BISSELL - MyAir 100 Sq. Ft . Personal Air Purifier - White The MyAir air filter is stated to be a personal 100 Sq. Ft. air filter. For this purpose I have set it up in the closest room to that size I have. The room size I have selected is 130 Sq. Ft. and is about the closest I believe anyone would have, this is a normal size bedroom. It has a night light, but it’s so bright that it completely lights up the room in a nice blue light. It has a timer that is very nice to be able to set it to run for 1, 4, or 8 hours, or don’t set it at all and it just runs continuously. There are 3 speeds, Sleep, Low, and High. The control panel is a very nice touch panel. It is small in size so it doesn’t take up much room. Keep in mind, this is an air filter, not a fan, it’s output air can not be directed anywhere but up. The filter is easily replaced and is stated to last up to 3 months. It has a filter reminder to let you know when it should be replaced. Replacement filters at the time of this writing are $15.99 and are available on the internet just about everywhere, including BestBuy. Bissell states the filter is a high efficiency carbon filter, it filters down to .3 microns but is not a HEPA filter. Some of the other sources for the replacement state the filter life is 6 months, not sure if that’s a typo. The stated sound levels could not be reproduced. It is very quiet on sleep and low, but high is very loud. Sleep is 41 dB, not noticeable at all. Low is only 44 dB, again unless you are listening for it you wont notice. High is 66 dB, very loud, almost drowns out a full size fan. Bissell’s statement is 30 – 46 dBa. Since dBa is subjective I have measured in just dB, in a quiet room. The first 2 measurements 41 dB, and 44 dB, are hardly above the quiet room noise. Air flow is 137 ft/min on sleep, 216 ft/min on low, and 492 ft/min on high. All measured directly from the exhaust vent. This would be a great filter if it had a HEPA insert. The filter insert they are using seems to meet the HEPA standards but they say it is not a HEPA filter. I’m guessing having it tested to HEPA standards would drive the price up. As it stands it is a good filter, filtering down to what a high end AC filter does. If you have a room that has a litter box, or just a room that seems to need extra cleaning because of dust, this could be your answer.

Hi have never own an air purifier because I just didn't see the need to. I don't get bad allergies and I feel like our house air is for the most part clean, but I had heard that it helped people sleep better so I decided to try it out. And people aren't lying! Our dog sleeps in his bed in our room, so I decided to put this in the our bedroom and have noticed the air feels improved. This air purifier is a bit big in size, but the thing I enjoy the most is the different levels of output. I usually leave the night mode when sleeping because it makes little to no noise. If you have pets and just want your air in your house/bedroom to feel more pure when breathing it in this thing will help with that. I recommend it!

    Nice Little Purifier

As far as air purifiers goes, this one is pretty standard. While there are no major flaws about this purifier, it also does not have outstanding features that separate it from the rest. However, that does not mean it's not worth considering it over the others. For starters, this purifier packs quite a few quality of life things that make it pleasure to use. It is small and not an eye sore. It looks like something that would blend well in any home/office. The low/sleep speed settings of the unit is no louder than a computer on idle. The light is a nice touch. It shines through the bottom of the unit so there are not annoying bright spots when sitting next to it. Additionally, the filter is interchangeable, allowing you to wash/replace it at will. The price of the filter is around $15, as listed on BISSELL's site. From my experience of using this purifier, I do feel that the air does feel fresher. For context, I put this in my office, and it's been running daily without issues. While I wouldn't expect much from this, the 100 sq. ft. claim seems pretty fair. The low/sleep speed settings are very move little air, and there is a high setting. However, in my opinion, it is way too loud. It is equivalent to sitting next to a hair dryer, almost. Overall, I am quite happy with this purifier. It does what it's advertised to and I have no complaints so far.

The Bissell MyAir purifier is a great option for anyone looking to cleanse the air in a smaller room. The simple setup and ease of use are big selling points, as are the HEPA filtration and activated carbon filter. The purifier has no associated app or smart connection; all the controls are directly on the unit, including the light switch, the speed settings (of which there are three: high, low, sleep), and the timer settings. This no frills approach comes with some downsides, though. There's no auto setting, because there's no detection mechanism; whereby some units will actively monitor the air and kick on if they detect poor air quality, the MyAir is completely manually operated. Additionally, the noise level between the low and high settings is quite great; where some units have the ability to more granularly adjust the speed (and by extension the noise), this unit does not, though it does include a sleep mode which is great for anyone that wants to run the unit at night. Overall, the unit is very effective, though, providing both air filtration and odor reduction, which I confirmed by using in our cat's bathroom. If you're looking for an affordable, easy to use air purifier, I'd recommend this one.

    Great Bissell Product

I have this product on the counter between my kitchen and family room and it works really well. We have 1 cat that sheds and I constantly vacuum the family room. So very simple to use after you insert the filter and find it a home! This is amazing at grabbing the dust particles from the air and the cat fur that gets away and into the air. I've also really enjoyed it in the kitchen with odors that are a little strong - like the meatloaf I overcooked ;-) It is really quiet on low and a little loud on the high mode. I will run it on the high mode for a few hours and then drop it to low and we don't even know it is on. I love the nightlight portion too! The one negative I have is that the filter is not a washable filter and replacement costs are around $16.00. Would love to have the option to wash and reuse instead.

