    Deep cleaning, but not "convenient".

We have a semi-new manufactured home (doublewide) and it has "floating" hard floors in the kitchen, theater room, bathrooms and utility room. These floors are awesome and always super-shiny. So, we've been looking for a good alternative to using the Swiffer. Does this make a good alternative? Well, it depends. Unboxing it, there sure are a lot of parts. My wife was excited to try this out and give it a few good test rounds. We wanted to take our time testing this to see if it really did make a good (ahem, permanent) replacement to conventional mopping or using the Swiffer Sweeper wets. I will say, unboxing, there's definitely the wow factor. It's super nice, heavy and you really feel you got the value from it, quality-wise. The main thing I loved about it was the really long cord. For us, this is pretty much the equivalent to our carpet cleaner, but for hardwood floors. Also, the fact that you don't have to worry about sweeping before using it is awesome - we have a beagle/hound mix dog and she sheds like CRAZY. We have a robot vacuum that we run about every two days and does an excellent job on both hard and carpet floors, so, there's not too much that this has to pick up while cleaning the floors. But it does a great job getting anything that is there! The water container seems small at first and doesn't feel like it holds that much water. However, we were able to do all of the hard floors in the house and still had about 1/4 of the tank remaining. They give you two small bottles of the cleaning solution and it really makes the floor/house smell great after using. But...and this is the only "but" for this product. After each use, it does take a while to disassemble, clean, dry and put up. Plus, it's pretty big and bulky. So, while it does an awesome, deep clean on the hard floors, we will probably stick to our Swiffer Wets just for quick, convenient cleaning and just break out this cleaner about 4x a year or so (which is also about when we clean our carpets) to get that nice, super cleaning of the floors and the shine from it. In addition, expect some upkeep expense to this in having to buy the cleaning solution and, as time goes on, the replacement "mop" heads. They include two and it's really convenient to clean and let dry in the way it's set up. But, once these wear down, you will eventually have to buy replacements. Not sure how much this would be in comparison to say, buying replacement Swiffer Wet pads. Overall, I would give this a 5 for performance, but a 3 for general-use functionality. The total time it take to clean the floors (as you have to go semi-slow) with it and the fact that sometimes it doesn't pick up all the water from the last "sweep", I can't recommend breaking this out several times a week to keep your floors clean as compared to using something quick and simple like a regular mop or a Swiffer. But it's a nice addition to the carpet cleaner for that once-a-month (or few months) cleaning. Regardless, I'm going to give this a 4-star rating, as I do recommend it as an investment based on the build quality and how well it does clean.

Cleaning the floors… Vacuuming the carpet… Tedious, but necessary jobs that (hopefully) every household endures. Add a pet, and it just evolves into a full out job in some cases. Enter the Crosswave Pet Pro from Bissell. A vacuum meets floor cleaner dynamo designed to serve as a true ‘floor cleaner’ of sorts. The Crosswave comes in a nice, tight box, packed to perfection. While unboxing, the first thing you will notice is that the looks don’t do it justice from a quality standpoint. It looks like one of those inexpensive handhelds, but it’s actually very well built and sturdy. It requires a small amount of assembly, but I was able to snap the parts together without the instructions. There is an additional brush, as well as a tray designed to store the vacuum/cleaner when not in use. When I first saw this tray, my mind immediately went to the thought of convenience (more later), and this definitely has to be part of the intent, along with protecting the floor where storing. The Crosswave Pet Pro is relatively light, and it needs to be. The fact that it carries water adds considerable weight. Everything we use today is going to smaller and lighter. While this device is considerably small for what it does, you will feel the difference water makes from a mobility standpoint. The vacuum runs at a decent noise level. It’s not quite as loud as my carpet cleaner or one of my other vacuums, but it’s not the quietest I’ve used either. How does it perform? Well, for a swiss army knife of floor cleaning, the Crosswave does an admirable job. It can handle just about any surface type – I wouldn’t dare use this on a shaggy carpet. It’s not quite as robust on carpets as a carpet cleaner, but it’s pretty good. The fact that it is targeted for standard, day-to-day use is what is notable. You can basically start vacuuming the room (any floor type), notice a spot or grimy area, pull the trigger for wet action, and continue your routine without missing a beat. The concept is tremendous, and the execution isn’t half bad either. I guess Bissel is trying to make it easier to get a better clean. Which leads me to my next point: I’d love to use this thing for regular floor tidying – once or twice a week. My problem with doing that is the device cleaning. Because of the wet-dry aspect of the Crosswave, you have to clean it as you would any carpet cleaner. That becomes a bit tedious over time, and actually, can become a turn off for consistent use – sort of like most of our carpet cleaners are. It’s not a terrible chore, but in comparison to the cordless options of today with their bagless dust cups… I think you get the picture. Where I think this device may shine is in cleaning hard surfaces. Instead of pulling out the broom and mop, or the spray sweeper, the Crosswave Pet Pro can easily handle that job in one step, leaving your floor dry in the process. That is definitely worth the look. Overall, this is a good product that is waiting to be great. Sometimes the utility knife solution can either be too much, or prevent a device from being better than average at any of it’s uses. This little baby is effective. It is a great design that, for the most part, gets the job done.

