My wife & I share our 5,000 square foot home with 3) adult rescued cats & 1) bird. One cat is senior & another has sensitive stomach. Between the 2, we are guaranteed to have a mess to clean up every night. We had 2) today. Until now, we would bring out the large steam cleaner every time, and depending on which of the 3) floors is involved, this meant carrying the 20+ # steamer up or down the stairs. My wife & I are both Seniors, so this is a real burden. Spot cleaning has not worked in the past, and has set stains more often than make them disappear. Neither of us had high expectations for the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser - simply because we have been cleaning up the difficult way for so long, we did not believe a simpler way existed. Thankfully, we were wrong!! I removed the Pet Stain Eraser from the box, and within an hour, a cat obliged us with an opportunity to use it! It was a "Here goes nothing" moment. Filled it with the included bottle of BISSELL® Professional Spot & Stain + Oxy Formula - Portable Cleaners. Plugged in the power supply & waited for the 3 blue bars. We turned it on, pressed the fluid spray on the target & rubbed it with the brush. The stain disappeared! Figured it might reappear in the morning. It didn't - in fact, it looked even better & was completely gone! See the 2) Before & After photos that show the results! Next we tried an old area rug that had more pet stains than we could count - and some have been on it for 10 years! The steamer had not removed the stains, but had sanitized the rug. We applied the same technique described earlier, and the rug came out looking new. Waited 3 days later before reporting this - it STILL looks new!! This sold us!! This little tool is a Miracle Worker on Pet Stains!! Tonight I bought several 32 ounce BISSELL® Professional Spot & Stain + Oxy Formula - Portable Cleaners because we have already used up the 2) 6 ounce bottles that were included. Here are detailed observations: LIKES: 1- Lightweight 2- Removable fill tank, "dirty" tank & brush 3- Inexpensive (compared to a strong steamer, especially) 4- Small; easy to store 5- Attractive product 6- Lithium-iON Battery holds a charge for 15 minutes - more than enough to erase a number of stains 7- 4 Hour charging time 8- Easy to use 9- Fast! Clean-up takes 2 minutes, start to finish 10- IT REALLY WORKS!! DISLIKES: 1- Would pay extra for a holster to hang it on the wall; this is a tool that has to sit around or be placed in a drawer. We use it daily; a wall holster would be so handy. CONCLUSION: The Bissell Pet Stain Eraser REALLY WORKS!! It earned my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!

