Works GREAT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently used my BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro for the 1st time. All I can say is WOW, money well spent. This saved me the step of vacuuming / sweeping the floors first before use. One step and it did a GREAT job on my tile flooring as well as my Berber carpeting. The machine can be easily taken apart for cleaning. The multi-surface cleaning liquid that came with the unit smells great (fabreze scent in the mix). My husband had just vacuumed the floors yesterday and this machine sucked up more dog hair than the vacuum did, AMAZING. This weekend I will most certainly be using this on my hard wood floor in my living room.

One-Pass Cleaning for Floors and Rugs!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have tile and hardwood flooring throughout the house, with throw rugs scattered here and there. And we have two dogs who, in addition to blanketing the house in fur, insist on bringing the yard back inside with them. Cleaning used to mean vacuuming the whole house to get up the fur and loose dirt, then mopping or steam cleaning the floors and spot cleaning the rugs. For us, all that changed with the Crosswave Pet Pro! One pass cleaning! It really is a vacuum and a scrubber in one. We just go over the floor like we're vacuuming. The cleaning solution is dispensed by holding the trigger while you vacuum, and it's sucked back into a separate dirty water container. And it is dirty! We were amazed at how much gunk it got off the tile floors. We also tried it on the rugs; as a dry vacuum it worked well, but it really shined as a rug shampoo, using the wet clean option. Setup was a breeze. It literally took us longer to get it out of the box than it did to get it clicked together to use. The instructions are clear and concise. The minuses are pretty minor. - It's a touch slower than just vacuuming because it doesn't have the storage capacity our vacuum has; you have to empty it more, and of course, refill the cleaner every couple of rooms. We'll probably continue to use a vacuum for the light traffic areas and use the Bissell for the heavier traffic areas. - The cleaning procedure (recommended after each use) is a little involved. We found it easier to just pull out the tanks and roller and rinse them out in the sink. If you have a critter around the house, the Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro really is a must buy. Not only is it an effective cleaner, it is a real time saver. We were very happily surprised at how well it worked.

Good quality for a hardwood and rug cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Taking this product from the box and setting it up was super easy. The directions are simple and the set up and reading takes maybe a total of 10 minutes. I've only used this product on carpets so far and overall, I'm pleased. I wouldn't say this cleaner did anything amazing or made my rugs look brand new but I'd say it did bring them to life a little more. I like the scent of the cleaner this product came with. It's very light and flowery but not in the overwhelming sense. The cleaner is a little hard to maneuver, or at least it was on the rugs I have. Moving it forward and backward required a little bit of effort and could be straining for someone who has back problems or elderly. The noise it makes isn't too loud and it's easy to switch between rug and hardwood flooring. I'd say this isn't a product for cleaning up major messes or extremely dirty rugs. If you're looking for something that does the heavy duty messes, I would suggest an actual carpet cleaner over this 2 in 1 cleaner.

I love it
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to be honest. At first, I didn't know how to use it. This is a wet vacuum, but I thought I could still use it as a dry vacuum. That was a failure. It didn't seem to be able to suck up anything! Then, I actually looked up how to use it. Now I love it. The Crosswave Pet Pro is able to clean far better than a dry vacuum could. It's very easy to assemble. Just make sure the handle clicks into the main body. Fill up the tank with water and cleaning solution which they include (there's lines that show where to fill up to). You prime the vacuum first by holding the trigger for the cleaning solution for 10 seconds. Then, you're ready to go vacuum. You hold the trigger as you go across the floor. Then, you release the trigger and go again to dry. Repeat as much as necessary. It really does clean very well on both carpet and hard surfaces. Cleaning the vacuum is very simple. There's a piece that separates out the gunk from the water so you don't have to put water in your trash can. Then, you can just clean each piece separately. I found that this was better than the cleaning method that they recommended which was filling the tray that the vacuum comes with and running the vacuum on it, but it didn't seem to do much. I love this vacuum. It's versatile. It can even clean spills! My only complaint is that it does seem to leave the area wet even after releasing the trigger, but it's a small price to pay. All in all, a good buy!