I have no real comparison as this is the first time I have purchased any sort of carpet cleaner. I liked this one for the versatility of its ability to do multiple surfaces as well as deal with pets. Before I have used the rental machines at the local big chain store, but again this is nothing like those sorts of machines. Out of the box, it is easy to put together and takes maybe a few minutes. It comes with two brushes and a tray to rest the machine in while it dries (see picture). So because it is smaller, this is definitely for smaller jobs or areas. I think it would be ideal for an apartment or a smaller house. Personally I have used it mostly on the carpeted area of my home, but it worked equaly well on hardwood. I didn’t use it too much on the hardwood, because I was not sure how it would work or if it would cause damage. So I was careful and made sure to wipe up I any excess water to make sure it was okay. I did not have any issues, but then again I was again very careful. I did not try it on my area rug, because I am very particular the rug. The roller brush is really well made and functions very well. It has rough brushes and smooth brushes all combined that work well on the various surfaces you use them on. The rough parts of the brush really grab up any hair on the ground. Really well in fact. You can use this as a floor cleaner or as a floor cleaner and a vacuum at the same time. So basically you clean and vacuum at the same time. The vacuum is okay, I prefer to use a stronger vacuum to go over the surface first. So it comes with a few small sample bottles of cleaning solution. A little goes a long ways, and the smell is pleasant. It also cleans well and I did not notice any residue or shampoo left on the carpeted area. It has two compartments, one for putting the solution in, and one for emptying the dirty solution. Simple and straight forward. So, again this is a small job small area machine, but it does that much very well. It is fairly small and stores easily in the closet. The drip tray allows for easy worry free clean up afterwards. I recommend this to anyone that needs a good spot or small area cleaning device. For that I think it will be a good work horse.

Cleans Thoroughly, But Not Without Issues

This was used on hard floor. It works on area rugs as well, and it could yield different results, but this was not tested. Mopping is laborious, and having to travel back and forth between a sink and the area I'm working on to clean and wet the mop gets tedious. I've used other methods, but they all largely result in not being versatile enough for cleaning hard floors. After giving this product a go, I found mopping can be done better, though it does have some issues that could be easily addressed. The CrossWave Pet Pro is a very simple tool to use. It has two settings—area rug and hard floor—and works just like a vacuum cleaner. It's easy to push and pull, and the swivel is a great addition for better maneuverability. To start, you add solution (this comes with two small bottles) and water to the clean tank. Then it's ready to go. I used this on vinyl floor, one of which is frequented by dogs, and this left them looking clean and shiny. The brush roll cleans deep and thorough, and it dries fast. It really is a great brush! But while it gives great results, the cleaning and clean-up process can sometimes be frustrating. The manual says to spray the solution when moving forward as well as backward. I found that a regular mop is faster in wetting an area than the CrossWave Pet Pro, as it seems to eject a small amount of solution in lengthy intervals. I'll often move forward and backward and still not see any of the rolled surface wet. It's better to go slower, both when wetting and drying. The brush roll keeps itself pretty dry most of the time, as the vacuum is taking in all the liquid. This is what allows it to dry the floor fast. Sometimes the solution seems to leak though, and I'll have to go over an area again to get it to where it'll dry faster. But if you don't mind waiting for an area to dry slow, there is little need to go over areas again to get them dry, since it's not a severe leak. The swivel could be wider for tighter spaces and areas. Don't expect this to get into any corners or within about half an inch to an inch of any wall—it fails to reach in this regard, and you'll have to do clean it another way. The clean-up is overall easy to do, but it takes a while. I actually enjoy cleaning the brush roll. Place the cleaner on the parking tray, pour in some water, and turn the cleaner on. The dirty tank has a strainer for hair and other dirt debris, which I find great. You'll have to clean the tank, cover, and strainer. It's good to check the filter, too. All these pieces will need to air dry before putting it all back together. Again, easy to do, but it can take some time compared to other cleaning methods. I would love to give this a perfect rating, but ultimately it's having to go over some areas again due to it not getting wet, as well as not reaching certain areas along walls and in corners that I am unable to give it that. When it does clean, it's very thorough, and it works great for people with messy pets. The messier they are, the better this will clean. But a product designed for cleaning not allowing me to clean the entirety of an area and sometimes causing some frustration for not wetting when it should isn't good. I'd still recommend this product, but you'll need more than this to clean an entire area.

