Reliable and good for homes with pets
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kitten is small, and doesn't shed a lot yet, but I'm looking forward to using this even more as she grows, not to mention cleaning up after everyone else in the house. It has a crevice tool, which can help with hard to reach places, and along baseboards, but the feature that specifically for cleaning up after pets is a tool for furniture, a pet 'erasing' piece, which works well so far. I am interested to see how this works over time, but no issues with anything I've used at this point. I had a little difficulty with putting it together- the screws would not go down all the way, and I may have to use a cordless screwdriver to finish or leave them alone, as the handle is already securely attached. Also the crevice tool sits awkwardly when stored, not like it shows in the pictures. As far as the usage of this vacuum, I've had no problems. It works on carpet and bare floors, which is another important feature for my household. This also comes with one Febreze filter, to use in place of the regular one, if you prefer. I also like that you don't need bags, although most are that way these days. Emptying the canister could be a little messy if you're not careful, but I didn't really have a problem. This a lightweight model that is easy to maneuver around, with the 'swivel' design that makes this easy to use, and get all the areas I want to reach. The main part of the vacuum is wide enough to save time and the brushes do a great job of picking things up, without extra passes over the same area. I would definitely recommend checking this out, especially if you have pets.

Great vacuum, setup a little involved
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great vacuum overall. It has good suction and does a pretty good job cleaning. It does, however require a screwdriver to setup. This isn't the reason for dropping to 4 stars, but I wish all the pieces just snapped in. Once it's setup though, it wasn't easy to figure out where to put all the parts, and there even seemed to be an extra one. It works as it's supposed to though. If Bissell made the setup a little easier, I'd bump this to 5 stars.

Bissell CleanView Bagless Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so this vacuum I received a few days ago to test out. And I must say this is a pretty awesome vacuum. First it took about 2 minutes to put together after connecting the handle to the vacuum base with the 2 included screws. This fun vacuum also came with the usual standard attachments most vacuums come with in addition to the owner's manual and quick start guide. This vacuum has a huge canister which is amazing and means less emptying. But the most exciting this about this vacuum is the cord management. At the bottom on the right side you'll notice the plug sticks out. It is on a reel of some sort that winds up the cord for you and tucks it away inside when the gray button on the left side is pressed down. It winds up pretty quick so it may be good to kind of keep and eye on the cord as its wound up inside. Another good thing about this vacuum is the flawless and seamless swivel action it has going on. You can get under tables and chairs and couches a lot easier. One other thing I'd like to point out is that this vacuum came with a Febreze filter that can be installed under the lid of the top of the canister. So it will make your home smell fresh while vacuuming. Also on top of that is an indicator that tells you if somethings clogging up the tube somewhere. Its a suction indicator. I totally recommend this fun vacuum for anyone looking for a nice vacuum in this price range.

Better than I thought!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical on what to expect with bigger brands out there. I have an older Shark Vacuum I've been using for years, you know the kind that "don't lose suction". I waited until I was going to do a full cleaning with the Bissell before writing a review and I can say that I'm impressed. It was easy to put together. Everything basically snapped on except the handle was 2 screws. The first thing I noticed was that the cord was retractable. Wow! I love that. I don't need to stop cleaning to unwind more cord, I can just pull as I go and hit a button with my foot to retract it back. The cord on my shark got in the way sometimes having to wrap it around, the cord here is internal so it never gets in the way. There is also the swivel which I had to get adjusted to, but its a quick learning process, its an added convenience cleaning from one spot instead of having to move with every angle you tackle. The Bissell also came with an extra washable filter for backup and has a suction indicator on top of the filter, I guess it lets you know when you need to clean the filter out. All in all, its a pretty good vacuum, especially if you don't want to spend $200-300 on the nicer end Vacuums. I look forward to my next cleaning session =)

Good cord length
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn’t like it. When I used the hard floor option, dirt was coming out of the vacuum , instead of being sucked up.

Works great and easy to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is full size but is as easy to use as a compact sweeper. It cleans very well and the dirt collector is easy to use. There are no filters to have to buy and it comes with an extra washable dust filter. It has all the features of more expensive brands and this will be my new primary vacuum for our upstairs carpet.

