Great and simple cleaning!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first foray into vacuum + cleaners, and let me tell you, I was impressed. Its very lightweight so its easy to work with, the cord was super long, which surprised me so I didn't have to change plugs a lot of times. I tried using it first on hard floor and it cleaned and sucked water fast, it only left the surface a little damp, like after you are done moping. Then I tried it on my carpet and it worked great and left a nice fresh odor. My cat doesn't make a mess so I couldn't try how it would work in an area after a pet has urinated or worst, but in areas where there was a lot of hairs, it worked great and didn't get entangled. Where I did have trouble was on an area carpet I have on my living room (a square thicker carpet on top of regular carpet), didn't work good because the carpet soaked too much, I guess its just for regular carpet, so be careful. Other than that, it was great and it comes with 2 bottles of pet formula and 2 brushes, so there should be plenty for a while. I looked around and replacements are easily available. I would highly recommend it to anyone with pets and even though, if they don't, it would still clean nicely your carpet and hard floors!!

Great floor cleaner for pets.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would like to start out by saying if you don't have pets this would be overkill. That being said if you have animals this one is a must. I love how it has the ability to vacuum and shampoo at the same time. It is very well built and can clean hair and stains out of any surface. In my testing it worked well on carpet and tile. It can remove both stains and hair like nothing else. The build quality is great and it doesn't feel like it is cheaply built. One of its best qualities is the size. Most of the time comparable cleaners are a lot bigger in side. This one is very compact and no bigger than the size of a regular vacuum, possibly even smaller than most.

Good Wet Vacuum, Tad Expensive

Although it has the "Pet" word added to it, you do not need to have a pet to see how well it cleans the floor. It did an amazing job of cleaning my tiled kitchen floor. I now use it twice a week on the kitchen floor. Also, it does a good job on the wood floor, although i get a cleaning lady clean my house once a month, i do use this once a while on my wood floors Detailed Review ---------------- Pros ---- 1. Easy Assembly, almost usable right out of the box, just snap in the right pieces 2. Good maeuverability - this is important specifially when you have to clean the edges. 3. I think this does a good job vacumming and mopping at the same time. Thats why i had said that this works great on my kitchen floor (My wife's a messy cook, hopefully she does not read the review) 4. Good Suction - it can suck out the dust and water very well. So , no mop and pail stuff, this will do the job. 5. The water canister holds good amount of water to be able to mop about 1200 sqft with ease 6. Easy clean - its got a clean mode and it cleans the brushes. 7. Nice LED - its important to have light to know which spots require more cleaning Cons ---- 1. Propeitory rollers, not sure how long will they last. they will cost you about 15 bucks to replace. it looks like each ay last about 6 months (you have 2 of them) 2. its a tad expensive, at 300$, i think you should look for some deals 3. short cord - i would love to have a cord like some of the steam mops. 4. it comes with a small bottle of cleaner and if you are using it with water than just plan water, it might turn out to be costly. I substitute it with Bona

It Came, I tested, and it just couldn't hold up.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I have to say we are a larger family, mom, dad, 4 daughters and multiple pets. I deal with long hair all the time and real short from my one dog. When I first started using the Bissel Crosswave, it was working amazing, I went through 3 rooms and was pleasantly surprised. Here is what started to get me, no matter what, the brush would not let go of the long female hair, I could not get it clean enough and the performance suffered severely because of it. The first roller was basically(figured out a solution) trash within 3 hours, even after cleaning it many times. I switched to the backup roller, and was back to cleaning, for another 2 to 3 hours of use, same result. The vacuum does work well, and the carpeted floors felt cleaner and the hardwood floors looked new again. Assembly is easy, prepping to clean is super easy and I love the storage tray. Then, I finally find a way to clean the rollers after a few times using it, I had to break out the pressure washer after soaking it in resolve carpet cleaner. The pressure washer helped get the stuck in hair out. It makes me kinda love this vacuum again, now that I can actually get the rollers clean. Does it work? YES! it works fantastic, cleans very well. Why did you give it 4 stars? No vacuum in the world seems to work good with long human hair, so in my eyes, not vacuum or carpet cleaner will get 5 stars until I can clean my house and just empty a bag or container. I spent the last 3 weeks using this cleaner 4 times a week, and it was always the same result. I over tested it, I usually only used my last carpet cleaner every Sunday, but I wanted to push it. I will keep using it for now, hopefully Bissel comes out with a better replacement roller for this unit. Decent Job Bissel, just fix the rollers!

Easy to use but cleanup is time consuming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good at being both a vacuum and shampooing device. Does very good being a vacuum on dry seal wood floors, tiles and dense packed carpets but more difficult to vacuum thick soft carpets. I like it on wood floors and all type of tiles but cleanup of the brush roller and machine is a bit time consuming. With frequent use, cleanup of the device becomes quicker but still takes time. I feel a swiffer or swifter wet mop quicker to use and less time on cleaning the apparatus itself. It is mostly a plastic device but feels sturdy and being a multi purpose device, not overtly heavy. Easy to transport, very good cord length and on bare surfaces glides smoothly. Fluid spray is not excessive on tiles or wood floors and suction is excellent. The floor is dry depending on the solutions you use in under 5-6 minutes. No visible streaks on floors. On carpets that are not too thick and where the fibers are tightly packed, works well but can be difficult to glide once you apply the liquid solution. Drying is decent on this type of carpet, drys to feet in about 10-15 minutes. Mop and bucket can be back breaking and this is not...it is a must have for this reason. The true negative, not great on thick soft carpet fibers and unit cleaning is a bit tedious but you do get both a versatile vacuum device and shampoo device for all floors and densely packed carpets fibers. Setup is a breeze, less than 5 minutes, I used lukewarm to hot water as no built in water heater (not an issue). The filled solution on the device did my whole hall, various runners, kitchen rugs and the kitchen floor, and my living room floor with one container. I used both the included solution as well as other solutions from Mr. Clean to Murphy oil and so far the jets spray with no loss of spraying ability.