This is a well-designed floor cleaner that deserves 4.5 stars. Overall design is well thought out and quite functional. Worked great for all types of pet messes and dirt. This does a good job at cleaning and Bissell did a good job designing the CrossWave. One of the best parts is how easy it is to clean after each use. All the important parts are easy to remove, drain, and clean. The pet hair "strainer" is a nice feature that separates hair from the dirty water, but it can be tough to clean at times with longer pet hair. Glad they included the multi-surface cleaner, which I will probably buy again but I'll be testing with vinegar at some point. It's important to remember this is not a vacuum nor was it intended to be sold as one. It will work on any surface but this is not going to be your regular-use vacuum, unless you have all hard floors then you can (probably) try to use this as your main vacuum. Pros: Easy setup Pet hair strainer Pet friendly Decent Maneuverability Easy empty dirty water tank Separate clean water tank 2 brush rolls Buttons built in to handle Super long cord Easy cleaning Include surface cleaner Cleans well without having to go over many times Pet owners and homes with young children will definitely benefit from this model. The CrossWave in general is pretty well made and seems to be durable. I am very happy with how well the CrossWaves cleans up messes. I generally don't have to go over an area twice as long as I don't move too fast. Hair, pawprints, dirty, sand, all get scooped up and cleaned. It does take a few tank fills to clean one floor of a medium sized homes when doing a deeper cleaning. It's also important to note that your floor will be damp for a little while. The roller is pretty easy to clean and doesn't get tangled up with hair. Most importantly, it's great for any mess. Bathrooms, kitchens, etc will all benefit from this cleaner regardless of pet ownership. Maneuverability was pretty good but not great, I think there is some improvement to be made here, but this should be good enough for most people. The CrossWave is super easy to clean, which was a big plus for me. This vacuum utilizes the popular one touch removal and emptying of the tank, which is a good size and easy to operate. Integrating the surface buttons into the handle is another nice touch in the design so you don't have to bend over or stop what you're doing. They also include 2 rollers which keep this cleaner always ready to go. The rinse tray keeps everything nice and organized. The extra long power cord is very convenient. LED light is helpful but could have been positioned much better. Cons: Multi-surface households will require a good vacuum. Overall, there are not many cons to this vacuum and I think most buyers will be very pleased. I think it's priced a little too high for to lack good vacuum-only functionality. However, this is a bit of a niche product that does exactly what it was made to do. I would recommend this cleaner.

