I’m not as impressed as I thought I’d be! We have two dogs and three cats. I bought this thinking that it would make cleaning our small home a breeze. I also have a shark mop, vacuum, broom and swiffer wet jet. I think the shark mop/vacuum combo can do the same as this product. It is also a pain to clean after ever use as well. Continuous push on the underside handle button is required, as an FYI. It left dirt marks my first time using it on an area rug (not overfilled). So if you have arthritis or pain, might want to look elsewhere. Cost is insane and I don’t really see the perks when I only want to use this once a month (maybe), because it’s such a haste.

Stopped working after 5th use of machine

Used 4 times, on 5th try the vacuum shuts off after 3 seconds. Frustrating after spending over 350$ for this machine. Will never buy from this brand again. Do not buy. The problem was a little motor gear if it gets stuck with hair in it, it renders the whole vacuum useless which at this price point, and for what it markets itself as, with pet hair, shouldn’t be a problem this early on. Don’t bother.

1 star for false advertisement. The pictures and written specifications state that this vacuum comes with 2 brush rolls and the images of the cleaner liquid shows as full size but in actuality the bottles are small 8 ounces. When I called to get help to see what could be done, they acknowledged the false advertisement and all they could do was apologize. So thanks for nothing.

A mop, vacuum, and carpet cleaner all in one

I have three indoor cats, so I'm constantly looking for the 'next best' tool to help me clean up after them since my house has carpet, tile, hardwood, marble, and area rugs. This Bissell multi-surface cleaner is great; it's basically a vacuum, mop, and carpet cleaner all in one. The product is fairly light weight and maneuverable so it's easy to use. Assembly is quick, and after checking the manual (or watching a few videos), you should be cleaning in no time.
The machine really does a great job of cleaning every floor in my house. The hardwood, tile and marble look freshly mopped after each use, and the carpets are hair free. Occasionally one of the cats will eat too fast and throw up, most of the time on carpet. Before getting this product, the process was to remove the majority of the vomit with a paper towel, then spray the area with a spot cleaner, scrub it with a cloth or sponge, and then vacuum the area. Now, I just clean up the majority with a paper towel and whip out this product; it's a huge time saver. The only issue I have is that it doesn't clean near the edge of walls very well, but that's not a very big con. Cleaning the machine is fairly simple as well, and I really like that it has it's own storage tray so it's not just sitting on the floor.
Overall I really like this product. It's light weight, cleans like crazy and saves a ton of time. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you have pets.

DOES NOT CLEAN

Barely cleans, hard to clean the tank once you do use it, doesn’t work on carpet no matter how thin it is, hardfloors only and even then it barely works. Waste of money.

Vacuum and Mop With One Machine

All the components of this machine came well-packed in one box that has hand holds on either side of the box; that is important to me just to get it in the house. It literally took minutes to set up this Pet Crosswave, with a quick start guide and full owner manual included.
I already have a Bissell Pet Vacuum cleaner and I do love the Tangle-free brush roll. On other machines I usually have to get out a scissor and cut the hair off the roller. So, the dog hair gets sucked up from the Tangle-free brush roll and it is not the nicest thing to have the pet hair with the dirty water in the canister.
There are 2 small containers of floor cleaner included that have a flower fragrance. I was told by Bissell that this machine is not meant to clean carpet, but rather area rugs because it is not a deep cleaner. I did use this on several area rugs, though, and found that it did a good job cleaning and deodorizing.
However, when you are done and it is time to clean up the dirty water bottle be prepared to see all sorts of hair and other yucky solids that the machine picked up. I used toilet paper to retrieve and clean out those solids before dumping the dirty water in the toilet. Clearly, I only want to put water into my sewer system without bulk solids so it is important to clean out canister as best as possible. Then you need to either dry these pieces or let them air dry.
Pros-does a good job, easy to use, set up for a while with cleaning fluid and other components. Cons-no accessories for upholstery, etc. and ultimate clean up of dirty water bottle.

Ditch the mop

The Bissell Crosswave is perfect for those who don’t like to mop (me). I love that the Crosswave vacuums and mops at the same time, doing two jobs at once. Also, it cleans the floor and sucks up the dirty water instead of moving it around like a mop. I have only used it on tile so far but they are noticeably cleaner after use. It doesn’t do a deep cleaning but it is as good as a mop and perfect for maintaining your floors. Beyond tile, it works with hard wood floors, laminate, and even area rugs!
Clean up is a little involved; you run the Crosswave on its storage tray with water for a few seconds to clean the roller and intake, then you remove the waste tank, remove hair strainer, empty waste tank, rinse everything off and let air dry. Despite the steps involved, it is fairly easy and doesn’t take more then 5 minutes. I wish the waste tank was slightly larger, but I imagine that would of added unwanted bulk to the lightweight design. I am really pleased with the Crosswave and recommend it to those not just with pets but anyone who is looking for a better way to clean their floors!

