This vacuum has pluses and definite minuses. The pluses are that the suction is pretty good, it's fairly wide and hey, it looks really nice which is what initially drew me to look at it. The main drawback is that it's hard to clean the canister as you can never fully get it clean easily without poking the sides to try and pull out the canister contents. It has something running right up the center of the canister making it impossible to just simply shake the contents in a trash bag without fussing with it. It's also fairly loud. We put up with it for about a year but have given up and am going to buy a different vacuum cleaner now. I would not recommend this vacuum cleaner personally. We have three dogs so pet hair is a given - and this is not an ideal vacuum if you tend to have pet hair to contend with in the canister.The canister wins the battle every time and so the canister is never really fully clean. There are better options out there.

This vacuum was a great purchase. It is very to clean. My wife likes it very much.

This vacuum has a lot of power, it cleans our floors well.

While it does a nice job on carpets, and we figured the lack of a brush turn off switch would'nt be a problem on the bare floors, there is another issue. To use the tool for upholstery, etc you have to remove the hose from the floor pick up area. Since the brush turns ALL the time, even with the handle in the up position, using the tools is a mess. As the brush is spinning while you use the tool on whatever, the dirt and or dust created by the spinning brush just shoots out of the connector where the hose was attached on the floor collector. Called Bissell and they confirmed that was the way it worked and to clean the carpet first and better before using the tools. Goes back tomorrow.

This was a great vacuum Meitner detachable body to vacuum stairs and some hard to reach places. Unfortunately, it started to be less effective after 3 years of use.

Bought this product for basic needs. Hardwood floors, tile and carpet. Product works well on all surfaces. Have three Dyson's and this product for the money is a great value. I will continue the us of this produce for everyday cleaning.

This is a great little vacuum. This is the second on that I have owned only because the locking mechanism that keeps it upright gave out. But with the extended geek squad coverage I just swapped out for the new model.

If you dont like winding cord up this is the one for you!

Love this vacuum. Bought it because I have 2 dogs and u need a good vacuum to pick up their hair. Not outrageously priced and gets the job done

Its looks small and nice and clear view brush cleans well. Until now no problem, i need to wait to see how it work?

I'm happy with my vacuum. And I got it one sale for a good deal.

Pros:Good product line. Auto cord rewind. Easy access power switch plus foot and tank releases; filters all easy to clean. CONS:POOR height adjustment [my other Bissell had 7 this has 5 and does not clear my low shag, and knob assembly needed to be fixed as it was not working upon purchase]; does not work on scatter rugs like my other Bissell; VERY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER-have to push and pull with two hands; TOO BULKY to fit under chairs (like my other Bissell); both brush attachments fall off; cord does not stay in the cord clip (like my other Bissell); machine is to bulky to use carry handle alone [product needs another place low in the front to properly 'lift' this machine. I'm considering returning it. None of these faults/cons were mentioned in the reviews I read.

This product picks up very good, but the dust is always getting stuck near the filter. I'm having to always clean it out every 5 mins so it can spin like it suppose to.

I loved this vacuum until I discovered it was burning multiple holes in my beautiful rugs.

Awful vacuum, don't buy! I'd done a lot of paper shredding, and I used the vacuum the first time to pick up the many pieces of shred that were all over the place. Even with more than a half dozen passes, it missed a ton of the shreds. Even worse, it pushed many shreds forward rather than picking them up, and regurgitated other shreds it had picked up. I'd thought Bissell was a decent brand. Based on this experience, I couldn't be more disappointed.

Do not buy this vacuum cleaner. We used it less than 12 times and it doesn't work. Every time we used it, we had to unscrew the entire bottom to get the belt & wheels working again. Overheats regardless of cleaning filters, emptying, etc. A real piece of junk. Surprised this came from Bissell. Thought they were better than this. Their CSV was horrible. Maybe yours will last long than 6 months, but our's is in the trash. Invest in a Shark!