This review is for the Bissel Pet Stain Eraser. Please forgive me if I get a little graphic in my description of what I used the Eraser to clean up, but I need to so that you can have a thorough understanding of how effective this little machine is. First, it came boxed up very well so that all the parts were safe and secure inside the box. The model I got comes standard with a brush and two bottles of Bissel’s stain remover. I think there is another model that comes standard with the brush and an attachment for cleaning windows which, of course, is slightly more expensive. That attachment is like a little “squeegee” with a sponge on the other side that is used to scrub the widow before removing the cleaning solution, sort of like cleaning a car windshield. I have three cats and the female who is 14 years old is part Maine Coon and part long hair mixed. She gets fur balls from cleaning her beautiful, long fur and occasionally vomits wherever she happens to be. That usually is on a carpet somewhere in the house. The other day she had eaten a whole pile of cat crunchies and later after the crunchies had partially digested, she vomited on our downstairs carpet. It consisted of two piles of tan, semi-digested crunchies on a light blue carpet. It apparently had been there for a few hours before I discovered it, so the liquid portion had plenty of time to soak into the carpet. I went and got the Pet Stain Eraser, some paper towels, and a plastic bag. I cleaned off the solids with the towels and soaked up some of the fluid as well. Now I was ready to really clean the spots. Normally I would have sprayed a retail carpet spot remover from the grocery store and let it sit for five minutes. Then I would have taken a damp sponge and rubbed and rubbed, rewet the sponge and then do it all again 3 or 4 times and finally hope that when it all dried it would look OK. I don’t think I have ever been able to get a stain out completely. The Bissel Pet Stain eraser is cordless. It takes a few hours to charge it up initially which I did immediately after removing it from the box. There is a light gauge which enables you to monitor the remaining power and when it’s fully charged. The directions which came with it are very easy to follow, providing a precise, step by step order from charging to cleanup. There is nothing to have to “put together”; it is fully assembled. There is a small tank under the handle which holds the cleaning solution which you must fill. A trigger under the handle enables you to spray the solution on the stain. You wait five minutes and then turn on the vacuum. You apply moderate pressure while pulling the front of the machine over the stain to suck out the cleaning solution. It works pretty much the same way a large commercial cleaner would do. What I really liked about it is the small holes in the nozzle which enable the vacuum to really concentrate the pulling force. The vacuum provides very adequate suction and it does the trick for sure. When done you dump out the dirty water by removing the tank underneath and then run clean water to clean it and put it back on. You take the nozzle off, rinse it out and replace it. Refill the solution tank, then plug the charger in so it is ready for the next job. I think it took me 15 minutes to clean up the basement stain and maybe 5 minutes to clean the Eraser. I think the charge would last at least 20-25 minutes before needing recharged. That doesn’t seem like very long, but the vacuum is really applying suction at a strained pace. It is far more stress than a normal vacuuming job. The Eraser does what it was designed to do. It eliminated the stain created by the semi-digested cat crunches. I have no doubt it would also work on a coffee stain. I am impressed with the quality of this device and the Bissel cleaning formula. The Pet Stain Eraser can do what I had never been able to do without a commercial cleaner or even a stand-up home carpet cleaner. There is no cord to get in the way; it is ready to go when I need it; it saves me a lot of time and energy; and it does a great job. I give this product five stars. If you have ever had to clean any stains on your carpets or furniture (it would be difficult to use a big carpet cleaner on a sofa or chair) you should own this machine and experience how effective it is.

Living in a house with both a dachshund, a breed of dog notorious for their selective housetraining, and a cat who as she gets older has begun to express her displeasure through urine I've gotten a fair amount of experience cleaning up accidents the old fashioned way. When I saw that someone had actually built a device for the task, I was cautiously optimistic. The best I was really expecting was something that might save me on paper towels. As it turns out, I was wrong. Not only does it save you on paper towels, it's faster and more effective than the traditional method of using a spray bottle and a stiff brush. The instructions are very simple. You turn it on, pull the trigger to spray a thin sheet of cleaning solution onto the carpet, use the built in brush to work it into the fibers a bit (They deserve extra points for the design of that, by the way, as the brush lets you use the weight of the unit to give you a bit of extra oomph to the scrubbing) and then pull the vacuum back and watch as it sucks up all the cleaning solution and brings the mess with it. I've tested it on urine, vomit, spilled makeup, and just plain dirt that had been tracked into the carpet, and it handled all of them, even on stains that were months old. I don't think I could have gotten any better results with a carpet cleaner. That said, it should be pointed out that this is definitely a small appliance for small messes. The battery lasts about as long as it takes to empty the onboard tank for cleaning solution, and that tank is not very big. I emptied it out in the space of an afternoon helping a friend clean out their carpet after they moved. Also cleanup can be a little tricky at times, as the thing tends to suck up a fair bit of fur and hair as well which can get caught in the drain or the intakes. But all in all, you still spend much less time with it than you would with traditional methods, and it's certainly cheaper than a full size carpet shampooer! I'd recommend this to anyone going through housetraining without reservation.