Amazing results you can see, great all in one vacu
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Crosswave has good suction when passing over the wet areas without pressing the trigger, it would suck up the left over water and you can see the difference between the second pass over without pressing the trigger. This Crosswave is very easy to assemble/disassemble, parts snap in and out easily. The unit includes some extras, like 2 Shampoos, 1 stand base, (very usefull so it can keep it clean the area), 1 extra roller brush, and 1 Shapoo repository cup, that attached to the base. The quick guide start guide was easy to follow to assemble the Crosswave. The handle and button placement – allows for single hand button pushing to switch from area rug and bare floor. The trigger for water dispense is also nice location that they put at your fingertips. Easy to maneuver with the swivel head it’s a nice feature for cornering and moving around especially if you are using a full tank of water. Wet vacuum is a nice feature to have the ability to vacuum and mop in same appliance. The two in one appliance is handy being able to vacuum and mop in one pass makes things easier. Changing the filter and roller is an easy procedure since the locations are easy to get to. With this appliance you are able to quickly clean up wet spills on the floors with ease. Just pass over with the Crosswave and it can be cleaned in minutes. I am very pleased with the performance of the Crosswave vacuum/mop.

Superior quality!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vacuum cleaner: I have a 1800 sqft house. First floor and basement is completely laminate. Needless to say, cleaning the floors is one heck of a chore. I've used Hoover Floormate since moving here and I thought that had been a lifesaver, until this came. The foyer area has very high traffic. I wash the floor with Floormate. Then today i used this to see what the difference would be. I stopped partway in to cleaning it to see what was happening. I was amazed!! This machine literally blows the Floormate out of the water. Not only does it do the job and do it well, but it's very easy to use. It's a lot lighter and does a much better job and is easier to maneuver. It's a definite must for anyone who has a lot of square footage with solid surface floors. We haven't had it long so I can't comment on its durability but if issues do come up, I'll update my review. Packaging was simple, No excessive packaging, enough to keep it safe. It took me five minutes to unbox, assemble and get to work. Very easy to setup, happy to see that it comes with two brushes and cleaning liquids. It's a simple, yet highly effective hard floor cleaner. It seems sturdy, yet is compact and light, and it comes with its own plastic tray to sit in with an attachment where the roller can also air out to dry.

Cleans Thoroughly, But Not Without Issues
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was used on hard floor. It works on area rugs as well, and it could yield different results, but this was not tested. Mopping is laborious, and having to travel back and forth between a sink and the area I'm working on to clean and wet the mop gets tedious. I've used other methods, but they all largely result in not being versatile enough for cleaning hard floors. After giving this product a go, I found mopping can be done better, though it does have some issues that could be easily addressed. The CrossWave Pet Pro is a very simple tool to use. It has two settings—area rug and hard floor—and works just like a vacuum cleaner. It's easy to push and pull, and the swivel is a great addition for better maneuverability. To start, you add solution (this comes with two small bottles) and water to the clean tank. Then it's ready to go. I used this on vinyl floor, one of which is frequented by dogs, and this left them looking clean and shiny. The brush roll cleans deep and thorough, and it dries fast. It really is a great brush! But while it gives great results, the cleaning and clean-up process can sometimes be frustrating. The manual says to spray the solution when moving forward as well as backward. I found that a regular mop is faster in wetting an area than the CrossWave Pet Pro, as it seems to eject a small amount of solution in lengthy intervals. I'll often move forward and backward and still not see any of the rolled surface wet. It's better to go slower, both when wetting and drying. The brush roll keeps itself pretty dry most of the time, as the vacuum is taking in all the liquid. This is what allows it to dry the floor fast. Sometimes the solution seems to leak though, and I'll have to go over an area again to get it to where it'll dry faster. But if you don't mind waiting for an area to dry slow, there is little need to go over areas again to get them dry, since it's not a severe leak. The swivel could be wider for tighter spaces and areas. Don't expect this to get into any corners or within about half an inch to an inch of any wall—it fails to reach in this regard, and you'll have to do clean it another way. The clean-up is overall easy to do, but it takes a while. I actually enjoy cleaning the brush roll. Place the cleaner on the parking tray, pour in some water, and turn the cleaner on. The dirty tank has a strainer for hair and other dirt debris, which I find great. You'll have to clean the tank, cover, and strainer. It's good to check the filter, too. All these pieces will need to air dry before putting it all back together. Again, easy to do, but it can take some time compared to other cleaning methods. I would love to give this a perfect rating, but ultimately it's having to go over some areas again due to it not getting wet, as well as not reaching certain areas along walls and in corners that I am unable to give it that. When it does clean, it's very thorough, and it works great for people with messy pets. The messier they are, the better this will clean. But a product designed for cleaning not allowing me to clean the entirety of an area and sometimes causing some frustration for not wetting when it should isn't good. I'd still recommend this product, but you'll need more than this to clean an entire area.