Whole lot of vacuum for a lot less $$$
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it finally came to time to replace our 10 year old Bissell vacuum I knew were to start looking first. Bissell has proven to be reliable brand. When I received this unit the set up was quick and easy. A screwdriver was only required for the 2 screws to attach the handle part. Compared to our old unit this one is slightly quieter but has a much better suction power. The Febreze filter is a nice addition that helps with leaving a clean scent on the room. Performance you get at this price point is awesome. The additional tools provided help cleaning stairwells and other hard to reach areas. I do wish the vacuum hose was longer trying to clean and keep an eye on the vacuum so it doesn't come crashing down the stairs is no fun.On hardwood floors it also performs well and it's much easier compared to the old broom stick. So far I"m very satisfied with our new vacuum and I would highly recommend it. At this price point on how well it has perform it has exceeded my expectations.

Bissell - Smooth Strong Suction but a Bit Heavy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the lower end price range this is a great vacuum. Compared to the Shark Line, it does a decent job at lifting up the dirt, hair (human or pet) and overall cleaning of carpet or hard surface floors. This vacuum is a bit heavy, to use on stairs isn't the most ideal option. Suction is strong and picks up a great amount of dirt and debris. A great thing is the vacuum head is clear and the roller is visible. This is a plus as you can see everything that it picks up. You also have the option to adjust the height, depending on the type of floor. Maneuverability is moderate but doesn't have the great turning ability as other vacuums. Attachments for the unit a good but were very clunky and didn't always fit in the slots and would either pop or fall off during use. Emptying and removing the canister was very easy. A great feature was the scented filter. As the vacuum runs, it fills the air with the Febreze scent, which can be replaced when needed. All in all a great buy for the price point.

Not the sturdiest, but a solid performer...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comparing this directly to our ~10 year old Dyson DC25 All Floors I can definitely say that it does a better job on carpeted surfaces. But, it's brand new -- so I would expect it to. What it doesn't have going for it is feel...the Bissell just feels "cheap" by comparison. Everything is very light and while not being flimsy, there is a certain bit of lightness to it that doesn't register as "wow, this is nice and light, I can move it so easily." It more-so comes across as "this just doesn't feel like it has a really high build quality." And on that note, I said this to myself while taking it all out of the box. There is literally ONE -- yes, ONE -- single piece that you have to put together during the un-boxing process (there are two screws that hold the handle, but that's beside the point :D) and that ONE piece broke when I pushed it in and turned it to lock it in place like the instructions told me to do. Luckily, it didn't render the vacuum useless, so I left it (the main piece still holds in place, albeit with a slight bend) and proceeded on with giving the CleanView a tour of our home. In this home we have three dogs, so there was plenty to throw at the Bissell. I did one particular area with our usual vacuum (again, the DC25) and then followed up with the CleanView -- and it picked up a decent amount that the Dyson left behind. I gave it a few more days, cleaned all the filters on the DC25, made sure they were both empties and had no blockages in any of the hoses, etc etc. And yet again, the Bissell picked up a little bit more that the Dyson had left behind when doing the same scenario again. The hidden cord is awesome and the auto-retract even more awesome'er. (sorry about that) Pull that bad boy out, plug it in, fire it up...and you all but forget about how much cheaper is feels than the aforementioned competitor. The included Febreze air filter sure beats throwing a dryer sheet in the cylinder and almost instantly fills the area with a great aroma. And that's about it. It's a vacuum so it sucks - if you want one that doesn't "suck" this is the one for you. Performs awesome and I bet just as well as a modern Dyson that costs 2x as much. Very happy with the product and would certainly recommend it to anyone...especially those with pets.

Really great well rounded Vacuum!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this vacuum has done everything it's designed to. It does better than my 2 year old Dyson, and the cord storage on this is GREAT! I don't know why other more expensive ones aren't doing the same thing! This Bissell doesn't mess around! It's great not only on my carpets, but my hard floors! I'm avoiding the dreaded sweeping of this house, thanks to the suction power of this Vac! With my previous Vacuum, I always had to go back and sweep around edges of walls. This one grabs pretty much everything, aside from where it can't fit under my furniture. It's easy to assemble, and was ready to use in less than 10 minutes.

A must for owners of large dogs.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a German Shepherd, a Labrador, and two cats. Between fur, sand, and dirty paws, keeping the house clean is almost a full fledged war. Previously using a small dyson with a burning out motor, I’ve tried a robot vacuum and handhelds which work great for sofas, but neither compare to this. This really does a good job of pulling pet hair out of rugs and carpeting. I’d forgotten how bright the colors are on my floor rug... but after a few passes, I filled the tank twice and restored the vibrant rug to its former glory.
