I love this vacuum!! I have two dogs and it picks up their. Hair no problem! The extra tools are also amazing!!!

This is a very good vacuum for the price. We own a dog and it really works without tangling the hairs in the vacuum.

I have 4 dogs and 1 cat (2 pugs and 2 hound mixes and a Himalayan cat) and they all shed. We have hardwood floors and area rugs that the dogs love sleeping on leaving lots of hair and there are certain times of the year when they shed so bad that I have to vacuum almost 3 times a day. Because of all this shedding I always have 2 vacuums on hand, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. I have hardwood floors and only area rugs so I initially bought a small hoover vacuum which worked well sucking up hair balls and removing the hair on the furniture. Because I vacuumed a lot I one of the vacuums stopped working so I purchased the dyson pet vacuum because it was on sale. I heard good things about the dyson so I could not wait to use it. After the first few times I did not like it so I started to look at other pet vacuums. I came across the Bissell pet hair eraser through a friend and she swore by it so I tried it out at her house before getting it. For an upright vacuum compared to the dyson I own, the Bissell is lighter. The quick release wand and pet attachments make this a pet owners dream. I love the pet turbo eraser tool for the furniture and the crevice tool for the stairs and corners. This is a must have vacuum for all pet owners because it is quiet so it does not scare the pets and I would say that it removes a lot of the hair during the first pass. The only negative is I wish the vacuum adjusts automatically when using on different rug piles. You have to manually adjust the vacuum according to carpet height. I gave this only 4 stars because of the weight compared to my small hover but it is lighter than my Dyson. Overall I love this vacuum.

We have 4 cats and a small dog, so there's a substantial amount of hair in our house. I specifically chose this vacuum over Hoover's pet-specific model because of the adjustable brush height, since we have medium/long pile carpet. It works beautifully on the carpet. Not so good on bare floor, but I don't really see the point of using a vacuum on bare floor, I sweep instead. This works great for what I need it for and I'm very happy with it.

The vacuum worked as advertised. It picked up the hair with little effort and is a good value.

Old house+Cats=lots of dust. This Bissell Pet Hair Vacuum takes care of all my issues easily. It works very well on all surfaces, from the hardwood floors to tile to area rugs. It is so easy to empty too- no digging in the canister for clumps of cat hair like with my old Dyson. This was a great replacement for my old vacuum, and seems to be very well made. It is a little on the heavy side, but it does the job and my house looks great!
