I previously bough the Dyson V6 ANIMAL, the Dyson is a GREAT vacuum but the hair and small particles get "stuck" at the bottom of the tank and it makes it extremely difficult to empty it. The tank of t he Bissell - Pet Hair Eraser is extremely easy to empty and hair doesn't get stuck, I like the fact that is bagless and I feel that the suction power is the same as Dyson, although I also feel that the Dyson is a little more powerful (no difference really though). The Dyson is cordless but the battery is not that great (you can do up to 2 small rooms per charge, no more!) and although I am not a fan of the cord, is a trade worth it not to deal with the battery of the V6. Also keep in mind that the Dyson is definitely lighter than the Bissell, but again you trade one thing for another. If you have big rooms, get the Bissell instead of the V6, if you live in a small/medium apartment the Dyson Animal should work for you.

Omg this thing is amazing, I'm amazed every time I use it and I see how much hair and dirt picks up from my carpet. I used to have a commercial heavy duty one and I have to say this one is way better.

Purchased after older vacuum went out. Recently got a dog that sheds...a lot. This thing picks up more dog hair than our previous. Set up is easy and quick. Disposal is effortless. Just make sure you have the height for carpet set correctly.

Lightweight. Easy to maneuver. Transitions from bare floor to carpet easily. Does a great job of picking up pet hair. (We have a black lab and a long haired cat). Tools are easy to access and use. I like the scented filter option. No doggie smell after vacuuming.

This is a great vacuum for pet hair. We have one cat that sheds non-stop and this vacuum has no issues sucking up all of the pet hair. The handle tool works wonders for pet hair on the couch and bed. One swipe and it's all gone. Great value. .

The sweeper looks like it's very solid with good build quality.

Performs as advertised. So glad to see a multi surface vacuum that has a strong deep suction on our area rugs and with a simple turn of a knob can clean the hardwoods too. No pet hair tangled up in the roller and a truly clean canister after dumping.

This is a great lightweight vac for even a multi pet household. The handle attachment always picks up whatever pet hair comes it's way easily. The dirt basket is hands free emptying which works like a charm. And the spinning brush has yet to get snarled up!

Our previous vacuum really sucked... in that it wouldn't suck dust off a flat floor, much less get a carpet clean. Well this new Bissel we got really SUCKS the stuff right up! We have several small hall carpets and door carpets over top wall to wall, and they are a tight weave rug. Cat hair was seemingly forever in them. I took a half hour each previously to "rub in scrub" them to get the hair loose and then vacuum it up. Well this new one simply sucked them clean up to where they look new! Heck yeah!! And the deep pile wall to wall carpets filled the canister! Now we're properly sucking these rugs clean! Happy with it so far after a month or so and several house cleanings.

I've only used my vacuums a couple times so far, but I've actually enjoyed vacuuming and have felt very satisfied after. I have a large, fluffy dog, and I have very long hair. Thus, there's a lot of hair in my apartment. This vacuum hasn't jammed up or twisted up with my hair yet. That's one of the reasons why I got it. It's super easy to empty. I like the Febreeze filter. It smells good after I vacuum. It was a little more money than I was aiming to spend, but I wanted something that could handle my dog and me. I had a basic dirt devil before, and it could NOT handle me or my dog. The only thing I wish it had was one of those automatic cord roll-up things, but alas, it does not. I have to twist it with my hands. Out of all the things, that's okay with me. In sum, I am very pleased with this vacuum.

This is great, very efficient vaccume for pet owners. I was amazed at the amount of dog hair it picked up, shortly after using our old vaccume. It's very light as well. The pivot action allows it to get into tight areas between and around furniture.

this vacuum picks up pet hair from the floors and with the attached hose and pet hair tool it is great on furniture as well. great suction and very easy to move around furniture great on bare floors as well

I like the Bissell pet hair eraser but it is hard to maneuver and a bit heavy. The cord also tends to get in the way and I feel like I'm going to run over it. Suction seems pretty powerful though which is good for cat hair.

A more economical vacuum to buy than others. Works as well for less money than a dyson and shark. I've had both of those. I have 3 lg.dogs that all she'd a lot of hair all year . I highly recommend this vacuum.

I was sickened by how much dirt and hair this got up vs our Kirby..... I can't believe we paid that much for a Kirby and it wasn't getting it fully clean! (Yes I vacuumed with this new one after using the Kirby). best vacuum purchase ever!
