This sweeper works great on carpet and flat floors. It picks up all the pet hair and leaves the room smelling good. It is so easy to empty and clean.

Yes you heard right; the perfect vacuum to replace my Dyson. I had the first generation of Dyson vacuum, which I thought was genius when they first started coming out with cyclone canisters. The Pet Eraser maintains that standard of clean while being half to a quarter of the cost. It swivels like the Dyson ball without having a ball. It cleans my house just fine, and I love the flashlight on the tube for cleaning under my couch and finding all the dog toys that got pushed under! Absolutely no problems here keeping my house clean. Feels solid and won't break.

Great with pet hair very easy to use. Don't over pay for a dyson. Had one of those before no better than any other vacuum I had

The blurb for this states "Nothing puts a vacuum to the test quite like a home with pets." Well, I have a lot of dogs and I can with absolute certainly say in reply, "You're certainly right!!!" I had high hopes for this vac, but it only lasted about a year. Same as the long line of other vacs I've bought in my quest for 'The One' They all lasted about a year. As a regular vacuum cleaner, it's fine, but it's promoted as being the dust-bunny slaying answer to a dog lover's prayers. So, I'm holding it to a different standard. Sorry, but it's just average in my experience.

the vacuum works really well on hair. I have 5 cats, don't judge, and the vacuum really does pick up all the hair that accumulates on the floor, furniture, fixtures, etc... HOWEVER it is not very good for dirt and cat litter. I don't know, it just doesn't sit low enough to the ground or the bristles just don't pick it up. I'm not entirely sure but it just does not pick up dirt very well at all. Still though, the best vacuum by far for the hair which is why I still recommend it.

I got this due to having 2 dogs and other animals in my house. It does a great job in sucking up all the nasty stuff from the carpet. I would have to say it’s the nicest vacuum I have ever owned and I hope it last a while.

This vacuum is awesome, it does a great job of picking up Everything including my hair. But the brush is wonderful in that my hair does not get tangled in it at all.

Have a golden retriever & 2 cats and this vacuum does what it promises when it comes to pet fur. Very easy to use.

My wife and daughters all have long hair and we were replacing the roller on our precious vacuum cleaner annually for about $30 no matter how often it the hair was clipped off. So far this one has not had hair to wrap around the roller. It does swivel where the body and head meet which makes it a little hard to use since the body is a little heavier. You definitely can't let go of it to pick something up without stopping and clicking it into its upright position.

This vacuum really pulls the hair out of the carpet. Moved smoothly and isn't overly heavy. The lighted crevice tool is awesome.

This vacuum is a must for pet owners, it comes with a Febreze filter so after you are done vacuuming there is no pet odor. It collects all of the hair and dirt. It even works well on the tile or wood floor.

Vacuums very well, the only con is the heaviness of the vacuum. Wish it self propelled and it would be perfect.

Picks up way more then my last extremely noise vacuum. Great at picking up cat hair as well as everything else.

It is very heavy, much heavier than any vacuum I've ever owned! I like the ease of emptying it out, and it seems to work pretty good on carpet, but it does not work well in our kitchen (which has tile floor). Even when we change the setting for flat vs carpet floor. Thinking of returning if it's not too late, for $250 it should work better.

My wife did professional house cleaning for many years and knows 'clean' and knows an effective vacuum when she uses one. Also, we have two small / medium sized, short haired dogs that BOTH LOVE attention, which leads to a LOT of shed fur in the carpets. We had a Eureka cannister that worked ok but developed a persistent odor. It's amazing how the dogs start to smell like the vacuum. We were looking for a change, something that would be easier to clean out and more effective. We read reviews (actually my wife did most of that), and decided to give the Bissell a try. It really does live up to the hype. It does a really great job of getting the dog hair and everything else out of the carpet that shouldn't be there. The cannister removes easily for cleaning. The filter element is very easy to access and change. The Febreze scented filter, although gimmicky at first blush, really does work well. So far we have not had to removed hair from the brush roller. The stair attachment is great as well. Tools storage is also well planned and effective There are ONLY a couple of things that we might change if we had a choice. The wand handle, when used for attachments, is not very long, but it does work well. Also, we do miss the telescoping handle that we had on our cannister, but that isn't a show stopper. Wrap up cord storage is typical for an upgright and the power cord is very generous in length. Overall the vacuum gets really high marks. The price point was perfect for the quality of the vacuum. We've only had it a couple of months, so we can't attest to the overall reliability yet. However, if our initial experience is any indicator, it will prove to be a welcome and frequently used addition to our cleaning closed.

Between my dog and my wife and daughter, there’s a lot of hair laying around. This vacuum does a great job taking the hair away w/our rapping around the brushes.

Great suction , light , easy to clean the stairs with the tools. The freshener is definitely a plus
