I decided to try this product after being tired of using a regular mop and all the mess it entails. I have been impressed with the ease of use and how easy it was to switch / clean the pads. It cleans well with a light scrub however if there are hard stuck items will have to run over it a few times. Pros: Pads are easy to clean Comes with 2 bottles of cleaners Easy to handle and turns 180 Runs Quiet Good Battery life When spray it makes a sound Auto stops pads spinning when in full upright position Reservoir easy to read for water / cleaner mix Cons: Charges slowly Spins slow, hard stuck items will need to soak before removing Pads do not properly fit on plastic base holder Reservoir is plastic No Light The product comes with 2 types of pads; a scrub and a normal soft pad. I was impressed that it includes 2 bottles of cleaners and how little had to be used to properly clean. Reservoir:: Easy to read for portions of water / Cleaning solution mix. The markings for mixture are meant for Bissell's cleaning product so careful if using off brand. You are able to use off brand cleaners however make sure its not too thick base. Water can be warm but NOT hot as it could melt plastic container. Cap is a twist on that has a spot that water flows through. Be sure to clean cap so water deposit does not clog. Maintenance:: Pads are easily removable by Velcro to wash by hand. The pads are made well to be able to thoroughly clean. The only issue is pads are larger than the spinners so have to carefully place to not over lap. The book recommends to place pads on plastic base station then put the Bissell mop on the station to help line it up. However the pads are a little larger then the station and I found it difficult to line up at times. The entire product is plastic covering and easy to clean if needed, just make sure to wipe down with a cloth , do not try soaking any part. Battery:: Charging is easy and takes a few hours. There is a blue bar that indicates length of battery left. I was able to clean a fairly large room without risk of running out of battery. Only issue was when charging is needed it does take some time to charge. Bissell Cleaner: The cleaner has a light fragrant and cleans well. It is highly concentrated and able to clean large rooms without having to use alot of the product. It is a clear cleaner that does not bubble so when mixing with water will not see it mix. Overall its a good product that easily replaces the painful mop and maintenance cleaning makes it worth it.

    A Great Powered Mop…with a few "problems"

Normally, when I write a review, they tend to be fairly lengthy, and extremely informative…of course, they also tend to be for serious tech products (TV, router, laptop, smart home products, etc). a powered mop isn’t very “technical”, thus I don’t feel it needs a lengthy, overly-informative, review. That being said, the Bissell SpinWave Cordless Powered Mop is still a great product, and one worth considering…once you get over the $150 price. Before I mention anything “bad”, I should start with its good points. With the included pads (one pair of standard, called “Soft Touch”; one pair of scrubbing, called “Scrubby”, it does a very good job. If there’s anything that requires excessive scrubbing, not even the “scrubbing” pads will do the perfect job, but it still does a far better job than I expected it to do. Bissell claims a “20 minute” battery life…in real-world use, I got slightly less than that (approximately 17 minutes), but I was more than happy with it lasting that long. The included Bissell Multi-Surface Formula liquid does more than an adequate job, although Bissell does offer more floor-specific cleaning liquids for the SpinWave (Multi-Surface Pet with Febreze, and Wood Floor Formula) for those with a “greater” need. As mentioned, above, there are some “bad” points. First, and foremost, is the price. $150 is a LOT to spend on a mop. Heck, even the corded version, at $100, is too much. Bissell would have been better off pricing the cordless version at $100, and the corded version around $60-70. So, before even considering the cordless version, one must ask themselves if they really NEED a powered cordless mop, and especially one costing as much as this does. Second, based on several long-term reviews I’ve read, there is a random problem of the spinning parts being “problematic”…and, by “problematic”, I’m attempting to put it nicely, without bad-mouthing Bissell. This is NOT to say that, if you purchase the SpinWave Cordless Powered Mop, you’ll end up having problems…it’s only to inform of the possibility. Thankfully, Bissell includes a 2-year warranty (in this era, most companies only include a 6-month, or 1-year, warranty), so, if you do run into any serious problems, Bissell has you covered. There’s also the cost of replacement items, as well as accessories. Bottles of the cleaning liquids run $11 each, for a 32oz bottle (you can purchase a 3-pack of the standard Multi-Surface cleaner for $30, saving $3, but that’s not really much of a savings). Then there’s the replacement pads, which are $13 for a 2-pack of standard “Soft” pads, $15 for a 2-pack of “Scrubby” pads, and $20 for a 4-pack of the “Mop Pads”. In the long-run, using the SpinWave could become considerably more costly than your typical mopping solutions. So, would I recommend this to others? The answer, unfortunately, is somewhat complicated. If you look ONLY at the product, itself, and what it does, completely ignoring the minor problem, as well as the overly-high cost (not just the initial purchase price, but also the cost of replacement/accessory items), then the answer would, hands down, be “yes”. However, when one considers the purchase price, as well as the cost of replacement/accessory items, then I might be inclined to say “no”. it is for this reason that I only gave the Bissell SpinWave Cordless Powered Mop a 4-star rating (in truth, I was leaning towards a 3-star rating, but decided I wouldn’t hold the star against the price). Disclaimer: This product was provided free, or at reduced cost, for the purpose of reviewing the product. Nevertheless, the above review, be it positive, negative, or somewhere in-between, is a 100% honest review, and the price paid played absolutely no part in my review. For the purpose of this review, in regards to the "I would recommend this to a friend", I answered 'Yes", but my honest answer is described, and explained, above.