Great option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a true steam cleaner this isn’t the product you want but if you want a good mess cleaner (fresh spills on carpet or pet accidents for example) that works on multiple surfaces this is a great option. Light and easy to maneuver. Easy to clean. The two brushes are great so you can swap them out and keep cleaning. If you’re cleaning a lot of rooms you will need to stop to dump dirty water and replenish cleaner but it’s not too big of a hassle.

The Swiss Army knife of floor cleaning
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleaning the floors… Vacuuming the carpet… Tedious, but necessary jobs that (hopefully) every household endures. Add a pet, and it just evolves into a full out job in some cases. Enter the Crosswave Pet Pro from Bissell. A vacuum meets floor cleaner dynamo designed to serve as a true ‘floor cleaner’ of sorts. The Crosswave comes in a nice, tight box, packed to perfection. While unboxing, the first thing you will notice is that the looks don’t do it justice from a quality standpoint. It looks like one of those inexpensive handhelds, but it’s actually very well built and sturdy. It requires a small amount of assembly, but I was able to snap the parts together without the instructions. There is an additional brush, as well as a tray designed to store the vacuum/cleaner when not in use. When I first saw this tray, my mind immediately went to the thought of convenience (more later), and this definitely has to be part of the intent, along with protecting the floor where storing. The Crosswave Pet Pro is relatively light, and it needs to be. The fact that it carries water adds considerable weight. Everything we use today is going to smaller and lighter. While this device is considerably small for what it does, you will feel the difference water makes from a mobility standpoint. The vacuum runs at a decent noise level. It’s not quite as loud as my carpet cleaner or one of my other vacuums, but it’s not the quietest I’ve used either. How does it perform? Well, for a swiss army knife of floor cleaning, the Crosswave does an admirable job. It can handle just about any surface type – I wouldn’t dare use this on a shaggy carpet. It’s not quite as robust on carpets as a carpet cleaner, but it’s pretty good. The fact that it is targeted for standard, day-to-day use is what is notable. You can basically start vacuuming the room (any floor type), notice a spot or grimy area, pull the trigger for wet action, and continue your routine without missing a beat. The concept is tremendous, and the execution isn’t half bad either. I guess Bissel is trying to make it easier to get a better clean. Which leads me to my next point: I’d love to use this thing for regular floor tidying – once or twice a week. My problem with doing that is the device cleaning. Because of the wet-dry aspect of the Crosswave, you have to clean it as you would any carpet cleaner. That becomes a bit tedious over time, and actually, can become a turn off for consistent use – sort of like most of our carpet cleaners are. It’s not a terrible chore, but in comparison to the cordless options of today with their bagless dust cups… I think you get the picture. Where I think this device may shine is in cleaning hard surfaces. Instead of pulling out the broom and mop, or the spray sweeper, the Crosswave Pet Pro can easily handle that job in one step, leaving your floor dry in the process. That is definitely worth the look. Overall, this is a good product that is waiting to be great. Sometimes the utility knife solution can either be too much, or prevent a device from being better than average at any of it’s uses. This little baby is effective. It is a great design that, for the most part, gets the job done.

A must with our 2 New puppies
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently lost our 2 Corgis of 14 years, and got 2 new puppies. Well as most of you know most puppies dont come house trained. So with our new full blood corgi, and half chihuahua half corgi this was the case. Our house was starting to stink due to this, so we needed something for all the floors and this fits the bill. They cant seem to decide on the carpet or the kitchen to make their messes while they are trained, so having one that can clean both is a must. And despite it saying its for area rugs it works great on carpet as well. In the box you get the multi surface cleaner, cleaning solution with febreze, 2 brushes, a rinse tray, and the manual. The initial set up isnt hard at all. Just assemble the handle, add the amount of warm water based on the area to be cleaned, mix in the cleaning formula, install the water tank and go. When done clean up takes awhile, but isnt very hard. The brushes remove easily so you can rinse out the tray, tank, brushes, etc. and youll be ready next time. And it works great. I really like that you do not need to vacuum first, you can just run the Bissell and it will wash and vacuum the floor. The cleaner is also lightweight, and able to get into corners, etc. The cable is plenty long (25') for most areas. With the added febreze it helps with the odors associated with pets as well. Despite the included cleaner only being 8oz it lasts a long time, and doesnt require a lot. And of course you can always buy more for like $11 or so. Overall this is a must for those of use with pets, especially those currently in “training”. Easy to use, works great, removes odors, and the cleaner lasts a long time. Great way to maintain clean floors as a pet owner.
