This thing is amazing....Seriously, I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to go back to using a Swiffer, or anything of the sort.....

Like a Swiffer WetJet on steroids

My first impression of the Bissell SpinWave was it didn't work, as nothing happened when I pressed the On/Off button as shown in the instructions. I found if you reverse Steps 2 and 3, it will start up just fine. That little hiccup was the only thing negative experience.
If you have used and liked the Swiffer WetJet, think of the SpinWave as a future generation of hard floor cleaners here now: powered wet cleaning and spinning heads to do the work. The device is light in weight for a powered device, and the motor is very quiet, a definite plus. As I used it and got more familiar with the operation, I found it to be very maneuverable, as the handle moves it easily in all four directions and allows you to get into small areas. Another design asset is the base unit holding the spinning cleaning heads is such that you can clean under the edge of low furniture so as not to leave a visible clean/unclean line at the furniture edge. The power cord is very long, so you don't have to keep changing outlets. In addition, the cleaning liquid is quick drying! It's to soon to know about long-tern durability, but based on the experience so far, I'd be optimistic. It seems too well thought out for durability to be overlooked in the design process.

It works perfect and really makes my hardwood floors look super clean. Wish the pads did not get so dirty looking thought.

I never had a machine like this before. I thought it would leak after one or two uses. It didn't. Great for small to medium jobs.

Every light and maneuverable product. But just heavy enough that it puts enough downward pressure to clean floors amazingly.

Bissell's SpinWave delivers exactly what it promises - clean floors with no scrubbing effort - but with some caveats. People with large, hard-floored spaces will especially find it valuable. For everyone else, it saves enough scrubbing work to merit a look, but has a few drawbacks to consider.
Basic assembly was pretty easy - the main body just snaps together. It comes with 2 types of circular cleaning pads for different floor surfaces. The pads require a little care to align correctly - it took me a couple of tries to get them exactly centered and eliminate the excess vibration when the motors were running. (Probably something that will get easier with time.)
Once running, it definitely feels pretty powerful. The action of the spinning pads gives it "self-propelled" type of feeling. It was actually a little surprising how strong this action is. I wouldn't say it was an issue for me, but I loaned it to my mother to get her take on it, and she actually felt it required quite a bit of effort to control it and change direction. Of course, how much of a downside this is would really depend on how much open space the user has to cover.
It's a relatively compact device, but the rounded pads naturally mean it can't get all the way into corners. If you're someone who literally doesn't like to cut corners when cleaning, you'll probably still have a little extra work to do after you've SpinWave'd the majority of the floor.
It's not always apparent from the front-on pictures, but this is a corded device. That's certainly not a flaw since the cord seemed sufficiently long. Slightly less portability, but on the other hand it's always ready to go and there's no worry about batteries wearing down over time.
The pads washed up fine - not out-of-the-box new, but they definitely picked up quite a bit of grime.
All in all, I would really recommend this product in some situations, and temper expectations in others. As I said above, for big open spaces (with few corners) it's very efficient thanks to the natural self-propelling motion. For tight spaces, that is countered a bit by the extra effort required to change direction. In either type of space, it's probably a godsend for people with bad knee or back issues who would happily corral the machine while standing up than be kneeling or bending.

A Back Saver!

The SpinWave is a great automatic mop. While I've mopped both on my hands and knees and a general mop, the Bissell SpinWave does just about as good and does so with almost no effort on the user.
In the box you'll find 2 sets of pads, and 2 containers of the multi-purpose cleaner. There is a more specific hardwood cleaner listed in the manual, but I have not had a chance to try it yet. The included cleaner does a really good job though on both hardwood and linoleum. The best part is that it gets all but the most stubborn of messes on these floors with less effort than running a vacuum.
It's super simple to operate, you simply fill the reservoir with water to a mark on the container. Then fill the container up to another mark with multi-purpose cleaner. Insert the reservoir, plug the mop in and hit the go switch. Both mops begin to turn in opposite directions. There's a button (that does let out a slightly annoying beep noise) that sprays fluid out so you can start to mop. It's hard to see the water come out, but it does. From this point, mopping is a breeze as it moves gracefully on your floor. When you're done, you simply remove the pads and wash them in your washing machine. The manual even gives tips on how to get the pads to attach perfectly.
I have very little criticism to level against the SpinWave. The beep is annoying against an otherwise silent tool, however it exists because the water pump is so quiet you'd be likely to over watering your floors. It does take up a bit more space than a traditional mop, and wires can get in the way while mopping. A cordless would be a great idea, but it's hard to beat the power that comes with a plugged in device.
All in all, I highly recommend this product! It's been a back saver, and a wonderful way to maintain your hard floors!
