The quick clean is a little too quick but I guess if you get the stain right after it happens it’d be okay. I’ve got cats with hair ball pukes that stain the carpet. This little Spot Bot on the deep clean cycle worked great. I do agree with another reviewer saying they used the hose after just to suck up any excess water— I did that and got maybe half a tablespoon of water up extra after the cycle but nothing major. I had an older model of this awhile ago that I left with my brothers when I moved, well my dog threw up on a very expensive area rug in my house so I decided to go pick up one of these again. Works great and as advertised....easy to use

We got this after trying a number of upright steam cleaners to clean up after our wonderful but housebreaking-challenged dog. Some of the uprights were good but they were all cumbersome and heavy to operate. The Spot Bot is really, really easy to use and cleans really well. It's almost totally "set it and forget it," except it beeps every few minutes and you have to go push another button. No big deal. The negatives: it's just as loud as its larger cousins; it only cleans a small circular area and doesn't move, so it's a true spot cleaner, nothing else; and if your overall carpet needs cleaning and you use this (especially on the deep clean setting), you'll end up with a circle of lighter carpet in the middle of your floor. Basically, the negatives are all what happens when you buy a spot cleaner that does its job, but still they're good to keep in mind. Overall, a great purchase.

New puppy not fully housebroken and subject to accidents on your carpet? This is the machine to use. I am very impressed with the operation and performance of this machine. Simply fill the bottle with warm water and cleaning solution, set the machine over the spot to be treated, select clean or deep clean, then walk away. The unit applies the solution, scrubs the area, then removes the soil and solution. Also, the machine has a detachable hose and wand so you can manually clean hard to reach areas. I regret not purchasing this unit sooner. My only negative is that the circular motion of the brushes leave a circular imprint in the carpet. It doesn't damage the carpet and you can easily fluff the carpet back out with your foot.

I’ve used the Spot Bot more than I wish I had to, and it has certainly met the needs and expectations of a $150 carpet cleaner. However, if a bigger, more powerful version with more attachments and features existed I would likely have chosen that. The handheld hose option is good, but only for small spots, and sucking up the last bit of water the auto-head can’t get. I would like to see a bigger attachment with a roller brush, with better, more-sturdy handle. This would be for the wider spots on the carpet that need elbow grease. Also, a built in water heater would be worth the upgrade. Moving on, the unit leaks a bit. There is always a small puddle under the auto-cleaner part (underside brushes) when I’m rinsing it out by sucking up clean water with the hose at the sink. Sometimes there is a leak from the handheld end of the hose after using the attachment. I think the hose is shrinking with the weather, its about 70 in my house (which is not that cold... normally warmer in the house, 80) and the hose is more rigid and therefore harder to bend around and plug back into the slot, feels like I’m pulling too hard on it to plug it in, which can’t be good for it in the long run, and will likely wear out when out of warranty. Maybe it just needs to be an inch longer. Using cheap material, or not enough, is how they keep the price low, but ends up costing us more a few years down the road when we have to buy a replacement, because you know there won’t be any replacement parts available in 5 years, or you’d have to send it in to get repaired which would cost as much as or more than buying a new one. I’m not the biggest fan of the “clean-side” water tank. It’s precarious to hold; it has slipped out of my hand since there isn’t a good handle shape and it’s slick plastic. And the odd horseshoe shape makes the water slosh around when you’re filling it, and with one tiny little fill line marker on the end of the horseshoe you have to set it down on the sink for a minute for the water to level out, then add the cleaner solution through the hole in the tank that is SMALLER than the hole in the bottle of solution. The “dirty-side” tank must be handled with great care or it will spill. Also no handle shape (finger indention, etc) in the molding of the plastic, and not very grippy texture. There are holes on the top and bottom, the water is supposed to pour out of the top hole when tipped, but some water inevitably ends up going down the internal chute and dripping out of the bottom hole. So, have your sacrificial towel at the ready whenever you use this. Overall, it’s a great value when you consider the cost of renting a stand-up unit from the grocery store, which costs about half as much as this for 24hrs. And it’s MUCH better than using a spray, brush & towel when you have small messes from pets that forget the carpet isn’t their toilet.