So Quiet, You’ll Forget It’s There

I’ve owned a couple air purifiers, and while they did what they’re supposed to, they couldn’t hold a candle to my new Bissell purifier. The MyAir has a very premium, well-built look and feel. Setting it up was quick and easy: just remove the plastic around the filter and plug it in! What I love the most about the MyAir (other than how well it does to reduce the dust/dander in the air in our bedroom) is just how quiet it is while running. We keep the fan speed at low and forget it’s there. With our old purifier, it’s fan would ramp up if anyone walked by (and it was so loud!), but the MyAir stays silent. There are three fan speeds: sleep, low, and high. When you first power it on, it has a very soft, blue glowing light at the base of the unit. I really like it, but if you don’t like it, you can quickly turn it off with the touch of a button on the top of the unit. The filter is quite large, so combined with its size and Bissell’s reputation, the MyAir should do an excellent job of keeping dust/dander out of the air. Bissell’s website recommends changing the filter every three months or so, depending on your environment. The filters are a very reasonable price and easy to order online. Overall, I’m quite happy with the MyAir. If you’re looking to finally buy an air purifier, or need to replace an old one, I would HIGHLY recommend that you consider buying the MyAir.

This air purifier has delivered more than what was promised. It’s so quiet and when dusting the room after using the purifier, there is a noticeable difference. If you’re normally affected by dust or allergies, this will help.

Great For a Small At-Home Office!

I've been looking for a replacement for my current device since it wasn't doing the job I need, even though it had a HEPA filter and this product doesn't. The MyAir turned out to be just what I needed. I work from home and sometimes eat in my office as well does one of my cats almost daily. The smell of both our foods tend to linger and candles or scent sprays only temporarily fix the problem. Since turning on this unit not only have I noticed the clean air but my wife especially too. No longer does she walk in saying "this room smells!" which is thanks to the included carbon layer in the filter I'm sure. Pet dander is also an issue for me and over the years I have become more allergic to it. Because of the time both my cats spend in my office with me I'm usually more congested or sneeze often in the room. So far, I no longer have felt these problems since. I usually avoid products with filters and go for something I can just clean and reuse but considering the multi-layer filter actually works, it having a notice light on the display telling you when to change the filter and the price of replacement filters being reasonable, the overall effectiveness and convenience makes it worth it. I guess HEPA filters really aren't always essential. While it's only been a little more than a week and difficult to say for sure, I do feel like less dust is culminating on my desk/items than usual as well. Of course it being an office full of electronics it's like a magnet so I'm constantly vacuuming and dusting so hopefully it continues to help. Overall the air really does just feel fresher. The only major disappointment is although the unit is quiet in low power mode, it sounds no different than sleep mode to me. I wish the low power was at a speed faster/stronger than it is now but slower than high. It feels more like there is only 2 speeds as opposed to 3. I would think the cleaning strength is higher the faster/harder the unit is working which is why I feel this is an issue. The only other issue I found, although minor, is the display is very dark and hard to see. Additionally, the nightlight is tied to the backlight in the display meaning you can only have both the nightlight and the full button display on or both off which is a weird oversight. The only light on the display that stays on is the nightlight button even when the light is not in use. A whole display backlight that stays on, even if it was dimmer, would had made more sense to me. PROS: * Triple layer filter including carbon which is essential for reducing odor. * Scheduling time-off feature. * Quiet on the slower speeds (just a "white noise"). * Nightlight is an added bonus. CONS: * Display only lights up with nightlight on making it hard to see buttons. * Sleep mode and low power mode seem like they have no discernible difference.

    Great little air purifier

The BISSELL - MyAir 100 Square Foot Personal Air Purifier is a great little air purifier that does a surprisingly good job of noticeably cleansing the air in the room I decided to use it in. I put it in a bedroom that has always had what seems to be the worst circulation in the house and a slight odor that is different from everywhere else. After setting it up and leaving it running on the low setting for a while, I remembered to check on the unit and the bedroom to see if I could notice any sort of difference and was surprised by how much cleaner the air felt and smelled. It is difficult to explain but I could certainly tell the purifier was definitely doing something beneficial in the room. Setup was a breeze and I really like how there are multiple settings (high, low, and sleep) as well as a nice soft blue light that acts as more of a night light rather than a direct light designed to light up a room but if you don’t want any light on at all, that isn’t a problem since it can be completely turned off as well. Overall, the BISSELL - MyAir 100 Square Foot Personal Air Purifier is a great air purifier and I highly recommend it!

This Bissel Air Purifier is a very simple machine, and that's not a bad thing. The time to set-up the purifier took less than 2 minutes. There are very simple touch buttons on top to set fan speed, timer, and nightlight. I have it constantly running at the low fan speed and it is quiet. If you set it high, then it does sound like a mini jet engine. Overall, for someone who would like cleaner air in a small space, then this Bissel is a great choice.

After receiving this Air Purifier. I put it in a place between my kitchen and living room. I have it always on low and it makes a difference as most of the smell I used to get in the house from cooking are no longer there. It keeps my house smelling better than I thought it would. The filter is good for 3months or so depending on how you use it and not very expensive or hard to replace