Good Cleaning Capability
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a fan of Bissell. I own several of their products, including the Spinwave. I expected to love the Crosswave. The Crosswave sounded like the perfect hard floor cleaner – the innovation of the Spinwave coupled with a vacuum function. Opening the box, you have the main unit, the handle (that you snap on the main unit – the only assembly you need to do), two small bottles of cleaner, an extra roller, the instructions, and warranty card. The other items in the box were a little confusing at first – a black tray (that at first I thought was for storage), a clear container, and a black plastic holder. I needed to read the instructions to find out what these pieces were. They are to clean the roller after use. I was a little dismayed by that (cleaning after you get done cleaning), but OK. The instructions for use, though, were clear as mud for me. Was I to use the unit to vacuum first (which what I’d normally do) or would I vacuum the floor and wet it at the same time? I found a couple of instructional videos on YouTube by Bissell and still wasn’t sure. My kitchen has plank-style vinyl flooring. I decided to vacuum first then mop. I was very impressed by the vacuum function, and appreciated the fact that I could do this without having to use two separate machines. We have a very active household, so there’s no shortage of stuck-on spots. Per the instructions, for these spots, I used the Area Rug setting to dispense extra cleaning fluid on the spot, then put the unit with the scrubber running over the spot to remove it. I tried this several times; only one or two spots came off the floor. I was also unsure of whether the floor was getting clean. You spray the cleaner as you move the unit forward using a button on the handle (one button is for area rugs, one for hard floors), then the unit vacuums up the water as you pull the unit back. Using the hard floor setting, I couldn’t see the fluid on the floor. The cleaner smelled great, but I wasn’t convinced much was coming out. So, toward the end of cleaning my combined kitchen/dining area, I used the area rug setting to make sure I was using enough cleaning fluid. This unit is also very loud. I tend to want to mop the floors after the children go to bed. By the time I used the unit and allowed the floor to dry, I felt it too late to “clean” the unit because of the potential of the unit waking people up. Even though I couldn’t see the results immediately, when I went to empty the dirty water bin, I was pleased to find the water was quite murky, meaning it did pick up a lot of the dirt on the floor. The floor looked better as well. This is a good idea that I think needs a bit more work in execution. I would recommend this for daily light cleaning. For stuck-on spot,s though, you may have to go to the Spinwave or use good old-fashioned elbow grease.

A Good Hybrid Floor Cleaning Device.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner truly can clean hard floors and carpets/rugs. From my usage of the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner, I find it to be a better vacuum than a hard floor cleaner. Constructing the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner was as easy as inserting the handle and clean water tank and then plugging it in the wall outlet. Cleaning hard floors or carpets/rugs is controlled by simply pressing the two buttons on the handle. One is for floors and the other is for carpets/rugs. Tremendous dirt is picked up by the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner. When I emptied the dirty water tank, it was semi-muddy. The suction is strong on carpets and rugs and really pulls in the dirt. Cleaning takes time to take apart the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner and rinse out all of the pieces. I prefer rinsing the brush out by pressure washing, instead of using the rinse and storage tray. I noticed after my hard floor dried that the cleanliness did not look uniform. It appeared that some parts of the floor looked streaky or cleaner in certain areas. The BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner does not require floor rinsing so this might require thorough cleaning on dirtier floors. In spite of the few discrepancies, I still like the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner.

Cleans up messes on carpet well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a cat and an elderly dog in the house and accidents happen. Unfortunately, they happen on carpet often. The CrossWave has made it easier to clean the mess, but there is still some prep work you need to do. For example, if your pet makes a mess you need to clean up as much as you can before running the CrossWave over it or else you will just end up smearing it everywhere. I have found that I need to run the CrossWave patiently over the area I want cleaned to lift out the odors. This takes a lot of patience, but beats manually scrubbing carpet! The instructions to clean the unit afterwards were straight forward, and a hard plastic stand/tray is provided to assist in cleaning the CrossWave and to store it. Pros: Lifts debris and agitates carpet at the same time Saves my back when dealing with carpet clean up easy maintenance Cons: It takes a lot of cleaning solution to remove odors from pets.

