Not as convenient as I'd like
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This multi-surface does a decent job cleaning floors and rugs – no complaint about its core functionality. But there are a few shortcomings that keep me from rating it higher. First, because it collects dirty water, it requires cleaning after every use, no matter whether it's a small or large job. This point probably applies to all appliances in this category, not just this one. And since most jobs are small, it's more work to clean the vacuum than it is to clean a small spill. If you’re planning to use this as part of a regular routine or for large clean ups, then it makes sense to consider. Second, there is no edge cleaning. Deep corners, base boards, and other edges will have to be attacked with other tools. It has no attachments, even for dry vacuuming. Third, the trigger for releasing solution is badly placed. When pushing the vacuum around, it's easy for your fingers to slip to the trigger, releasing fluid when you don't mean to. Lastly, for lack of a better description, the overall feel of the appliance is clunky. The misplaced trigger above is one example. Another is it's easy to spill cleaning fluid when trying to pour it into the clean water tank because of the spout design. And once you fill the clean water tank, it's easy to cap it in a way that looks closed, but isn't. The result is water quickly leaks through the bottom and onto your floor. And finally, when emptying the dirty water tank, the strainer is not snapped to the tank so if you forget it's there, it will fall out when you turn over the tank to pour out the water. Now imagine your kids or pets cause a mess and you’re in a hurry to clean it up. When you’re in a rush, you are less likely to pay attention to details like capping the tank properly, keeping hands away from the trigger, etc… You can argue this is all user error, but I think its overall design is not good for when you’re in a hurry. Certainly you'll remember all these details after a few uses, but its first time use could have been thought through better. As a result, I can only recommend this if you’re planning to use this methodically.

Finished mopping
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this to review. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Cleaning up with 4 animals that shed and go in and out of the house tracking in dirt is no easy task. This mutlisurface cleaner was easy to setup and use. Maybe 10 mins of setup. Most of my home is laminate so this seemed like a good product for my house just from reading what its use is for. I thankfully was correct. I had mopped and swept the floor before I used this cleaner as I wasn't sure how good it would work. It found dirt and hair that apparently the broom and mop left behind. Now I will probably still sweep first as 4 animals shed an awful lot. Once you finish using it cleanup is incredibly easy. They designed this with little thought on our part to clean the floors and the cleaner itself. I definitely recommend cleaning it every time. I'm glad I came across this machine it has made my house so much cleaner.its worth the money in my opinion. I am including a picture of the dirt and hair I thought I had already cleaned before I used it.

Perfect combination for cleaning
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the perfect combination of both a mop and a vacuum - and it's great for cleaning hard surfaces as well as carpet - especially for pet owners. It cleans extremely well and has been very reliable. Overall, it has made cleaning large areas much, much easier. Highly recommend!

Great design & features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have two cats and find that maining our wood floors can be challenging with the amount of fur that collects in our home as well as vomit stains and cleanup needs. There are several new wood floor maintenance product on the market. Since Bissell has been market leader in floor care products, we decided to try the Crosswave Pet Pro model. Assembly of the unit was easy (five minutes). It also came with two bottles of cleaning fluid. It comes as a concentrate so we expect the two small bottles to last through many cleanings. Our first use of the product was easy. Once we got into the flow, the cleaning went pretty quickly. You can adjust the flow of cleaning fluid and allow the floor to dry more quickly. We were amazed ant how great the floor looked after we used the cleaner. Great product!!!

Nice little product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the Bissell cross-wave pet pro all-in-one multi-surface cleaner in a purple and silver color. The box came really damaged but the packing in the box kept the cross-wave safe from damage. In the box was the corded vacuum a rinse and clean out storage tray and accessories to assist in the cleaning, 2 bottles of a multi-surface pet formula with Febreze and 2 multi-surface pet brush rolls. A separate tank for the cleaning solution. Minus the minor shipping issue, the cross-wave comes with everything you need to do the job and clean the vacuum after use. The cross-wave is a tad bit on the heavy side, it is easy to push back and forth, the cord is a good length to get around a room. The book has the formula to load the cleaning solution with marks on the bottle to help you with filling it. The cross-wave is designed for you to be able to vacuum and using the cleaning solution to mop the floor or clean the carpet at the same time. It vacuums the mess and washes/mop the floor at the same time. It has a Febreze formula that you can spray the carpet with as you vacuum up the carpet. The trash bin is easy to remove and dump the trash. It picks up a lot the trash and pet hair I don't see anything left behind after you pass through it. It has a button set to tell what kind of surface you are using and a trigger for the solution. It's kind of the best of both worlds when cleaning up a mess. You don't have to use one thing then go and grab the other one after sweeping or vacuuming to wash the floor. I would suggest buying it.

