Great hard Floor Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only used the floor cleaner a couple of times so far, but it has worked great and left our floors clean and smelling great. It is very easy to use and works great my only complaint is that depending on the color of your floor it can be difficult to tell how wet it is leaving the floor. It was Hard to gauge how much i was spraying onto the ground without stopping and felling how wet it was. besides that I have not had any issues. I have 3 little kids that constantly get the floor dirty and we were able to pick up all the gunk and garbage on the ground and leave the floor looking great and also smelling great.

Better on tile/hard wood than rugs/carpet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This All-in-One surface cleaner would come in pretty handy if you have a large (or small) area of hard surfaces that you want to clean, but don't want to drag around the mop and bucket. I found it did a nice job of picking up debris on my tile floor and even on the wood floor. It cleaned like a mop would without quite the amount of liquid left on the surface. This prevented streaking or those nasty water marks left behind. I didn't care for this product to use on rugs. I found that my regular portable vacuum did a better job, particularly when it came to suction. It took several runs to get some of the debris. Also, I couldn't tell that the cleaning solution did anything for the carpet other than make it slightly damp and smell a little better, but who is sniffing their carpet anyway!? One last thing, it is pretty hard to push on an area rug--a lot harder than my other vacuums. The water/cleaner reservoir was sufficient for most small/medium sized jobs. You could probably get 2-3 (maybe 4) rooms out of it depending on how heavy you used the solution. I did like that this product allowed you to control the amount of cleaning solution rather than have a continuous flow. The dirty water reservoir was more than sufficient in size. Cleaning wasn't pleasant but I guess it never is. In summary, I think this is a good product if you want to get rid of the old mop and bucket, but want something more than a Swifter with a battery and sponge. Pros: -Versatile -Suction -User controlled amount of cleaning solution Cons: -Price compared to some other products on the market. -Heavier than expected -Swivel steering becomes pretty useless on hardwood once the floor is wet. -Sometimes debris will build up on the cleaning brush and get left behind in a glob. It usually picked it back up if you made another pass at it. -Hard to push on area rugs.

nice combo appliance!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant when I first received this thing, since the idea of using one machine for both hard floors and carpets was a strange concept to me.But, after the initial use, I see that it actually does do the things it claims to do, although not as thoroughly as a machine made specifically for each task. It did a nice job on the tile/wood floors, but on dirty carpets it was just ok; I didnt think it would great the deep ground in dirt out, but it did vacuum up the loose dirt nicely, and all in all, its a nice machine, as long as you dont expect it to get up "hard core" ground in dirt!

Fantastic Floor Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised by how well this cleaned our vinyl flooring. The vacuum sucked up dust from several inches away, and the cleaning solution seemed to do a good job of cleaning up water spots. My wife and I used it to clean up before we had a small group meeting at our house, and it was one of the quickest floor cleanings we've had since we've moved into the house. The one negative there is about it is that the cord is not quite as long as I was expecting. That's a personal preference, though, because it was still usable, and there is less cord to wind up at the end of a cleaning session.

Finally! Mop and vacuum in one
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a cat and two dogs, and the the absolute darkest shade of wood floors offered. They show every paw print, slobber mark, and furry tumbleweed that lands on them. We also have a twice monthly housekeeper and a robot vac. We thought the robot would do the job in between cleanings, but w stop have to mop after it runs through and there are inevitably furballs pushed into corners that make it a mess. Enter Crosswave. Wow. I figured it would be okay, like a motorized wet jet. Nope, this thing has terrific suction! I was not expecting that at all. It sucked up fur, food, dust, and litter all the way to the base boards,AND left the floor clean at the same time. My wife and I both saw the results and said, " That's the dream!" Set up is simple, just follow the quick guide. Cleaning is much easier than I thought due to the removable cover on the head of the unit. The front racks are handy and necessary. The only flaw I see is in the design of the handle. I accidentally hit the switch a few times and turned the unit off. Easy enough to hit again and turn on, but that could be moved down the handle just a bit to prevent it.

A great little floor washer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had carpet shampooers in the past, but this is far superior to anything that I've used before. I pulled it out of the box, and was ready to clean the floors within a few minutes. There are only a few pieces to put together, and they do so very intuitively. Compared to most carpet cleaners, this is a very small appliance, making it good for smaller apartments (as I live in). Living in a small apartment, I've never wanted to have a mop to store for only occasional use. This little device, however, isn't a problem as it has multiple purposes. It also cleans tile floor much better than trying to scrub it with Lysol wipes or other such products. For the carpets, it cleans very well. I've used it on my entry-way, and it has removed some stubborn spots that I haven't been able to get out. Additionally, the amount of cleaning solution it uses is less than other carpet cleaners I've used, so the carpets dry faster (this is still highly dependent on how much cleaning solution you use). All in all, this is a great cleaning device for someone living in a smaller space. When you fill the cleaning solution container fully, you'll get about 600 square feet of cleaning, depending on how deep you want to clean. If you want to clean more than this, you'll need to leave yourself a path to a sink to clean it out and refill. However, if you just do a room at a time, or finish on your way out the door, everything should be clean/dry when you get home at the end of the day.