Crazy - they get vacuumed all the time, but this is a whole different level of clean.
We have a cat and a dog and I just used this to clean a 10x10 area rug and it picked up so much dirt and cat hair I was frankly shocked. Just seeing the dirty water container from the one rug makes me want to clean all our rugs now.
Super easy to use with well thought out buttons, it's lightweight, but packs a ton of suction. I also really like the cleaning tray that you put it in after you are done - just add a little water and turn it back on and it automatically cleans the brush head (think paint roller).

Overall I'm Happy with this Cleaner

I have 2 dogs in the house, and sometimes they get into certain things or eat too much and end up throwing up around the house. I had a portable Bissell Pet Cleaner that worked fairly well but the act of getting down on my hands and knees was not ideal. Enter in the new Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro, and I believe I've found my ideal pet cleaning product. The Crosswave does a great job of cleaning, the brush is firm and is able to get into the carpet in a way that my old Bissell could not. The only thing I don't really like about the Cleaner is it doesn't do the best job of really sucking up all the moisture out of the carpet. I understand a little dampness left afterwards, but to me it leaves a lot and you can't really tell if its got it all or not. Cleanup is fairly simple and everything can be rinsed and laid out to dry for 24 hours. Adding the amount of liquid is fairly straightforward as theres a line for water and then the line to add the Soap so you cant get the mixture wrong! Theres 2 separate containers one for the soap and one for the residual thats sucked up through the vacuum. Theres a setting for carpet and wood floors. I've used this on stains around the house that proved to be tough in the past or areas with a lot of dirt and the Bissell does a great job of cleaning overall. The only thing I would change would be to add a button to do a boost of suction to make sure all the water is sucked out of the carpet. Other than that its a great unit and I recommend it!

Love the 2 in 1 convenience

I love the the 2 in 1 convenience of this machine. Its does a good job mopping the floors. There have been a couple of small things that had to be wipe by hand. Which was a tiny piece of something sticky. I use it once a day to wash my floors. Multiple times a day to vacuum up crumbs etc. And as needed if one of my kiddos spill something. The vacuum has great suction. The size of the fill tank is a great size for the rooms I clean. Its super easy to disassemble for cleaning and wiping down after use. The floor caddy is also another great feature! It has 2 knobs to stand mop heads upright (2 mop heads were included). It gives you the ability to wash right after use and having another available immediately. The caddy enables you to keep everything tidy and in one area. I have only tried this dry/wet vac so I have no comparisons personally. I think the price was rather high compared to other dry/wet vacuums. But after talking with other moms who seem to be satisfied with other products that were budget friendly. It sounds like many of them didn't come with any additional accessories like this product. So Bottom line I'm overall happy with my purchase.

I've used this unit three times so far to clean the tile in our new house. I believe it does a decent job and it's reasonably easy to use. Our house has about 1600 sq/ft of tile and it takes me about 3 refills of the fresh water tank to complete the job. Others have complained about streaks but I don't seem to have that problem. It could be the texture of the tile or it just doesn't show on ours. I also don't find the unit clean up procedure to be a problem either. It only takes a few minutes. I did try the cordless model first but only got through about 1/3 of the house on one battery charge so that didn't work for me. Also, the cordless model has a built in battery (not like a other battery operated equipment where you can buy backup batteries.

Vacuum and Mop in one

The CrossWave Pet Pro is one of those devices I wish I had this past winter. With the combination of snow, mud and a dog I constantly had little prints of mud in the house. My main floor is laminate wood so it usually required a quick sweep before breaking out the mop and bucket. Now I can just put some warm water and a little bit of the Bissle Multisurface Pet floor cleaning solution, in what looks like a sports bottle, and do all the cleaning in one.
The Crosswave is super simple to put together when it comes out of the package. It comes with a spare brush and two sample bottles of cleaner that will get your through about 4 large area cleanings. The directions may feel a bit overwhelming when you notice all the details for cleaning, but it’s not much more than another other liquid based cleaning system. The main key to realize is that you never want to let anything wet and dirty sit around for long. The tray that it came with makes for an easy rinse of the brush and prevents the little drips of water that will eventually come down as it sits for a bit from settling on your floor.
The packaging shows the multi-surface as sealed wood, area rugs, tile and laminate. Rugs are meant as area rugs and not carpet. However, I have used it to clean some low pile carpet without issue. It’s just a little hard to push if the carpet is any thicker and it’s not designed to be a carpet cleaner. My basement is mostly standard tile and was a bit painful as it caught several of the tile edges. You just have to take it easy in hopes not to break something.
This has essentially replaced my mop and broom and made cleaning a lot easier. I prefer a wet cleaning system as it helps pick up dirt and dust instead of stirring it up like a dry vacuum or broom. The more it is used, the cleaner the waste water is beginning to look, telling me that my house is starting to stay a whole lot cleaner.

This is such a time saving vacuum and mopping machine. Lightweight and easy clean up. I had one a few years back and I accidentally broke the roller cover insert tabs when I was removing it. Couldn't get a replacement and went back to the old method of vacuuming and then manual mopping. I decided I had to try the Crosswave again, so happy I did, I love it. It can handle quick spot cleaning and usual maintenance. Great machine.