So far, SO GREAT
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So we've only had the opportunity to use this once before writing the review, but so far this thing is AWESOME. While nothing will ever be as good as old fashioned elbow grease and effort, this comes close. It's a joy to not have to vacuum, then sweep, then mop the floor. This essentially does all three at once. I'll be curious to see how difficult it will be to thoroughly clean the canisters and brushes, but after two uses I can say with confidence that our floors haven't been this clean in a long time. FYI WE HAVE TWO DOGS AND TWO CATS SO THINGS CAN GET MESSY! For what we've done so far, we would highly recommend this Bissell.

So-So - I prefer my separate machines
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been very interested and reviewed all reviews on Amazon and Best Buy, they all made me very excited to at least give it a try. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. I have a Bissell carpet cleaner, a Bissell Steam mop and a Shark vacuum cleaner, all of which work amazing. I was hoping that this machine would enable me to reduce using the carpet cleaner and steam mop. I noticed from the get go that this machine was very difficult to push, I'm 28 years old and every other machine was smooth and easy to move. This was frustrating since I had to put my back into it, I do realize it's suction is strong but still not comfortable. I tried it on carpet first then I tried it on the hard wood floors. On the hard wood with the cleaner option, it just left big wet spots versus actually sucking and completing the job. Overall very sad since I had high hopes for this but I think I'll just stick to my amazing machines that take care of jobs separately. Maybe some day they will get the science down for combining two cleaners in one.

Great - between a steamer and carpet cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t sure exactly what this product could do. What I found is it fits perfectly between my steam cleaner and carpet shampooer. You don’t have to vacuum before using as I do with the steam cleaner nor do I need to worry about damaging my area rugs (small or large) as I do with the shampooer. Overall this is a well thought out product but I would expect nothing less from Bissell. I am really impressed with it and would recommend. It is nicely packaged and comes with 2 brush rollers, 2 small bottles of cleaner, a rinse/storage tray that cleaner sits in, drying/rinse tray for the brush rollers and a rinse cup. Positives; Very easy to put together – was ready to use in 5 minutes. Has separate hard floor and area rug cleaning modes, easily selected on the handle. Very comfortable to use and unit is nicely weighted. Very well designed for access/cleaning; Easily accessed clean water/solution tank with easy to read solution/water mix markings. Has large or small area markings for mixing. Easy to use/clean dirty water tank. Cleaning head is easily taken apart to access/clean brush roller and wipe out accumulated “gunk”. Its kind of unique too as it consists of soft “cloth” and little soft plastic “nubbies”. To use cleaning solution, you press and hold a trigger button. This also turns the lights on cleaning head. To me it has pretty powerful suction that left areas clean and got most of the water Getting out spots etc. from tile. I don’t have any wood floors but I did use on light colored tile as well as and darker wood resemblance tile. with no streaking. I used the large area mixing and was able to clean about 500 to 600 sq feet of tile and a couple of area rugs. This used up one of the bottles of solution supplied with unit. Very easy to maneuver but on our thick area rugs it was a little hard to push around. 3 year warranty Negatives: The only issue I have is you cant lay handle flat so cannot get completely under beds, dressers, etc.

love my bissell
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i love having this. glad I can clean my carpets more then just a vacuum. works great and easy to use. the only downside is you have to pay attention with the cap. easy to put it on wrong. and this is a troubleshoot item so seems to be common. like that it came with a stand for it. so you can place it in once done.

It’s ok
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to put together. Was suppose to have an extra brush with it but it wasn’t in the box. As far as cleaning, if u go really slow it does well. I can mop my floors a lot faster with a regular mop.

A must have cleaning tool
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The BISSELL - CrossWave cleaner makes cleaning my home so much easier. As a dog owner, it is a pain cleaning up after my dog. Whenever I let him in my house, he leaves so much hair behind and paw prints everywhere. The BISSELL - CrossWave cleaner has made the cleaning task so much easier. I love the fact that I can spray the cleaning solution with the push of a button. It is lightweight, has a long cord, and is really simple to setup. The soap dispenser is clearly labeled to get the right mixture every time. I really like the fact that it comes with all the needed accessories to get to work right away. It came with two cleaning solution bottles, an extra roller, a large drip trey to rest the actual machine, and a smaller drip trey for the rollers themselves. Really well thought out. I would highly recommend the BISSELL - CrossWave Multi-Surface cleaner.

Worried so bought at Walmart to allow for return
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The average value machine does nothing on my wool area rugs, leaves streaks on dark brand new laminate wood floors. Easy to use, lousy on corners/base-boards, finally tried rug setting to sweep all first, and worked but double effort. It is noisy. Application of floor solution uneven, leaves excess fluid every once in a while, taking a potty break? Cord length adequate. Cleaning tray shallow, careful not to overfill or another clean-up. Controls not designed/placed great, some inadvertent sprays. Not easily maneuverable, very small wheels. Not great will meet the 30-day return window after one more use.

It’s okay
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s just okay. Definitely can’t be used for any deep cleaning, but decent for everyday use. Does not scrub well at all. The cleaning solution smells great, but you need to clean it with every use or it will get a stagnant smell to it. Maybe my expectations were too high.