I am a fan of Bissell. I own several of their products, including the Spinwave. I expected to love the Crosswave. The Crosswave sounded like the perfect hard floor cleaner – the innovation of the Spinwave coupled with a vacuum function. Opening the box, you have the main unit, the handle (that you snap on the main unit – the only assembly you need to do), two small bottles of cleaner, an extra roller, the instructions, and warranty card. The other items in the box were a little confusing at first – a black tray (that at first I thought was for storage), a clear container, and a black plastic holder. I needed to read the instructions to find out what these pieces were. They are to clean the roller after use. I was a little dismayed by that (cleaning after you get done cleaning), but OK. The instructions for use, though, were clear as mud for me. Was I to use the unit to vacuum first (which what I’d normally do) or would I vacuum the floor and wet it at the same time? I found a couple of instructional videos on YouTube by Bissell and still wasn’t sure. My kitchen has plank-style vinyl flooring. I decided to vacuum first then mop. I was very impressed by the vacuum function, and appreciated the fact that I could do this without having to use two separate machines. We have a very active household, so there’s no shortage of stuck-on spots. Per the instructions, for these spots, I used the Area Rug setting to dispense extra cleaning fluid on the spot, then put the unit with the scrubber running over the spot to remove it. I tried this several times; only one or two spots came off the floor. I was also unsure of whether the floor was getting clean. You spray the cleaner as you move the unit forward using a button on the handle (one button is for area rugs, one for hard floors), then the unit vacuums up the water as you pull the unit back. Using the hard floor setting, I couldn’t see the fluid on the floor. The cleaner smelled great, but I wasn’t convinced much was coming out. So, toward the end of cleaning my combined kitchen/dining area, I used the area rug setting to make sure I was using enough cleaning fluid. This unit is also very loud. I tend to want to mop the floors after the children go to bed. By the time I used the unit and allowed the floor to dry, I felt it too late to “clean” the unit because of the potential of the unit waking people up. Even though I couldn’t see the results immediately, when I went to empty the dirty water bin, I was pleased to find the water was quite murky, meaning it did pick up a lot of the dirt on the floor. The floor looked better as well. This is a good idea that I think needs a bit more work in execution. I would recommend this for daily light cleaning. For stuck-on spot,s though, you may have to go to the Spinwave or use good old-fashioned elbow grease.

Pros: Easy to fill and use. Good suction. Detergent goes a long way. Works really well on hard floors and “okay” on low carpeting. Cons: Cleaning the machine after use is time consuming and messy. The plastic guard over the brush is a pain to put back on. I enjoyed the Bissell Crosswave. For such a small machine, it does a really good job cleaning. Assembly was very quick and easy (insert the handle until it clicks and shove the detergent / water bottle in its slot on the back). I was up and running in under five minutes. I have a small apartment with tile and short carpeting. I only filled the detergent bottle up to the “small area” mark as I wasn’t sure how far it would stretch. I’m glad I did as that was sufficient to clean my entire living room and my tiled entryway. The machine did a pretty good job of cleaning the carpet. I was worried that it wasn’t putting out enough fluid, but stepping on the area being cleaned with my sock covered foot revealed that it was indeed quite wet. It managed to pull up a fair amount of cat hair, and it successfully erased some stubborn pet stains. At times, I did feel like the machine was struggling some on the carpeting. When they say "area rug" I think they really did mean "rug" and not carpet. The machine really did a great job on my tile. Pressing the button to switch to the hard floor mode, the machine did a great job of scrubbing the floor to a nice polished shine. Honestly, my tile has never looked this good (even after mopping). The low pile runner I have running down the length of my entry way also cleaned very nicely (using the area rug mode). Cleaning the machine after use was a bit of a bear. The dirty “water” bin had surprisingly little water in it. Don’t get me wrong, it had some (maybe a quarter of a cup?), but the bin was mostly full of cat hair and dirt. Scrubbing it clean took some doing, and I would strongly recommend doing this in a utility sink. With so many little parts and crevices, cat hair managed to get stuck just about everywhere. The plastic shield over the brush came off easily, but it was an absolute bear to put back on. I found the trick was to line up the plastic overhangs on both the left and right sides and then rotate it backwards so that it pivots over them and fits onto the pegs. Shoving it straight down onto the two pegs won’t do you any good. I did not feel any kind of satisfying “click” when reattaching the guard, but the guard appears to be flush to the machine and securely attached. I would strongly recommend this machine (particularly if you have hard floors).

All the components of this machine came well-packed in one box that has hand holds on either side of the box; that is important to me just to get it in the house. It literally took minutes to set up this Pet Crosswave, with a quick start guide and full owner manual included. I already have a Bissell Pet Vacuum cleaner and I do love the Tangle-free brush roll. On other machines I usually have to get out a scissor and cut the hair off the roller. So, the dog hair gets sucked up from the Tangle-free brush roll and it is not the nicest thing to have the pet hair with the dirty water in the canister. There are 2 small containers of floor cleaner included that have a flower fragrance. I was told by Bissell that this machine is not meant to clean carpet, but rather area rugs because it is not a deep cleaner. I did use this on several area rugs, though, and found that it did a good job cleaning and deodorizing. However, when you are done and it is time to clean up the dirty water bottle be prepared to see all sorts of hair and other yucky solids that the machine picked up. I used toilet paper to retrieve and clean out those solids before dumping the dirty water in the toilet. Clearly, I only want to put water into my sewer system without bulk solids so it is important to clean out canister as best as possible. Then you need to either dry these pieces or let them air dry. Pros-does a good job, easy to use, set up for a while with cleaning fluid and other components. Cons-no accessories for upholstery, etc. and ultimate clean up of dirty water bottle.