The SpinWave Cordless Powered Mop is building on a solid product lineup from Bissel. Assembly was a 'snap' and requires little to no time to get this product ready for use - other than doing the initial full-charge conditioning of the battery. Overall, the cleaning effectiveness of this machine is solid. The weight and balance of this power mop feels nearly perfect along with the height (extension) of the handle. In operation, the rotation action provides a steady and predictable amount of forward 'pull', never feeling like it is going to take off or go out-of-control. The kit comes with two sets of cleaning pads, one for set that can be used for any surface because of the relative softness of the contact surface and a second set explicitly designed for increased scrubbing action - which is not recommended for hard woods or delicate surfaces. We found both pad types to be extremely effective in removing dirt otherwise left behind by our Shark steam-based cleaner. Outstanding! The unit is not very loud in operation and charges relatively quickly. Cannot comment on the battery life duration due to the limited time to test but at first blush, it appears this system should easily clean a few hundred square feet at least twice under normal conditions. Cleaning solution consumption was markedly less than expected and our floors dried quickly with the provided solution. The only gripe I have about this system is that it only comes with one set of each type of cleaning pad. I don't see the added cost factor of providing two sets of each as a big deal and it would make for a better customer experience to always have at least 1 extra set of pads in waiting. At the very least, Bissel should include 2 sets of the basic cleaning pad as this will be the more commonly used arrangement. Other than that minor nit, the overall design and performance far exceeded our expectations. Pros: Easy to assemble. Light weight and very well balanced in-hand. Remarkably quiet in operation. Strong yet controlled motion on tile and hardwood surfaces. Charges quickly. Cleans thoroughly with a minimum amount of solutions sprayed. Cons: Should come equipped with 2 sets of the regular pads and 1 set of the deeper cleaning, scrub pads. * 4 and half stars to be sure and we'd recommend this product to friends & family without a second thought.

Bissell Spinwave Intro This SpinWave mop makes mopping fun… sort of. It is light and it has a built-in handle to make it easier to carry around. It is quiet so go right ahead and mop in the middle of the night. The power button is located on the handle for ease of operation. You can pause and put the unit on stand-by by putting it in the upright position. However, reclining it back to the cleaning position takes putting your foot on the unit’s foot and pulling the handle back. A release lever would have been nice. It’s cordless! Yay! It takes about three and a half hours to fully charge the battery and the charge have typically been good for +/-20 minutes of continuous cleaning time. There are three LED charge indicators located on the front (3 LEDs=100%-67%, 2 LEDs=66%-33%, 1 LED=32%-10%, 1 flashing LED means you should take a break and charge the unit). The clean water tank has fill lines to easily mix water and the cleaning formula. One for small room cleaning and another for a large room. I don’t think the battery charge will last for that large room cleaning though. It comes with 4 reusable and washable pads. Two regular pads and two pads with rough strips for scrubbing. Because the cleaning formula leaves streaks on tiles, noticeable on dark tile floors. Because of that, I mainly use the scrubber pads for cleaning then use the regular pads to buff the streaks out. So much for making mopping fun and easy. There is a push button on the handle to dispense the formula and it will also make a buzzing noise while it is dispensing. It comes with a storage tray which keeps the unit off the floor and helps vent the wet cleaning pads for faster drying time. Pros - Cordless - Light weight - Cleaning pads are reusable and washable Cons - Cleaning formula leaves streaks - 3+ hours charging time for -20 minutes cleaning time - Needs a release lever to recline the unit Outro If you need to do some maintenance mopping, this will do the work easily. Instead of the breaking out the old fashioned bucket and mop, you might just reach out for this Bissell SpinWave!

