I bought the Vacuum at the request of my wife. I went online to Best-Buy .com and reviewed their many choices in vacuum's. This one seemed to fit the bill as to what she was wanting, and what was still within our budget. The BISSELL - Power-Glide Bag-less Pet Upright Vacuum has performed flawlessly thus far (few weeks). We have four dogs and three cats, all of which continuously use our furniture for a bed. The suction power with the pet attachment has done wonders in keeping it cleaned and ready for our use. It is one of my Best Buy's of the week.

Light weight, strong suction and turns well. The only issue is the design of the attachment holder. It moves freely around the handle and the attachment falls off often. Meow.

We had a dyson for about 7 years and it finally crapped out. So we needed a replacement and didn't feel like shelling out a bunch of money for a new dyson. So we stumbled upon this gem. This vacuum is awesome and powerful and affordable. It has two switches, one for power and the other one makes the brush spin. This feature is sweet. You turn it on for the carpet, then with a flick of the switch I can vacuum my hard vinyl kitchen floor. Comes with a 5 year warranty and then I bought the 4 year replacement plan that is added to the 5. So I got an amazing vacuum with 9 years of warranty for right around $180.. Get this vacuum!!

In my opinion, Hoover makes the best vacuums. This vacuum is extremely powerful and does the job as advertised. It's easy to navigate due to its rotational base.

I had my previous vacuum for over ten years and it was a Bissel. When it finally started to go out it was between this and a Dyson. If you want to ridiculously overpay for the same result, go with Dyson. I'm very glad I spent about ¼th the money and get the same quality. This vacuum works great even on cheap builders grade carpet. Picks up the dirt very well as well as dog hair. I will agree it's kind of annoying they didn't include a storage spot on the vacuum itself for the brush attachment, but it doesn't affect performance so not a big deal at all.

Easy to assemble. Suction is good. Only issue was with the hose and how it works. Hose is not really long enough. Looks good in the picture on the box but that flexibility is not really there. Maybe over time it will stretch. For the most part when you use the hose and try to stretch it the Vacuum tries to come with it which does not exactly work when you are trying to do steps and leave the unit at the bottom. Beyond that, no complaints. Good Vacuum for the money.

Suction is extremely good. Does the job on rugs and bare floors. I do find the attachment tool ackward to use. This is the second vacuum I've had with the special tool for dog hair. Neither one has worked very well. I still pull out an old Hoover canister (inherited from my mother which is probably 25 years old) to vacuum furniture. I also wish this new Bissell's handle would recline all the way to the floor to allow vacuuming under low furniture.

This vacuum is absolutely stunning! The main reason I bought it was because my dog kept shedding everywhere and nothing could get it off my ancient Canadian rug, made by the Eskimo's finest seal pelts! So naturally, when I saw this was made for pet hair, I decided I needed it. It works perfect! Once a week, I lay my dog on the floor and just vacuum all the hair off him! He's never been happier, and my house has never been cleaner! Picture is my little baby, Boo Radley. Seriously tho, it's a dope vacuum.

We go through one vac per year, so we are not new to a good one.... or for that matter bad ones. This one, is very good! We have two labs, so we vac every day. I am pleased with this model.

I vacuumed with my old vacuum, then used this beauty. I could not believe everything it picked up!!! So easy to Manuver!

Really happy with my purchase. It's easy to use, great suction and pretty lightweight. The pet attachment did a number on my furniture and really helped get a lot of the hair out of a slip cover I had on my dog's sofa. Clean up with the dispenser is easy and mess free.

I love how powerful this vacuum is and how easily it glides across the carpet. I also love how you can turn off the brush roller to transition to non carpet floors. We have linoleum and use it on that. The only thing I would do different is make the hose a little longer or make it expand more. It is tight and tends to push the vacuum along if you are not close to it.

This vacuum works really well, picks up cat hair- and I have two little shedders here in the house- like a charm. It's got lots of great vacuum accessories as well and is easy to use. This vacuum is one heck of a sucker and I don't mean it's easily fooled.

I went to purchase the Dyson Pet on the recommendation of a friend but had no idea how expensive it was. I assumed that this Bissell Powerglide Pet would be a "cheap substitute" but good enough for me and my purposes. However, it does everything I need it to and more. I've had a lot of cheap vacuums and this one is not included in that list, even though it is extremely affordable.

First off, this review is from a male perspective. I'm all about specs, features and the best value for my $$$. This is the first vacuum I have seen that has edge to edge suction. In other words, the suction is created from the middle of the vacuum instead of from the side. If you look at the hose's, its pretty straight forward and no real twists, turns or bends. This definitely results in a stronger and more powerful suction. After much debate, my wife and I bought this Vacuum last night. We went in store and had honestly had another vacuum in mind. This one was displayed in the very corner of where they had all the vacuums on display. After looking at it, the price it was on sale for ($115 in our store) and the fact it has a 5 year warranty, we decided to purchase it. I was a little worried because its only 8.5 Amps vs most other vacuums that are 12 amps. Let's face it, its not a Dyson, but Bissell is a VERY good brand in my opinion. If you want to shell out another 300-400 for a Dyson, be my guest. At the end of the day it's still just a vacuum and serves one purpose. As for the reviews that say its hard to assemble, you've pretty much got to lack any common knowledge to not be able to put this thing together. You litteraly press a button, slide the handle into place, install the bottom cord wrap bracket (which literally just pushes and locks into place) and attach the extra hose. It's THAT easy. As for the 2 included attachments (a crevice tool and a pet tool for upholstery) yes, it is true there is no holders included on the vacuum. But they both work quite well. It's also true the handle becomes part of the long reach tool, but connecting the different hose's is really quite simple. I say... GET OVER IT!!! Its really not that hard to do and realky not that big of an inconvenience. In fact i think its VERY well designed. Am I certantly NOT going to drop a Star on my rating or not recommend it just because of that. This is one heck of a vacuum. When i first turned it on I was blown away. The power of this vacuum is AMAZING!!! Picks up pet hair and just about anything on the floor like a champ. I can tell it's cleaning really deep down. The speed of the brush is extremely fast. My wife and I almost couldn't believe how fast it was. We did a few passes with our old Eureka Boss and then re-vacuumed the same area with this new one. It was impressive how much stuff this vacuum picked up that our old one left behind. I love the fact that that it has swivel steering. It's very easy to maneuver. Also the fact the power and brush roller on and off switches are within hand reach and there are no more annoying peddles to press is a HUGE plus in my book. The filter and cyclonic system are extremely well designed. The canister also has a switch you press and it empties from the bottom. Less mess and less dust back in the air. This is hands down the best vacuum I've owned to date.