Best multi cleaner on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love love love. Better then any vacuum out on the sales floor. My husband says “ contemplating about what vacuum to buy? Regular vaccum or pet hair vacuum? Well he says have a lady in the house? Spend the extra money and buy the pet hair vacuum even if y’all don’t have a pet lol. It’s so true between my hair and my 4 daughters hair this definitely works wonders and in a few swipes. Vacuum the wash with the same machine. Cuts back of time doing house work. My favorite product ever even my kids Love vacuuming now. Clean water in one container dirty in the other. Best ever! One tip use warm water when cleaning. Cold water will not clean good. Best in hardwood or laminate floors.

Amazing!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With 2 large dogs, 3 cats and 2 kids, I have purchased quite a few cleaning products to try to make life easier and keep my house cleaner with less effort. I can finally say that a product exceeded my expectations. The crosswave is amazing, easy to use, easy to clean and it left my desperately in need of mopping floors clean as a whistle. My entire downstairs is hard floors with area rugs and this machine was able to clean all of it. No more vacuuming then mopping only to get the paper towels out to pick up the wet hair and dirt that was missed. The crosswave vacuums as it mops. Cleaning it is a breeze too which is really mind blowing. Worth every penny!

Perfect size
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.RIght out of the box - easy to set up. The multi surface cleaner comes with 2 small bottles of solution, 2 multi purpose brushes great for pets, a rinse tray, and the manual. Add warm water to cleaning formula and you are off. The clean up takes a little work. I like that the brushes are easy to remove and the appliance can be cleaned out easily. No need to run a vacuum before using this - great time saver! Would like a little more suction for removing water though. Love the carrying handle and it is very lightweight. The cord length (25') is a good size too. So far, so good... have one cat and I do vacuum a lot so this is good for the traffic areas/patterns he runs in the house!

It really works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this dual appliance as a gift and I am so impressed. It's easy to clean and the entire kitchen was able to get cleaned on a full tank. I'm not a decent sweeper so I always leave trash / fur behind and moping was a nightmare with the traditional mop and bucket. I had to refill mop bucket several times and the area would still look as if I done nothing. It made me just want to get rid of the furry pet kids. But now clean up was super easy. I never saw the floors look this clean since the vinyl was installed. I can even clean the rolling brushes due to that special tray feature Bissell included. All I had to do was put the gadget together which was just the handle, clean water jug and the filter and the dirty water container it only took about 3 mins and no tools needed. I filled the jug to the water line for large areas then I added the included cleaning solution to the solution fill line. Then I plugged it up and put my foot on the vac's head and tilted the handle back then pressed the bare floor button and squeezed the button under the handle for 10 secs then I started mopping and vacuuming the not so great swepted floor. I would remove my finger from the button underneath the handle at times just to give the water sprayer a break from spraying the floor and releasing that button also allows the machine to suck up the water from the water. I also had a fan blowing on the floor as I mopped and the floor wasn't even wet looking but it was extremely clean. Then when I was done I pkacesu the vac in it's tray and poured hot water into the tray's bucket holster and then I tilted the vac / mop back and pressed bare floor button and it started spinning while inside the cradle tray so it could clean the brush. I even pressed the button under the handle for 2 secs so it could release some solution into the tray then I let the button go & it sucked all the water up from the cradle. Then I turned it off and Cleaned everything else which was super easy. Pets watched the whole time they liked the clean floors too.

Good for small cleanups
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bissel Crosswave multi-surface floor cleaner is easy to set up and easy to use. Cleaning a large ceramic tile kitchen floor is a breeze. Just select your floor surface type (hard floor or carpet), press the trigger to release the cleaning solution, and go. Release the trigger for vacuum only, to dry floors quickly. You may have to go over heavily soiled areas a second time. Pros: - The storage pan catches drips from the unit once you have finished cleaning. It also holds the funnel used to fill the cleaning solution tank. - The unit has a long cord, as well as a quick-release cord peg. - The Bissel is fairly quiet and emits less noise than a competitor's unit I have had for a couple of years. - Floors dry quickly if you run the unit over the area in vacuum only mode. Cons: - The two tanks are small, so for large areas you may need to empty the dirty water tank and refill the cleaning solution tank to finish the job. I give this unit at least a 4. It seems that none of the household units I have tested are truly heavy duty and capable of scrubbing the floor's grout clean. I will see how it performs on light carpet cleaning duties.