Light and Effective Multi-surface Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bissell Crosswave #17859 Our family lives in a large house with multiple surface areas including wood, tile, laminate and carpet/rugs. We own about 4-5 vacuum cleaners primarily targeting the different floor types including a Neato that cleans unattended. Since our baby arrived it has become a challenge to spend all the time switching vacuums trying to clean the different floor types. An all-in-one is something we needed. Packaging - The vacuum comes in a surprisingly compact package and is light enough. The packaging lists the various items included inside along with the cleaner. This includes a multi-surface brush, 8 oz multi-surface cleaner, 8 oz wood floor cleaner, wood floor brush and a parking tray. Cleaning - It vacuums and washes floors at the same time and has a button to switch between cleaning the hard floor area and any soft area rugs. The cable is long enough as well and does not need to be switched from wall to wall. There are two tanks that keep the cleaning solution and the dirty water separate and easy to clean. The brush roll is rated at 3500 rpm and it mops and picks up debris at the same time. We were surprised how dry it left the area even with the liquid cleaning and it does not leave any streaks. We do use essential oils in the house and add it to our water while cleaning. We do not have pets but looks like it would be very effective with pet hair as well. We are very impressed and pleased with this Multi-surface Vacuum cleaner.

Mop plus vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This combines a mopping roller and vacuum in one step. Because it vacuums at the same time it mops and scrubs, hardwood floors end up slightly moist but not wet, so they dry up within minutes. The machine uses two removable containers: One for clean water + formula and other for dirty water, and a roller. All of these are very easy to remove and wash. Most of the pieces that come in contact with the floor and liquids are very simple to wash. The roller can be removed and washed or can be left on the unit, which comes with a pedestal than can hold some water so the roller can remain moist. While we vacuum the hardwood floors and small area rags regularly, the first time we used the CrossWave, it picked so much dirt the the water was solid brown, so this works a lot better than vacuuming alone. Area rugs take a bit more effort and this does a great job. The main difference is that it needs to use twice the amount of water on a rug than on hardwood. It comes with multi-surface and hardwood rollers. The main difference is that the multi-surface has soft bristles in addition to the cloth and the hardwood roller has a cloth surface (no bristles). The manual recommends a mixture of mostly water and a small amount of a cleaning formula, also sold by Bissell for the CRossWave models. The formulas are for either hardwood or multi-surface. Cleaning the machine is straightforward: Wash the dirty water container and occasionally wash the roller and cover. The pedestal holds two additional rollers that can be left drying. Overall, it's very simple to use, it's quick and simple to clean.

Excellent new hybrid-hard floor vacuum!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bissell has done it again. At first, I was skeptical on how well this vacuum would truly get down to the nitty-gritty and deep clean hardwood floors, chicago brick, & tile (all found in my house). Let me tell you first-hand that after vacuuming all areas with my Dyson DC65 Animal + Allergy thoroughly;that the Bissell Crosswave (while using the appropriately included 3 different brush bars) picked up so much dirty water! (Great thing) I even re-tested it's raw deep-cleaning abilities the day after my maid came to clean. It still finds a way to clean all my hard floors so well. I've used all 3 included brush bars for each of their respective applications and all 3 have produced fantastic results. The floors feel so much cleaner now even after using a Dyson + Bona. Highly recommend the Bissell Crosswave to anyone with hard floors.

Effective Time Saver
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the Bissell Cross Wave is a great machine. It is easy to assemble and use. It does a good job with mildly soiled hard surfaces and carpets. It is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. It leaves hard surfaces much drier than conventional mopping. It is fairly easy to clean the machine after each use. I love not having to vacuum prior to mopping. It does have a powerful suction. It truly is a timesaver to be able to go from surface to surface without changing a thing and to combine vacuuming and mopping all in one action. There a few disappointments. It does not "scrub" well so any heavily soiled or sticky areas on hard surfaces need to either be done by hand or pre-treated. It doesn't reach under the cabinets or dishwasher well and I needed to do those areas by hand. It is also a bit loud. Overall, it did a good job and certainly is a time saver.

