Easy to empty and the vacuum itself works great for pet owners. Only Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that after a few months of use, the handle started to break, and I've since had to order a replacement. The handle is junky, perhaps to make the vacuum lighter or simply cheaper.

We needed a vacuum that could deal with four, long haired people. Our last vacuum clogged almost every time we used it and we were constantly cutting hair off the bar. This vacuum had a no scissors guarantee, and so far, it hasn’t clogged or had to have a haircut, so we are very happy with it!

My last two vacuums have been canister styles but I decided to try an upright this time. I have three cats in my home & this vacuum picks up cat hair from deep in the carpet fibers. I am always surprised at the amount in the dirt canister to be emptied and my carpet looks brighter I cleaner after each vacuuming.

If you have dogs or cats, this vacuum will be your new best friend. This vacuum has great suction. I have used this vacuum many times and have yet to find a single pet hair in the brush when I am done, and I have three large dogs that shed a ton of hair. Best of all emptying the canister and cleaning sweeper are a breeze!

Seems to do a great job on pet hair and haven't had to clean pet hair off the brush yet. Nwe'd more time to see about cleaning though. Our Dyson developed a smell after awhile and no matter how much we cleaned it. Still had a smell when it ran. Hopefully this one doesn't, but time will tell.

So, I had my doubts about this vacuum. I own a Dyson Cinetic Animal as well as the Shark Navigator and I have tried numerous other vacuums...none of them could handle my multiple dog household. I almost did not buy this as it only has an 8 amp motor, and most decent vacuums have 12 amps, but I am so glad I did. This vacuum gets the job done! I love the attachments as well and the vacuum is easy to use. You do still get pet hair trapped around the cylinder...but it easily unscrews to remove it...unlike my Dyson that I have to dismantle to remove clogs. The only reason I am rating this as 4 stars is because it really needs an extension wand for spot cleaning....that is truly the only flaw I could find with this vacuum. I just hope it holds up well over time.

Love this vacuum cleaner. The only thing it doesn't have that I wish it had as a button to autowind the cord. It does a great job cleaning all the variable heights of flooring that I have. It's very easy to maneuver around furniture. Helps me keep the house clean with a grown dog and new puppy!

After reading online and talking to people at 2 different stores, this was recommended to us cause of our pets. Works really well. One downside, no extra tube for cleaning stuff like roof corners and such, but everything about it outweighs that. Easy to dump. Easy to change filter without getting dirty.

I have had a Dyson Pet / Animal, and highly disappointed with it. I looked on line and read the reviews of the Bissel pet. Don't hesitate if you have a pet, this is the best vac ever. Its not heavy like people say, but I like to vac the house and the weight of a good cleaner. Many great features

We have been looking for vacuums for some time. We couldnt quite but a fingure on it whether to spend so much on a fancy dyson or look around. While on vacation at our resort we say a commercial on tv displaying the vacuum vs a dyson. It showed how it picked up pet hair. As an animal control officer for 3 cities i know issues with pet hair IT GETS EVERYWHERE. Anyhow i was really impressed so when we got back from vacation we decided to get ourselves an early Christmas gift as we own a little chihuahua who likes to shed. My wife was the first to try it and she called me at work in excitement on how AMAZING IT WAS when she cleaned the house. Sure enough when i can home after work the couches had no hair and she notice the vacuum made the house smell clean. She then showed me the vacuum contained a febreeze pack i believe that made the air purified and smell great. I then vacuum my work clothes so i dont spred all over the house again. But non the less we were truely amazed with this vacuum thanks for a great product. You kept the pet in mind

Love it so far, cleans well without sounding like a jet engine. The bad things hose isn't very long, it diesn't have a certain attachment that I can't remember the name for, and is a bit on the heavy side. The cord is nice and long and the pet attachments are awesome.

Great price! My son has had his previous Xbox 1 for at least 5 years. So they are well made!!

best vacuum for the price range. my children can easily operate and clean up after themselves.

This is an excellent vacuum cleaner for collecting my cat hair. My only complaint is with the internal cyclone part of the tank. My is locked into place and I cannot remove it to fully clean the tank. I have contacted Bissell about this problem to see if the issue can be resolved.

Salesman was very helpful in reviewing all my choices. Since I have 3 small dogs and 4 cats (all shed despite being brushed every day) I needed something strong with big capacity. This vacuum works perfectly for me. Salesman was very helpful: I had at least a million questions.

The vacuum does exactly what all it states it does. With 4 kids and a large dog I needed a heavy duty vacuum and thankfully that's what I got! It's very easy to manunver around furniture and easy to empty. We are very happy with our purchase.

Works very well for carpet but the settings needs to be lower for floors.

I had the same vacuum for 10 years and finally decided to try this vacuum and retire the old one. I love it! It works so well and it is so easy to use. It works wonders on the steps and it's super quite compared to my last one. The kids don't plug their ears. Great purchase!

This vacumm I got because I have pets and I needed something to pick up the hair. It does that job but it's abut heavy to use on the stairs. The container gets a stuck if too much hair gets in it.

This vacuum has been by far the most effective when it comes to picking up dog hair.