Easy to set up and use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good: Out of the box, this took little time to set up and get going. The brush picks up dog hair (and my hair) just fine and the vacuum does well with the loose dust and dirt. The scent of the cleaning solution is lightly floral, and not overpowering (keep in mind that I am not scent sensitive). I really like the convenience of moving from hard surface floors to area rugs. The not so good: The cleaner was not very effective on very dirty floors. The areas around where our garbage pail sits, our stove, and the floor under where our meals are prepped have all suffered from cleaning neglect. I expected to have to work at it even with the new Bissell, but the Bissell was pretty much a waste of time. This device might be the perfect thing for weekly (or daily) cleanliness maintenance, but expect that you will need a relatively clean floor to start out with. I would recommend this to friends who already have a regular cleaning routine. I would not recommend this to friends who clean only when it becomes obvious that they need to.

Another winning Bissell
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've got several different Bissell vacuums that I really like, and so far, this one is no exception. We have a lot of indoor cats, but also live out in the country with horses so we're always tracking dirt into our utility room and kitchen area. We frequently vacuum these areas, but just don't take the time to mop very often. I think this vacuum will solve that problem. Here are some things I like about this vacuum: - It was a little quieter than I expected after reading some other reviews - I found the power cord to be plenty long to use conveniently - There's a handy clip on the handle to help keep the power cord up out of the way while using it - The handle was comfortable and I liked having the on/off switches right there on the handle - The wheels rolled quietly over my tile floor; some other vacuums have harder plastic wheels that make a clattering sound that annoys me - I found it to be maneuverable and could easily get under the cabinet toe kick space - It came with a spare roller and also cleaning solution - It was easy to clean all the parts after using it - The storage tray that the whole vacuum sits in works well to contain any moisture while it's air drying; it also worked well for flushing/rinsing the vacuum after use, per the instructions There really wasn't anything that caught my attention as something I didn't like about this vacuum. After using it, I'd say the floor was about as clean as if I'd gone over the whole thing using a cloth or paper towels. It probably doesn't loosen stuck on dirt as well as using a scrub brush, but for the normal dirt/mud we track in I think it'll work great. It'll be a great way to quickly (and more frequently) give a thorough cleaning of our tiled areas. Another great Bissell product!

Great for Hard floors, still need regualr vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a well-designed floor cleaner that deserves 4.5 stars. Overall design is well thought out and quite functional. Worked great for all types of pet messes and dirt. This does a good job at cleaning and Bissell did a good job designing the CrossWave. One of the best parts is how easy it is to clean after each use. All the important parts are easy to remove, drain, and clean. The pet hair "strainer" is a nice feature that separates hair from the dirty water, but it can be tough to clean at times with longer pet hair. Glad they included the multi-surface cleaner, which I will probably buy again but I'll be testing with vinegar at some point. It's important to remember this is not a vacuum nor was it intended to be sold as one. It will work on any surface but this is not going to be your regular-use vacuum, unless you have all hard floors then you can (probably) try to use this as your main vacuum. Pros: Easy setup Pet hair strainer Pet friendly Decent Maneuverability Easy empty dirty water tank Separate clean water tank 2 brush rolls Buttons built in to handle Super long cord Easy cleaning Include surface cleaner Cleans well without having to go over many times Pet owners and homes with young children will definitely benefit from this model. The CrossWave in general is pretty well made and seems to be durable. I am very happy with how well the CrossWaves cleans up messes. I generally don't have to go over an area twice as long as I don't move too fast. Hair, pawprints, dirty, sand, all get scooped up and cleaned. It does take a few tank fills to clean one floor of a medium sized homes when doing a deeper cleaning. It's also important to note that your floor will be damp for a little while. The roller is pretty easy to clean and doesn't get tangled up with hair. Most importantly, it's great for any mess. Bathrooms, kitchens, etc will all benefit from this cleaner regardless of pet ownership. Maneuverability was pretty good but not great, I think there is some improvement to be made here, but this should be good enough for most people. The CrossWave is super easy to clean, which was a big plus for me. This vacuum utilizes the popular one touch removal and emptying of the tank, which is a good size and easy to operate. Integrating the surface buttons into the handle is another nice touch in the design so you don't have to bend over or stop what you're doing. They also include 2 rollers which keep this cleaner always ready to go. The rinse tray keeps everything nice and organized. The extra long power cord is very convenient. LED light is helpful but could have been positioned much better. Cons: Multi-surface households will require a good vacuum. Overall, there are not many cons to this vacuum and I think most buyers will be very pleased. I think it's priced a little too high for to lack good vacuum-only functionality. However, this is a bit of a niche product that does exactly what it was made to do. I would recommend this cleaner.