So I have a lot of hard floors in my house and I have been looking for a decent mop to clean a lot of it without soaking the floors since I have engineered hardwoods. This looked like the ticket. To start, the mop is reasonably compact, comes with a 'stand' and 4 pads (2 sets). It works like many other mops in the class by spraying cleaning solution in front of the mop then you run the mop over it, rather than dipping it in a bucket and slopping water all over the place. What sets this one apart however is the powered part of it. The pads spin and actually pull the mop forward, it's almost like a vacuum for your hard floors while still being a mop. The cleaning capability is decent, I had a few dried mess spots to try this out on and it did a good job with little effort. Now for a couple of negatives... Charging the mop is a bit of a disappointment. It comes with an AC adapter, however it just hangs out of the wall with a wire that you plug into the back of the mop, there's no dock, wall mount, or other clean look to the charging system, so it can easily become just another AC adapter that you forget what it is part of if you put it away at some point. The stand has holes around the side so dont plan on putting the mop on it with wet pads or it'll leak on to your floors. There's also no place to put the extra pads on the mop or the stand. So in all you have 3-5 'accessories' that just have to sit somewhere rather than being self-contained. All in call it's a decent automatic mop that does not put down too much water which allows it to work for a wide variety of floors, but the accessory management and charging ease of use could use a little more attention.

I was kinda excited to get this Bissell SpinWave for the spinning 2 headed cleaning pads to clean my sealed hardwood floors i also have linoleum floors. Right now i have a shark stem cleaner type mop. It work good but a lot of pushing it back and forth and scrubbing the same area if you have a little dirt. Now the spinwave i just let it do it's job and let it kinda move on it's own on the floor. I did notice a brighter shine on the floors it was very easy to use. Now i do wish the Bissell had a speed selection this only goes i speed kinda at a slow to medium speed. The other thing i wish it had was a removable battery pack so i don't have to keep the unit plugged in. This does take sometime to charge for as little time as you get to use it for. 1 charge it will run for about 25min that's not a lot of time if you want to go over the floor twice. This doe's come with 2 sample bottles of there floor cleaner witch i used it was safe on my hardwood floors. To replace the bottle is only 10.00 not bad price for floor cleaner. So overall not a bad product wish it had a speed control, battery pack.

The pads were on the machine out of the box. The mop had to be charged before using. THe mop is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. THe mop is very quiet and you can easily hear a phone call while using the mop. If there is any debris on the floor, like dried leaves that were tracked inside, they will be pushed away. The machine does not pick up debris. The machine does easily fit under kitchen or bath cabinets to clean the floor. The cleaning solution is a pleasant smell. If you have trouble pushing a mop, then this is a much easier way to mop the floor as it requires very little strength. The solution and water are easy to fill in the machine. The instructions say remove the wet pads before storing the mop, so these have to be removed and washed after cleaning. The mop has a nice black tray to sit on when not in use. The pads attach via velcro and are easy to remove or replace. The cleaning solution must be emptied after each use. There are two levels of water/solution that are labeled on the clean water reservoir so it is easy to adjust how much cleaning solution and water to add to meet the size of the area you plan to mop. The only negative is that you would have to dust mop before or after mopping to pick up any grit or debris.

Our Hoover Floormate Deluxe broke after 2 years of moderate use. Not uncommon apparently and the spare parts run at 50 bucks. Not worth it for a $150 appliance. Few options around really as it always boils down to Floormate vs Crosswave. The latter being way overpriced and the former has a short service life. Also, both perhaps a little too much action? Flooding, scrubbing, sucking - good for big messes but for the routine cleaning...takes way longer than manual mopping. Then I noticed the spinwave. Wasn’t initially impressed about the idea because of the smearing dirt around rather than actually cleaning yadayadaya. I bit the bullet anyway and went for the cordless version. Didn’t expect much but boy was I wrong. I Roomba’d the floors first as usual and once I started mopping away I realized that this thing is actually amazing. Super quick, surprisingly shiny floors and did I say super quick? Recommended. So why 4 stars? I wished the motor was a little stronger and spinning faster. Other than that, no problems. Did the house comfortably with a charge. Our floors are laminate btw, poorly sealed. Go for it, it’s actually working.

This product is my first dive into a power hard floor cleaner. I was a little skeptical at first, but needed something to keep the hardwood looking fresh. When I fired this thing up, I got all excited and didn't want to stop cleaning. I was surprised the battery lasted about 25 minutes and still had juice left. I felt like Kramer test driving the car on Seinfeld!! It took a little practice to get good around the edges, but luckily the swivel ability made for some quick learning. I pretty much felt like I was cleaning a big marble floor with a giant commercial buffer...at least that how I pictured myself. But seriously, I did a light vacuum to suck up the dust then took this Bissell for a spin. Result...the floors looked amazing. The only reason I went 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish it spun a little faster. The speed of the pads pretty much dictates how fast you can get through the job. They spin fast enough to do a good job cleaning, but after a bit, I wished it had a faster speed. Overall, the item is well built, easy to use, and perfect for a nice polish on the floors.