I have three dogs, one of which is old and she pees in the house quite often, and I have a toddler and a 10 month old who likes to spit up everywhere. Before I got this I would have to drag out my full size carpet cleaner, unwind the cord, plug it in and then do the reverse to put it away. This little bissell is a time saver! Now I can just grab this little guy and hit the spot on the carpet nearly right after the mess hits the floor, either by the dog or the baby and just like that its gone....like it never happened. It really is an eraser as it's name implies. When I first got this I think my dog noticed the box and wanted me to try it out. No sooner than I had it unhooked from the (about 4 hour) charger did she decide to go potty on the carpet. I quickly swooped into action by grabbing the bissell and heading to the spot on the carpet. I powered it on and immediatly it sucked up the liquid, then I sprayed some of the included oxy pet treatment (that is pre-mixed by the way) and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I sucked it all up and watched the liquid move up the clear suction path. This thing has been working overtime too. I have cleaned up no less then 10 different spots, mostly from the baby spitting up and the charge still says its full. No worries about it running out soon either, it simply shows no sign of slowing down. Clean up is a breeze as well. You can pull the tank out, remove the clear liquid path where it sucks up the mess, remove the catch tank underneath, but you do have to hold that a certain way so it won't leak out, and also you can remove the stiff bristles with a quick release tab. I am very impressed with this little guy, I almost can't wait for the next mess to clean up...almost.

The description of this device is misleading - it isn't really a "Bagless Cordless Hand Vac" - it is surely bagless and cordless but it is more of a small upholstery cleaner than a vacuum - it sprays a cleaning liquid onto a carpet or fabric and then extracts the dirty fluid (and the stain). Just like my larger Bissell upholstery cleaner, it has separate containers for clean and dirty fluids - but the smaller size makes it VERY convenient for smaller spills and stains. And although Bissell is advertising this unit as a "Pet Stain Eraser," the capacity of the reservoir for extracted fluid probably wouldn't suffice for a urine stain from a larger dog (that's why I got the larger Bissell a while back). But the design on this smaller Bissell is great - most importantly it is incredibly easy to dismantle and clean. It charges quickly and extracts fluids very efficiently. The only thing I dislike about the unit is that it sprays the cleaning fluid from the top of the device rather than from below (I would have preferred that the cleaning spray be directed closer to the point of extraction). I'm also not fond of Bissell hawking its "premixed cleaning formula to reduce setup time" - mixing concentrated cleaner with water isn't something that is normally eating away at my time - surely Bissell will be making a killing on the markup for their premixed solutions. I will admit, though, that the cleaning solution that came with this device has a pleasant scent that leaves fabric smelling clean but not perfumed - but I would prefer to purchase it as a concentrate. Again: I guess this Bissell could be used as a small handheld vacuum but it is not designed to extract dirt and dust without soaking it in liquid first (the collection chamber is not designed so that you can empty solid dirt from it). This is a very useful handheld upholstery cleaner and it works quite well as such.

    Terrible design

I bought this with high hopes but have wound up frustrated and irritated at the poor design. The machine does what it says; it cleans up pet messes fairly well. However, the design of the machine is terrible. It comes with a tiny tank to hold cleaning solution (expensive cleaning solution). I've found that even a basic, small pet mess takes at least one full tank of cleaner. The tank drips so I've tried to fill it in a sink to minimize the mess. However, the body of the machine is fairly large, making this nearly impossible. I've read and re-read the directions and it appears I'm doing everything correctly yet the problem persists. I usually pre-treat the stain and let it sit. There are bristles on the bottom of the machine that allow you to work at the stain. I've never found this to be very effective but it did manage to ruin a spot on a wool rug. The machine then sucks the solution and the mess up through the vacuum. It's nice to have a window so you can tell when the carpet is dry. It has also been fairly effective at cleaning up the messes we've had. Emptying the tank is THE WORST design ever. I'm a laid back person but I find myself swearing the stupid thing every single time I have to empty it. It's a mess. There's a plug that should drain all of the gross water but there's also an opening at the other end of the tank so it's really a crap-shoot as to which side it's going to leak out of first. Every single time I wind up with this disgusting water all over my hands. I wind up dumping it in the toilet but it splashes (poor spout design) so then I have to scrub the toilet. Inevitably, it gets on the floor so that gets cleaned too. In the meantime, I wind up throwing the stupid thing in the sink to minimize the risk so that gets cleaned too. It's a wreck. Seriously, find something else. If I still had the packaging or receipt, I'd return it in a heartbeat.