I have 2 dogs in the house, and sometimes they get into certain things or eat too much and end up throwing up around the house. I had a portable Bissell Pet Cleaner that worked fairly well but the act of getting down on my hands and knees was not ideal. Enter in the new Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro, and I believe I've found my ideal pet cleaning product. The Crosswave does a great job of cleaning, the brush is firm and is able to get into the carpet in a way that my old Bissell could not. The only thing I don't really like about the Cleaner is it doesn't do the best job of really sucking up all the moisture out of the carpet. I understand a little dampness left afterwards, but to me it leaves a lot and you can't really tell if its got it all or not. Cleanup is fairly simple and everything can be rinsed and laid out to dry for 24 hours. Adding the amount of liquid is fairly straightforward as theres a line for water and then the line to add the Soap so you cant get the mixture wrong! Theres 2 separate containers one for the soap and one for the residual thats sucked up through the vacuum. Theres a setting for carpet and wood floors. I've used this on stains around the house that proved to be tough in the past or areas with a lot of dirt and the Bissell does a great job of cleaning overall. The only thing I would change would be to add a button to do a boost of suction to make sure all the water is sucked out of the carpet. Other than that its a great unit and I recommend it!

What's In the Box ----------------- 2 Multi-Surface Pet Brush Rolls Multi-Surface Pet Formula with Febreze Freshness Rinse & Clean Out Storage Tray Pet Hair Strainer Summary Review -------------- Its a good kitchen companion if you do heavy cooking and have spills on the floor. Although it has the "Pet" word added to it, you do not need to have a pet to see how well it cleans the floor. It did an amazing job of cleaning my tiled kitchen floor. I now use it twice a week on the kitchen floor. Also, it does a good job on the wood floor, although i get a cleaning lady clean my house once a month, i do use this once a while on my wood floors Detailed Review ---------------- Pros ---- 1. Easy Assembly, almost usable right out of the box, just snap in the right pieces 2. Good maeuverability - this is important specifially when you have to clean the edges. 3. I think this does a good job vacumming and mopping at the same time. Thats why i had said that this works great on my kitchen floor (My wife's a messy cook, hopefully she does not read the review) 4. Good Suction - it can suck out the dust and water very well. So , no mop and pail stuff, this will do the job. 5. The water canister holds good amount of water to be able to mop about 1200 sqft with ease 6. Easy clean - its got a clean mode and it cleans the brushes. 7. Nice LED - its important to have light to know which spots require more cleaning Cons ---- 1. Propeitory rollers, not sure how long will they last. they will cost you about 15 bucks to replace. it looks like each ay last about 6 months (you have 2 of them) 2. its a tad expensive, at 300$, i think you should look for some deals 3. short cord - i would love to have a cord like some of the steam mops. 4. it comes with a small bottle of cleaner and if you are using it with water than just plan water, it might turn out to be costly. I substitute it with Bona

First, I have to say we are a larger family, mom, dad, 4 daughters and multiple pets. I deal with long hair all the time and real short from my one dog. When I first started using the Bissel Crosswave, it was working amazing, I went through 3 rooms and was pleasantly surprised. Here is what started to get me, no matter what, the brush would not let go of the long female hair, I could not get it clean enough and the performance suffered severely because of it. The first roller was basically(figured out a solution) trash within 3 hours, even after cleaning it many times. I switched to the backup roller, and was back to cleaning, for another 2 to 3 hours of use, same result. The vacuum does work well, and the carpeted floors felt cleaner and the hardwood floors looked new again. Assembly is easy, prepping to clean is super easy and I love the storage tray. Then, I finally find a way to clean the rollers after a few times using it, I had to break out the pressure washer after soaking it in resolve carpet cleaner. The pressure washer helped get the stuck in hair out. It makes me kinda love this vacuum again, now that I can actually get the rollers clean. Does it work? YES! it works fantastic, cleans very well. Why did you give it 4 stars? No vacuum in the world seems to work good with long human hair, so in my eyes, not vacuum or carpet cleaner will get 5 stars until I can clean my house and just empty a bag or container. I spent the last 3 weeks using this cleaner 4 times a week, and it was always the same result. I over tested it, I usually only used my last carpet cleaner every Sunday, but I wanted to push it. I will keep using it for now, hopefully Bissel comes out with a better replacement roller for this unit. Decent Job Bissel, just fix the rollers!