Impressive time saver!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those with hardwood floors and pets, this is an absolute time saver! I have two dogs and a cat so there's a lot of fur everywhere and a lot of mud during the wetter seasons. I used to have to sweep, then mop, then sweep again to get up the residual fur. It took a long time and I had to do it frequently. With this though it's all done in a fraction of the time. It picks up the fur, quite well I might add, and polishes my hardwood floors all at once. My only complaint is I wish it had more sucking power to pick up the liquid it uses to wash the floors. You can hold a button to squirt floor cleaner when cleaning hardwood or tile and while it does a fine job of sucking the water back up, it could be better. It just takes an extra couple minutes to dry. No big deal. Still love it!

Worth it at twice the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been looking for a good solution to clean our hardwood floors since moving into a new house, and this is it. Probably the best aspect of this is how quickly the floors dry after going over them with the CrossWave. Used just like the directions say, with one vacuuming pass after the mopping pass, the floor is completely dry by the time you're two strips over. You can clearly see the dirt coming up with the cleaning solution as you're going, and there's absolutely no residue left behind. We've used it on both hardwood and tile floors with equally good results on both.

Great product but with a few minor gripes
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product which I could really use due to my purchase of a new house with hard wood floors. First and foremost, the largest benefit of this product is that if vacuums and washes multiple surfaces from hard wood floors to rugs. I had a problem with the product I received; it comes with two samples of hard wood floor solution and multi surface solution. My multi surface solution was empty and it looks like it spilled on the documentation so I had to figure a few things out in assembly since most of the documentation was unreadable. After figuring out the product, it was pretty straight forward assembly. The product looks very nice and modern. The tank has different fill levels for small floors or large floors. You have to remember to prime the solution each use. My main gripe is that the unit has a small cleaning head so it takes a while to go over the floor but this is not a huge deal, I would have added some width to the vacuum though. It comes with two multi surface heads and a hard wood floor head as well. I guess this is explained in the documentation but I did not know this due to my previous issue. I would recommend buying a bottle or two of solution with this product since the samples that come with it will not last long, especially if you have a large floor, maybe one or two uses. Overall, a great purchased that I would definitely buy, my issues with the product are minor and it actually solves a problem (less vacuums for each surface).

Does decent job. Doesn't replace a broom and mop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cross wave does a decent job of cleaning up debris and mopping the floor in one motion. It works better than expected on carpet. The cross wave takes some patience to use as its not very quick at vacuuming and scrubbing. But it DOES work. Main down side is the cleaning and drying of parts. Probably won't replace a simple broom and swiffer. It is a great option for a good deep clean though.

Crosswave better than Symphony Steam Cleaner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new Bissell Crosswave! With 1200 sq. feet of hard wood floors using the multi-floor solution and muliti-floor roller has been a real game changer and created a lasting shine after first use! I look forward to the possibility of an increased shine and clean after multiple uses! Love that I can vacuum & mop at the same time (a real time saver) and I can roll it from hardwood floor to kitchen laminate surface without stopping. Refilling the clean water solution and dumping and rinsing the dirty water solution had to be done multiple times... perhaps 6 for my 1200 sq feet... but totally worth it! The rinsing of parts at end of session was also easy. Yeah, the whole apartment plus cleanup took several hours but worth the effort. I bought, tried and returned the Bissel Symphony Steam Mop before getting the Crosswave and so glad I did. The Crosswave is very much the Next Gen technology for cleaning. The most significant shortcoming of the mop is that it doesn't clean that half inch or more from the bass board, oven edge, refrigerator edge, etc.!!! It's a HUGE disappointment. Lesser issues related to having to change the clean & dirty water chambers so often and the lack of scrubbing ability for the multi-surface roller on a dirty surface like my pebbled laminate kitchen floor.

Decent little floor cleaner!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, we have all laminate wood flooring in my apartment, so I can't really attest to how well it does for carpeting. I did try it on a thin carpet runner, and it did well. I've used it for vacuuming the laminate, and it sucked up everything in one fell swoop!

Cleaning the home was never so easy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using the Bissell CrossWave, my wife was very impressed with how well it worked and the capabilities it offered. In the past she would need to vacuum or sweep before mopping. When mopping, it would be messy and take a long time for the floors to dry. The Bissell makes it all much easier. She loved the ability to have one machine that vacuums at the same time it mops and she found very easy to use. It dispenses just enough liquid to clean the floors while allowing for very quick drying. The machine is quieter than a vacuum and very lightweight. Clean up is easy. It is nice that it came with cleaning solution and extra rollers. The only concern would be that it cannot maneuver into small areas like behind toilets. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and look forward to using it many more times. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.
