crevice attachment, to the lift to remove from the power head, to the multiple filters, and even the ability to remove the wand and do vacuuming without the power head or tank. It's a great value, a great product, a strong motor, easy to clean and dump the tank after each use, and from a name I will always trust, Bissell. You won't smell the dog hair smell, and I'm supposing this is because of the allergen filtering system. This is worth alot to me being someone who has issues with dust and dander. It says it is HEPA filtration and I believe it as I have not smelled or seen dust flying around. When going from carpet to bare floors, just turn off the power bar with the switch without changing anything! This is helpful, along with the roller that promises not to get hair all wrapped up around it. So far it's been awesome!

So I'm new to BISSELL Vacuums. For at least 20 years I've had Dyson's, uprights and the stair hugger type. Great vacuum but I seemed to be replacing parts quite a bit on my last upright and they took for ages to arrive. So as the brush part needed to be replaced, I decided I would try a different brand. My verdict....I really like it. We have an English Cream Golden Retriever and he sheds but this badboy sucks his fur up a lot better than my Dyson. Price was reasonable and I'm loving the lights on the brush head. Ingenious. I love how simple the handle can be removed and replaced. After having a new hose for my Dyson, it was a struggle to replace it. I also like how you can take the canister off while vacuuming. Little niggles, cord not long enough and the canister is smaller than a Dyson but I will say it is not a deal breaker. Happy housewife.

EXTREMELY content with this product!! I was very hesitate about spending over $60 bucks for a vacuum however this CleanView is completely worth it and I guess you really do get what you pay for. SetUp was quick and not complicated at all. It's NOT made with cheap plastic so I can be secure that I'll probably have it as long as I need. It's NOT super loud so my cats weren't tramatized by it (because that was a concern); although, they took-off simply when the Best Buy Guy knocked on the door to deliver the vacuum but go figure! And the best part of all is that it REALLY PERFORMS!! I didn't even realize that my carpet was in the condition that it was in because the landlord claimed the it was recently treated. But after using this Bissell and I am not disappointed; learned that the landlady is not a truth-teller but still I am not disappointed!!! Some one else would probably be turned off by the fact that I had to dump the canister several times but personally I didn't mind because that's how I knew it was doin' WORK! We've always had hard wood floors so we never really needed a vac but now having carpet, I was so leary of how much to spend on a vacuum, and what company to buy from, and will it do what I need it to do, etc., etc.... but whatever anxiety that I had, this one product sucked it ALL AWAY along with my cats hair, dust mites, the vibes and energy that the previous tenant left behind, and everything else not welcomed in my home. I am SUPER PLEASED!..not to mention Best Buy had it at $50 bucks off! I CAN NOT COMPLAIN, PEOPLE!!!

This is the best sweeper I have ever used or bought. I've had other Bissell vacs... And other brands including Dysons, Dirt Devils and Hoovers... And none moved as easily or picked up as well as this one does. The attachments fit securely and are neatly tucked away until needed. Handles pet hair very well and with ease it converts to a carry vac makes it even more awesome. The whole unit is very lightweight which was one of things I noticed first. It made quick work of vacuuming my car. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

We discussed the need for a new vacuum at breakfast. By late afternoon this had arrived. Incredible by Best Buy. As for the vacuum itself it’s an excellent device. Not too loud, excels at pet hair removal, the Lift-Off system converts it to a canister that is a great feature. We love the build quality and ease of use. Cleaning is easy, dust collection chamber isn’t large enough though. Only other con I’d caution a perspective buyer would be the that one canister mode it is a tad weighty if using for an extended period.

Oh my gosh! Best vacuum I have ever owned!! You can take apart the pieces to unclog it when your fur baby clogs it. Picks up all the pet hair so smoothly and it is quiet for a vacuum. Best purchase ever!! Little attachments for ceiling fan and tight spaces.

Our old vacuum quit working. I had the old vacuum for many years so shopping for a new one online was different. This vacuum system is more powerful, has the ability to remove the canister for cleaning high place, and is great for pet hair. The roller can be shut off which is good because we have both carpet and hardwood floors. It is lightweight. Canister is easy to empty. And it has a light which made me realize how poorly my old vacuum was cleaning. It swivels and I’ve had some trouble getting used to that.

Great vacuum cleaner for pet hair. Just remember you have to turn the brush switch to 'on' to vacuum the floor. Nice and powerful and the brush doesn't get all tangled. Love that you can detach the canister and use the tools with it, make vacuuming stairs and hard to reach places so much easier.

We like this vacuum. It’s easy to manipulate, not too heavy to carry up and downstairs. Also easy to use hose and attachments. Picks up dog hair, had a light to see crumbs. Also good to see when the canister needs to be dumped. You can switch from hardwood floors to carpet with a button.

The vacuum does a great job on getting pet hair off the couch but the brush on the bottom gets easily hung up with hair which is why I bought a new vacuum in the first place. My old one I had the same problem and on the box it said hair doesn’t get caught up, but it does. The light on it is very nice and the canister is easy to remove and clean out. The length of the cord is pretty good too. Overall, It does a good job for the price.

I bought this product because my Dyson was no longer doing the job and they didn’t have the one I wanted in stock. I moved forward with purchasing this vacuum cleaner and it by far surpasses my old Dyson. It picks up so much of the cat hair and dirt! I do not regret this purchase.