This spot cleaner sports a relatively simple design which is nonetheless quite effective. The unit is battery powered, with the initial charge taking 2-3 hours to complete. One charged, however, the battery should last through several cleaning sessions as the spot cleaning nature of the device means you'll tend to run it for only a few minutes each time. The concept is simple. An "input" tank holds cleaning solution which is supplied in pre-measured containers that require no dilution - simply pour the solution bottle in the tank. In my case the bottle held slightly more than enough to reach the "full" link. The unit has a power operated spray nozzle which does a great job of dispensing the solution in an even pattern the same width is the cleaning head. You then just scrub the stain spot using the static brushes mounted to the underside of the cleaner and use the nozzle to vacuum up the cleaning solution into a discharge tank underneath. I tested the unit on two spots, both of which had been hard to clean and were out of the way enough that they were not at least a few weeks old. In both cases the solution and brushes effortlessly removed the dirt and stain completely. The entire cleaning process took less than 5 minutes and left the carpet surprisingly dry. The vacuum is actually quite powerful and this fact, together with the relatively small suction nozzle, make for very effective suctioning of the spent solution. Cleanup is also straightforward - simply detach, empty, and rinse out the discharge tank. Again - took just a few minutes. It might have been nice to have a clean water option to rinse the carpet of solution after cleaning, and it may also have helped if the brushes spun or agitated in some way, but honestly the results are good enough that it's hard to fault a simple implementation that will hopefully also be less prone to breaking down the road. Not sure how much the little pre-measured bottles of cleaning solution cost, but Bissell sells a 60oz bottle (enough for 7-8 fills) for about $20. Given that I barley used 10% of the tank in my test cleaning, I don't think solution cost will be a big deal. Maybe it's a little overkill to have a battery powered device that really just scrubs cleaning solution, but it's hard to argue too much with success.

The same day that my Bissell Pet Stain Eraser Handheld Deep Cleaner arrived, my dog was kind enough to give me a reason to use it. My dog has a sensitive stomach and if she eats anything other than her dog food she gets sick and has really gross stool. The Bissell got put to the test right out of the box without charging it first and it didn't disappoint. It was super easy to use. Just put in the provided cleaning solution (no mixing necessary), turn it on, push a button to spray the stain then suction it away. Pretreating is recommended for heavy stains like the one I dealt with. My carpet is 11 years old, builder grade, no stain repellent on it. No problem for the Pet Stain Eraser. The battery will allow the Bissell to operate for about five minutes before it needs to be recharged. Plenty of time to get your stain out. It has a scrubbing brush on the bottom that helps get the stain out. The brush is removable for cleaning. It comes with a charging cord and two bottles of pet stain removal solution. Even though it is marketed as a pet stain removal tool, it is good for any kind of stain and can be used on carpets, rugs, furniture, cars, etc. Super handy item that I highly recommend.

The Bissell pet stain eraser can be a nifty product at times, especially when you catch an accident as soon as it happens. It's aesthetically appealing with its sharp edges. It can get the job done, too, but not without consequences. For a spot cleaner, this thing is heavy, bulky, and not exactly easy to clean. It's not at all ergonomic—I've found my hand aching while holding the cleaner. You have to angle it correctly to achieve the most effective vacuum power, and even then, you have to go over some spots several times. The scrubber is definitely good to have, and it should always be used whenever you clean. However, if you have a separate brush, I would recommend using that, as you have to brush with the entire cleaner since it's attached (it detaches, but it's not meant to be used separately), and it's a small-area brush. Once you've cleaned up, you'll want to then clean up the pet stain eraser. Because you'll be scrubbing with the cleaner, it's going to get dirty. This means it's harder to clean up than what it should be. Luckily the brush detaches, along with the liquid vacuum container and head area so that you clean any place on the surface cleaner that the stain or dirt has touched. I would also like to point out that it takes approximately 3-4 hours to charge the cleaner from a zero battery level, and it will not turn on if it's plugged in. I found it to be a hassle on several points. It doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long either, whether it's being used or not. It's good that it cleans, and it would be better if it was a little more powerful. But I'd look elsewhere if you don't like hassles.