Very good at being both a vacuum and shampooing device. Does very good being a vacuum on dry seal wood floors, tiles and dense packed carpets but more difficult to vacuum thick soft carpets. I like it on wood floors and all type of tiles but cleanup of the brush roller and machine is a bit time consuming. With frequent use, cleanup of the device becomes quicker but still takes time. I feel a swiffer or swifter wet mop quicker to use and less time on cleaning the apparatus itself. It is mostly a plastic device but feels sturdy and being a multi purpose device, not overtly heavy. Easy to transport, very good cord length and on bare surfaces glides smoothly. Fluid spray is not excessive on tiles or wood floors and suction is excellent. The floor is dry depending on the solutions you use in under 5-6 minutes. No visible streaks on floors. On carpets that are not too thick and where the fibers are tightly packed, works well but can be difficult to glide once you apply the liquid solution. Drying is decent on this type of carpet, drys to feet in about 10-15 minutes. Mop and bucket can be back breaking and this is not...it is a must have for this reason. The true negative, not great on thick soft carpet fibers and unit cleaning is a bit tedious but you do get both a versatile vacuum device and shampoo device for all floors and densely packed carpets fibers. Setup is a breeze, less than 5 minutes, I used lukewarm to hot water as no built in water heater (not an issue). The filled solution on the device did my whole hall, various runners, kitchen rugs and the kitchen floor, and my living room floor with one container. I used both the included solution as well as other solutions from Mr. Clean to Murphy oil and so far the jets spray with no loss of spraying ability.

BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner is a strong force of cleaning and vacuuming. I personally enjoyed the mop as it was intended picking up pet stains. There are many features that make this vacuum worth your time. First off the design is nice with purple and silver to complement the design all the way through its certainly good looking but also small enough to handle with you everywhere. There is a tank that's easy to fill and use with fresh water and the solution that comes with it that smells nice I might add. BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro Vacuum and wash at the same time so it picks up things really fast. in fact, it makes the room spotless because the dog hair gets sucked up with the Tangle-free brush roll which Bissell is known for doing well with their pet products. it really does get the annoying pet hair up. It works on multiple surfaces which include sealed wood, Area rugs, Titles, and laminate so whatever floor you have this should work just fine, as I said before the vac is lightweight and enough to pick up and take with you where you need to go. The whole thing is easy to use and easy to clean Debris out of the tank. The last thing I want to talk about is the solution which smells wonderful. The smell kills pet smells very quickly and going with fabreeze was the best thing they could do. I cleaned corners with ease and got into spots I normally couldn't get in. I personally would recommend this to people with pets and those who want an all in one cleaning solution for pets. it's a great vac but I do feel like the cleaning solution might be costly in the long run the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner is a good vac that would keep your home clean and spotless with pets.

The BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner truly can clean hard floors and carpets/rugs. From my usage of the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner, I find it to be a better vacuum than a hard floor cleaner. Constructing the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner was as easy as inserting the handle and clean water tank and then plugging it in the wall outlet. Cleaning hard floors or carpets/rugs is controlled by simply pressing the two buttons on the handle. One is for floors and the other is for carpets/rugs. Tremendous dirt is picked up by the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner. When I emptied the dirty water tank, it was semi-muddy. The suction is strong on carpets and rugs and really pulls in the dirt. Cleaning takes time to take apart the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner and rinse out all of the pieces. I prefer rinsing the brush out by pressure washing, instead of using the rinse and storage tray. I noticed after my hard floor dried that the cleanliness did not look uniform. It appeared that some parts of the floor looked streaky or cleaner in certain areas. The BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner does not require floor rinsing so this might require thorough cleaning on dirtier floors. In spite of the few discrepancies, I still like the BISSELL - CrossWave Pet Pro All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner.