Ok out of the box there is virtually no set up just push the handle into the base and you’re done. Opening the box you will find 4 washable cleaning pads, two bottles of cleaning solution, the main unit it’s self with base and a power cord for charging. No need to get down on your hands and knees for them dried on hard spots. With the dual rotating mop heads it makes quick work of cutting through the grime. With a push of a button you control how much cleaning solution is put down. So you can use more when at stubborn spots. I like that you can control how much you use. This way you only use what you need and my floors dried very quick from not having a lot of extra water on them. I do wish it had a longer battery life. I have a lot of tile and hard wood floors in my home and couldn’t do the whole house on one charge. I was shocked at how easy it was to move this mop around. With the rotating heads it’s almost like it’s floating and moves around almost effortlessly. And it’s lightweight so it won’t be an issue if you have a two-story home and need to carry it around. This would be a great addition to anyone’s cleaning closet and I would recommend it.

This is a pretty good product. It reminds me of a floor waxer with two spinning pads. I like that I can squirt a little or a lot of cleaner making it so the floor drys quick if it's not really dirty. It's easy to maneuver and not too heavy. It comes with a tray to store it in so the wet pads aren't sitting on the floor. This seems best if you have a large area. I had issues with small areas because the pads are so big. Like using it in a bathroom is hard to get around the toilet and such. Also there's no way to get into corners. I wish the battery lasted longer as well. You get 20 min out of a 4 hour charge. I did 4 small areas that didn't use up all the "small area" cleaner amount and I was down to less than 33% of battery. I'm not sure how you make the battery last for a big area. The scrubbing pads make quick work of spots on the floor that a mop would require some pressure to get off.

Overall the Bissell SpinWave Cordless Powered Mop works great. It cleans my wooden and tile floors very well. It is extremely easy to use and glides easily across the floor. The battery life runs for about 20 to 25 minutes which is fine to clean a large area. The powered mop is a great and easy way to keep your floors clean. The one issue I have with the device is that the spraying mechanism drips after spraying. You press a button to dispense solution on the floor and then use the powered mop to clean. What I have noticed is that after dispensing solution, additional liquid will drip from the spray nozzle onto the floor. If you don't notice the drip, you will end up with a small puddle on your floor. It is easy enough to run the mop over the drip to mop it up, but it seems that the nozzle drips quite a bit making it a pain to have to constantly mop up.

Easy to use especially if you need something easy on your back. Almost as if it is self-propelled due to how it the brushes move in a clockwise and counterclockwise rotation underneath. Came with two sample size bottles of multi-surface cleaner that worked well on our Brazilian cherry wood floor. We will try the soap that is dedicated to wood at some point in the future. Make sure you thoroughly sweep up any debris first to ensure you aren’t just spreading it around and creating more work for yourself. Battery lasted for about 500 square feet but in the last section, you could tell it was losing some of its power. Recharging took about two hours and there is an indicator on the front to let you know once it is complete. Overall, this is a good product and does a thorough job. I would recommend it.

I've been looking to replace my steam mop because of its age and this fell in my lap. Using the water / solution mix - it did pretty good getting some marks off the old linoleum. I took it to the wood laminate and it also gave a nice shine, however left a bit of a cloudy residue. Perhaps a bit less solution for the future. Overall, the two different pads make a good difference and it's quiet. Very quiet. It has a bit of pull when you turn the handle and given that the pads are circular, you can't get into 90 degree corners. There is a plastic mat that you can rest the mop on and it has holes, allowing for the pads to dry - a cool idea.

I really like this floor cleaner. First of all, it keeps me from pushing a mop around the floor. I simply attach the two pads to the bottom. Place cleaner and water in the bottle, and turn it on. It does the rest of the work. The two pads on the bottom spin and clean much like a floor buffer. The unit has a rechargeable battery and works for approximately 20 minutes before needing to be charged again. I only wish it came with a removable battery to make battery replacement easier and charging easier. You have to have the entire unit by a plug to charge it. All in all, it did a great job cleaning my floors!

I do like this mop, it is easy to take from room to room without the hassle of a cord and finding an outlet. It has its own tank so you don't need to carry a bucket of nasty water throughout the house. However, I do think it needs more of an extended time between charges as well as quicker charging. I can do my kitchen, but then have to charge it again for several hours before I can use it for my bathrooms and laundry room. Also the pads are absorbent but you need several sets to make sure the dirt doesn't get laid back down.

I recently purchased this mop for my mom and really loved the idea of a wireless electric mop, as this would be easier on the back to use than a regular mop. Everything about this mop is great, but it's just not for us and our house. We have tiled floors and the mop would leave water stains on our floor, which didn't look too nice, so unfortunately we decided to return it. Besides that, the mop was good and functional.

This is a handy cleaning device to own. An entire floor of my house is wood, and the SpinWave makes cleaning a snap. Difficult spills and animal messes come up easily. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is the handle, which is two pieces that are supposed to snap together, never snaps right. This means that if I grab it out of the included stand without using the grab bar, it comes apart.