I have two cats and a 2 year old, so messes are frequently made on our couches (not leather couches). So I liked the idea of having a small device to help lift up stains (vs. using spray can and a rag). But at the end of the day it's no better or no worse than a normal can of Resolve Carpet cleaner and a rag. Sure it's more fun, you use what is basically a hand held vacuum to squirt cleaning solution and then vacuum it up, but after that it's more hassle. You have to empty the dirty water bin before storing (to prevent leaks) and you have to make sure it's charged. What was misleading to me was the brushes. I thought the scrubbing brushes were motorized, but they're not. You squirt the solution and then move the entire device back and forth to agitate the stain and then you vacuum the water. The device does work, there's no doubt. It took care of melted chocolate, pizza sauce, and diet soda without issues. But it's expensive, and you have to purchase cleaning solution (the device goes through it quickly) which adds up. And you need to keep it recharged, all for the couple of times a month (or so) that you need to clean up a stain or spot on your upholstery or carpet. I just don't see what it provides that Resolve and a rag doesn't. It's big downside (to me) is that it's limited to spot cleaning, but that's what it's designed for. If you have the money and like gadgets, this is a great product that does its job. Otherwise, save your money and stick to old fashioned methods of spot cleaning your upholstery and carpet.

It's like a tiny carpet shampooer

Well, it really is just a tiny carpet shampooer. That's actually pretty awesome, as it does a great job cleaning up messes, not only from pets but also toddlers! Seriously, there was some melted cheese in the carpet, this thing cleaned it right up! It's rechargeable, and seems pretty capable for most small spills it's designed to clean up. You fill up the tank with cleaner (2 tubs provided) and spray. Let that sit for a few minutes, then come back scrub with the included nylon brush (built into the device just behind the suction area) and vacuum up the excess cleaner and mess. This is pretty effortless, and very easy. The carpet generally is still pretty wet, even after a thorough vacuuming, so you do need to let it air dry a bit. So far I haven't had to do a lot of maintenance, but it is pretty easy to work on. This has helped get out some stains that I've been waiting to address with a full shampooing. The convenience of being able to address these stains at will, without having to go grab several tools, scrub, and vacuum separately after drying is so nice. Especially if these 'incidents' occur in the middle of the night (I'm looking at you hairball queen cat). The manual talks about some not included accessories, including a window squeegee. It's a shame it didn't come with that, as it's a nifty idea. All in all this does a great job with pet stains, and like I said 'other messes'. I wish we had it years ago! Highly recommended!

Much More Than A Pet Stain Remover

The Bissell Pet Stain Easer Handheld vacuum is much more than a pet stain remover. This little lite weight handheld vacuum cleans some of the deepest and darkest stains with ease. It’s easy to use and makes cleaning up quick “little & dirty” messes easy. It packs a rechargeable battery that charges in about four to five hours, but only lasts 15 minutes; which is plenty enough time to remove stains in carpet and fabric. I sprayed a spot, let the trial carpet cleaning solution sit for about five minutes and vacuumed the stain up with ease. The spot actually came up so easily that I had to run my fingers through the carpet to check to see if there was any dirty deeper below the surface (nope, there wasn’t). It comes with two small bottles to get you started, but you will quickly run out of it (or maybe I used too much). I wouldn’t suggest using this for big areas, but if you have small spots and stains left behind from pets (or little people; kids) then this will handle the job for you. I actually tried some on my fabric covered coach and it worked fine. My coach hasn’t been cleaned for a couple years, yet you notice the difference. You can actually see the dirt being sucked right out of the area you’re using the vacuum on. I must admit that I had some doubts at first use, but this little “thang” is no joke! Trust me, it works and the price is affordable. I highly recommend getting this Bissell handheld Pet Stain Remover Vacuum for everyday use around the house and for your car; you won’t be disappointed.