I received the Bissell cross-wave pet pro all-in-one multi-surface cleaner in a purple and silver color. The box came really damaged but the packing in the box kept the cross-wave safe from damage. In the box was the corded vacuum a rinse and clean out storage tray and accessories to assist in the cleaning, 2 bottles of a multi-surface pet formula with Febreze and 2 multi-surface pet brush rolls. A separate tank for the cleaning solution. Minus the minor shipping issue, the cross-wave comes with everything you need to do the job and clean the vacuum after use. The cross-wave is a tad bit on the heavy side, it is easy to push back and forth, the cord is a good length to get around a room. The book has the formula to load the cleaning solution with marks on the bottle to help you with filling it. The cross-wave is designed for you to be able to vacuum and using the cleaning solution to mop the floor or clean the carpet at the same time. It vacuums the mess and washes/mop the floor at the same time. It has a Febreze formula that you can spray the carpet with as you vacuum up the carpet. The trash bin is easy to remove and dump the trash. It picks up a lot the trash and pet hair I don't see anything left behind after you pass through it. It has a button set to tell what kind of surface you are using and a trigger for the solution. It's kind of the best of both worlds when cleaning up a mess. You don't have to use one thing then go and grab the other one after sweeping or vacuuming to wash the floor. I would suggest buying it.

The Bissell Crosswave is perfect for those who don’t like to mop (me). I love that the Crosswave vacuums and mops at the same time, doing two jobs at once. Also, it cleans the floor and sucks up the dirty water instead of moving it around like a mop. I have only used it on tile so far but they are noticeably cleaner after use. It doesn’t do a deep cleaning but it is as good as a mop and perfect for maintaining your floors. Beyond tile, it works with hard wood floors, laminate, and even area rugs! Clean up is a little involved; you run the Crosswave on its storage tray with water for a few seconds to clean the roller and intake, then you remove the waste tank, remove hair strainer, empty waste tank, rinse everything off and let air dry. Despite the steps involved, it is fairly easy and doesn’t take more then 5 minutes. I wish the waste tank was slightly larger, but I imagine that would of added unwanted bulk to the lightweight design. I am really pleased with the Crosswave and recommend it to those not just with pets but anyone who is looking for a better way to clean their floors!

The Bissel Crosswave multi-surface floor cleaner is easy to set up and easy to use. Cleaning a large ceramic tile kitchen floor is a breeze. Just select your floor surface type (hard floor or carpet), press the trigger to release the cleaning solution, and go. Release the trigger for vacuum only, to dry floors quickly. You may have to go over heavily soiled areas a second time. Pros: - The storage pan catches drips from the unit once you have finished cleaning. It also holds the funnel used to fill the cleaning solution tank. - The unit has a long cord, as well as a quick-release cord peg. - The Bissel is fairly quiet and emits less noise than a competitor's unit I have had for a couple of years. - Floors dry quickly if you run the unit over the area in vacuum only mode. Cons: - The two tanks are small, so for large areas you may need to empty the dirty water tank and refill the cleaning solution tank to finish the job. I give this unit at least a 4. It seems that none of the household units I have tested are truly heavy duty and capable of scrubbing the floor's grout clean. I will see how it performs on light carpet cleaning duties.

The good: Out of the box, this took little time to set up and get going. The brush picks up dog hair (and my hair) just fine and the vacuum does well with the loose dust and dirt. The scent of the cleaning solution is lightly floral, and not overpowering (keep in mind that I am not scent sensitive). I really like the convenience of moving from hard surface floors to area rugs. The not so good: The cleaner was not very effective on very dirty floors. The areas around where our garbage pail sits, our stove, and the floor under where our meals are prepped have all suffered from cleaning neglect. I expected to have to work at it even with the new Bissell, but the Bissell was pretty much a waste of time. This device might be the perfect thing for weekly (or daily) cleanliness maintenance, but expect that you will need a relatively clean floor to start out with. I would recommend this to friends who already have a regular cleaning routine. I would not recommend this to friends who clean only when it becomes obvious that they need to.

This thing does what it says. It’s one of the best purchases I’ve made in some time. We just moved in to a new build and there’s no grass in our backyard for our dog. Always muddy paw prints every week. This thing picks up and cleans all the muddy prints as well as our dog’s constant shedding all in one. The cleaner even smells great. We are one of three couples I know that bought this product and absolutely love it. If you’re going to choose the original one or the pet version, pick up the pet version even if you don’t have pets. There are a couple add on features that make this product better than the original. Well worth the money. Only down sides to the product is that it doesn’t pick up everything on the first swipe sometimes and cleaning it takes about ten minutes after you’re done. Well worth it if you have our problem because we would be sweeping and mopping anyways. Highly recommend!!
