Customers are delighted by the CrossWave All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner's excellent cleaning performance and ease of use, finding it lightweight and effective on various floor types. However, some customers expressed concerns about the cord length and price point, while others suggested improvements to the water tank design. The cleaner's ability to handle multiple surfaces is a significant plus for many users.

Saves time with multi purpose function. Extension cord needs to be in a different location on vacuum as it is too easy to trip over it, or continue to run over it as you clean

This is a quick and effective way to keep up with your floors. However, I do recommend that you still vacuum and sweep ahead of time. The built in vacuum is not meant for a large area.

I have used this product to clean tile, linoleum and some small areas of carpet, and it has definitely met my expectations. Lets start from the beginning: Whats in the box: The cleaner (obviously), 3 brushrolls (2 multipurpose for all floor types including carpet, and a wood floor brush), multi purpose cleaner, hardwood cleaner, and a nifty tray that the device sits on while its drying so your floor doesn't get wet. Build quality: Pretty good. The cleaner feels well built while using it, and the tanks and brush is very easy to remove to clean. Has separate tanks for cleaning solution, and dirty water. Also, to clean the brush it is very easy to remove, no tools needed. Use: The cleaner has 2 modes, hard surface and carpet. The only difference between the two that I can tell is the amount of cleaning liquid that it dispenses while cleaning. I don't have hardwood, so I can't comment on the cleaning power of that. The way this device works is a hybrid of carpet cleaner and vacuum. Unlike a traditional carpet cleaner though, this cleaner sprays cleaning solution on the top of the brush, not directly on the floor. This way, the floor does not get unnecessarily wet, allowing it to dry much faster. You simply turn on the cleaner by pressing the hard floor or carpet button on the handle, and squeeze the trigger to get fluid moving. You then simply "vacuum" the floor while holding the trigger down. If you want, you can let go of the trigger and give the floor another pass to aid in drying time. Thats about it, very simple to use. Cleaning after use: With a cleaner like this, expect things to get gross and dirty in a hurry. I cleaned my tile floors that appeared to be clean, and when I emptied dirty water tank, it was pretty much black. Plan to clean this after every use, otherwise it will get incredibly dirty very quickly. I used the sink with a spray head in my laundry room, and it took me just a couple minutes to disassemble and clean. Easy, but dirty (have you cleaned a carpet cleaner before? This is like that) So, how did it clean? quite well! My floor felt freshly mopped, but they were dry almost instantly, and I did have the mess of water on my baseboards that mopping can give you. I also didn't have to lug around a bucket and wet mop either. I have used this to get out some pet stains (IE cat hairball) off of a rug, and this worked wonderfully, though do not expect to use this to shampoo an entire carpet, it just isn't built for it. Overall: Works very well, and is easy to use. It is a pain to clean though, but any carpet shampooer out there is a pain to clean as well.

Overall, the Bissell Crosswave is a decent product- very easy assembly, simple design, and for the most part it does its job well. I used this upright on my kitchen floor (porcelain), living room hardwood floor, and on a large area rug. The instructions are easy to follow, and it's nice to have the simple, quick tutorials stickered right on the machine. I didn't like the heavy extension cord which constantly got tangled and in the way of performing the job, though it was effectively long enough to not worry about replugging during use. One thing that seemed to be an issue was the position of the buttons seemed to cause accidental presses which would turn the vacuum off, something I found to be inconvenient. I did like the light at the front of the vacuum which I found helpful in darker areas of the house. The turning angles were passable, though I do have another vacuum that drops much lower and turns at a much more pronounced angle than this, so it is somewhat disappointing on that front. Also of note is that this machine does not come with any accessories or hose extensions- it is simply a vacuum/floor cleaner. The results of the vacuum looked great. The kitchen and hardwood were noticeably clean and after using it three times over a period of three weeks in these specific areas, I'm happy with the result. The area rug also turned out surprisingly well for a multisurface machine. The vacuum comes with a couple of different cleaning solutions for different surfaces, and they do not look too expensive to worry about repurchases. However, I think a good homemade soap/water solution will do the job fine. The vacuum side of the machine was passable. It needs a few rollovers to get to some floor dirt, and it needs more than a few for the carpet. I wouldn't recommend this for its vacuum functions, but it's nice to be able to suck up the grime and dirt after breaking it down with the cleaning solutions, which I'm sure is its primary function. The vacuum comes with a plastic stand that looks useless, but it serves an interesting purpose during cleaning of the machine. Cleanup is very easy, but there are instructions provided to guide you through the process. Overall, the size and handle of the vacuum is comparable to most market vacs, and its lack of extensions or mechanical trivialities makes it very simple to use. The floor washing aspect is the prize of the machine, while the vacuum portion is more of an afterthought. Full disclosure, I received this product to provide a fair, unbiased review with my honest opinion.

This barely cleans and takes a lot longer and more effort than doing the floor manually. I always had to stop to clean the hair from the machine (I have a dog), even if I vacuumed before hand. I threw it in the garbage after about two months. I am now waiting for delivery on a Hoover rug cleaner, which in the past worked well with my tile and bamboo floors.

It does have good suction but it has a funky/burn smell to it after 2 uses. It sometimes suds in the corners when "mopping" with it. Very annoying when cleaning it out due to the tall round plastic in the middle of container.

AS of using it twice, it's "A" Okay, but think you'd want a review after a year or two of use.