Product works great. It does everything it claims. It comes with a premixed cleaner and is pretty much ready to use. All we had to do was charge it after taking it out of the box which took about 3.5-4 hours. Our dog drools a lot and constantly makes a mess when eating, and also somehow steps in stuff in the yard occasionally, so we got this to quickly clean up the mess. We finally used this yesterday after the dog tracked in a mess from outside, and it worked like a charm! We have a 2 years old boy as well in our home who makes equal mess as our dog. This vacuum has been a blessing for us to do the cleaning after all the mess made by those 2 little monsters. It is very easy to clean after use. Suction is sufficient. The only draw back that I found so far is if it is tipped on its side, to clean chair side skirts, the dirty water tank leaks on your hand and floor. The cleaning solution capacity is surprisingly small. It runs out pretty quickly. That's understandable as the machine is designed for small areas. It's very lightweight and easy to use. Being cordless makes it a perfect vacuum to carry around, specially if you want to use it to clean the carpet in your car, which we certainly plan to do. Definitely recommend!

I had been considering getting a Bissell Spotbot Pet but wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money. When the Pet Stain Eraser came up as an option, at almost half the cost, I decided to give it a try. For what I need, this Pet Stain Eraser works great. Charging time is about 4 hours. Run time could be a little better than the 30-45 minutes I was able to get out of it. What I really like is that they put some thought into the charging port and have engineered a spring loaded sliding cover that protects the charging port when not in use. Once setup with cleaning solution, usage is pretty easy. Turn the machine on, pull the trigger to dispense the cleaning solution, scrub the area with the bristles and swipe the area a couple times with the suction nozzle to pick up the excess solution and dirt. The solution cup seems rather small and will dispense somewhat quickly. The machine feels like a very large dustbuster. But don't mistake it for one, it has a very narrow suction nozzle that is just right for liquids. It could use a second handle towards the front to help guide the nozzle. Cleanup of the machine is pretty easy. Pull a few parts off, pull the drain plug and run them under the faucet and you're pretty much done. Unfortunately, you cannot run the machine while it is charging. I'm not sure you would want to anyways since the charging cord is rather light duty. Overall, a great little cleaner for small messes.

If you're experienced with (or have ever used) any sort of upright carpet cleaner, the idea is pretty similar with this hand-held, spot cleaner but a little simpler. You just spray the area from the nozzle on the device (comes out of the front), scrub with the front scrubber if you need to, let it sit for 5 minutes, then just reverse over the wet spot to suck up the liquid and you're done. You can repeat if you need to. Thats about it. Really. The one thing I didn't love about it, is you have to turn the power on the device in order to spray the spot. This turns on the suction vacuum, which is pretty unnecessary during spray time. A minor negative that's obviously just for simplicity. Instead of saying "turn on the sprayer power", they just tell you to turn on the power. I was a little confused the first time I hit the power button and the suction started, though, so that's the only reason it's a negative for me. All and all, if you have pets that like to make little stains on your carpet, this is a pretty nice thing for taking care of the small spots they leave. Our cats like to occasionally throw up and our dog has a mistake every once and a while and this seems to do a decent job of cleaning them up.

Accidents happen. All pet owners know that. Last week, I got a call from my son letting me know that one of our dogs had had diarrhea all over our silver gray (very light) carpet. Compounding the problem, was that apparently at least one other dog had run through it. My son was convinced that the carpet was surely ruined. It was a Saturday night, so there was no way I was going to be able to get someone in to clean the carpet professionally for at least a few days. Further, according to my son, the carpet reeked.... When I got home, it was worse than I could have imagined. I didn't think even a professional cleaning would be able to save the carpet. To my utter amazement, this machine, used with Bissell Pet Odor and Stain Remover (in the detergent tank) COMPLETELY removed everything. It was truly like magic. I could not believe my eyes. I highly recommend this machine. There was no discoloration to the carpet, which is a miracle in itself. There was no unpleasant odor, once the odor cleared from the room. Just to confirm, I sniffed the carpet close up, and it smells fine. This is something every pet owner should have.

A Great Small Wet Vaccum Cleaner

A had a very nasty grape juice spill spot on my very expensive Persian rug. I tried cleaning it with soap/vinegar/dishwasher and other detergents with little success. It got only slightly diluted and spread to an area of double of its original size. I used this vacuum with OXI solution enclosed 2 times. After each cleaning with solution I used the vacuum with just warm water to rinse wet spot to get rid of solution leftovers, and it virtually eliminated the spot. A light purple color of the spot has completely disappeared. The spot is barely noticeable. Just looks slightly darker than the rest of the rug with all original color not impacted. I plan to use it once or twice to see if I can completely get rid of it. I’m very happy with the vacuum, and I think, it’s a must have gadget for families with kids if they have expensive rugs and upholstered furniture and want kids to play on them without worrying about getting them dirty. The vacuum looks cool and is very easy to operate and store. The OXI solution is affordable, non-bleach and non-toxic. I strongly recommend it. You will love it.

As an owner of two dogs, it's inevitable that messes will happen. Having a handheld is great for smaller stains that don't require a carpet cleaner or taking a rug in. The Bissell Pet Stain Eraser is perfect for these small jobs. The key part of stain removal is the extraction - getting the stain out of the carpet. It doesn't matter what cleaning agent you're using, you need to be able to lift the "mess" out. The Bissell has enough power to lift the stain out. It also has a brush conveniently attached to the bottom of the device. Spray, give a little brush to loosen things up and turn on the extractor. It really doesn't get any easier than that. I had a full-sized cleaner than I would use before, which did a fine job removing stains, it was just a lot of work. Having a handheld is perfect. Unfortunately, (or fortunately depending on your perspective) my dogs failed to make any messes during my review period so I wasn't able to test the effectiveness of the included cleaning agent. Having used other Bissell cleaning agents, I have no reason to think they wouldn't work. The device itself was very effective removing water from the carpet as a test.

BISSELL - Pet Stain Eraser Bagless Cordless Hand Vacuum Included- 1 cordless cleaning unit, circle bristle brush, charging cord, 2-8oz. Spot and Stain + Oxy Formula cleaner. The set up is easy. You just need to charge it for about 4 hours and then it's ready to go. The lithium rechargeable battery makes it hugely convenient to use throughout your house or car since there is no cord to deal with. The cleaner is easy since it's pre-mixed. You don't need to worry about measuring and mixing water. The bottles are small so you will want to possibly invest in more right away to work the stains and messes out the best. Just spray the cleaner on your stained area, scrub it with the brush and then the vacuum will suction up the spray and mess. And there's no bags to deal with since there are just tanks to fill and empty. This will definitely clean better than just spraying cleaner and then blotting it up a few minutes later. But if you have large messes, this might not do the trick since the charge only lasts about 15-20 minutes of run time. This little hand vacuum is great for spot cleaning messes from your pets or your kiddos.

I found this unit easy to use and fairly light when with the cleaning solution in it. Pros: Easy to use, no mixing necessary, full charge in 4 hrs. Came with two (2) bottle of special cleaning solution, one (1) bottle filled entire solution basin. Cons: Battery life not great but does last through a full cleaning cycle of the fluid basin, slightly difficult to disassemble portions of unit to clean. A little messy to clean. Suggestions: (other than the standard of reading the manual...) *Empty and clean unit over tub or large washbasin/sink. *Have a bottle brush or similar brush for cleaning out gunk from some of the crevasses. *Keep the small cleaning solution bottles. Refill them using larger cleaning solution bottles. These small bottles are the exact amount you need to fill machine for use.