The BISSELL SpotBot is portable, light in weight, and easily stored. The instructions are easy to follow and the operation is straight forward. It also cleans well.

Honestly, I hate cleaning. So i bought the Neato D5 to vacuum while i do other things, and the Spotbot to clean the pet mess. Can't say enough good things about it, works awesome. Tips: 1: always vacuum first before using any shampooer, they're not vacuums.... 2: Yes, it leaves behind a wet circle (using the automated feature) after it does it's thing, this is the not a flaw (it would be way more expensive if you had to do nothing)... It wets the area, then scrubs for you, and sucks up what a robot can, then the user comes through with a quick swipe or three from the hand attachment. Presto, done and dry, and only on my knee for about 20 seconds to swipe up the little be of moisture left over. 3: electric and water don't play nice, get the warranty best buy offers (don't be cheap).

If you have dogs or kids or just any carpet at all in general, YOU NEED THIS! Save thousands on professional carpet cleaning! I have THREE dogs (TWO of which are puppies) and not a single carpet stain anymore. I love this thing. The automatic feature works perfectly and so does the hand held for stairs & cars. Buy this, it will save your life, carpet, back, dogs, & marriage.

I have 1 cat, 2 children, and a clumsy, narcoleptic mother in law with a cat and an idiot dog. This machine is amazing, just fill it up, set it on a spill and hit the button, walk away. 1 fill of the tank is good for about 5 cleanings, then empty, refill and ready to go again. Cleaning cycle is between 3-5 min depending on the cycle you choose (it is as loud as a standard vacuum). It cleans a circle about 8 inches across (it takes a pattern of 3-5 cycles to clean a full cup of coffee dropped from the seated position of a standard recliner). They have 2 different cleaning solution formulas, be sure to get the one for this type of machine vs upright vacuum type (it is clearly marked on the front of the bottle). The wrong type will leave slightly crusty rings that have to be vacuumed out. Children can press the buttons, but don't let them carry it up or down stairs or they will drop it and break it and make a mess. I am considering buying a second machine to have one on each floor to avoid this happening again.

Perfect size to handle and store. Easy to use. Cleans carpet very well.

This is a great little machine for spot cleansing. Ease of use is amazing. Just set it over the spot to be cleaned, select type of cleaning, turn on the button and let it do its thing. No need to do anything except wait for the signal it is done. It is one of the easiest machines to use and does a fantastic job.

Works great can be used everywhere you have carpet or upholstery. I really like that you can carry it anywhere to be used. Perfect for you're vehicles. It's light weight also my wife is the one who uses this more & she loves it.

Very light weight. When you use the wand it works great! But the spot removal when you set it down and let it do its thing? ITS WAY TO POWERFUL if you have short carpet.... it kind of wears it down to much. SO only let it clean it a few minutes instead of the long clean. Other than that its awesome

Like robovacs, if you consider this an assistant cleaner (vs a way to avoid cleaning entirely) then you’ll be happy. It certain does make cleaning up cat barf easier and more through. The human still has to do the first part of removing the barf so it doesn’t get rubbed around, but this spot cleaner really handles the rest of the task very well. The dirty water shows that it’s definitely working. The approx 6 inch cleaning area is big enough sometimes, usually need to do two over lapping spots. The bissell spot pet cleaning solutions are supposedly the only product that can be used with this machine,,however that would be extremely expensive in the long run, quickly eclipsing the cost of getting a bigger fancier carpet cleaner. Kinda like ink cartridges... It’s not a quiet machine, but it sure beats scrubbing the carpet, dirtying up rags or using up paper towels. Overall very happy and would buy it again.

I remember my parents having this machine years ago being used for all the pet messes. Now that I have my own place with my own dog messes, it still does a great job. I even used it to shampoo my sofa. My house smells amazing

I am really pleased with the clean up achieved with this handy cleaner. Pet accidents on a couch and a recliner were thoroughly cleaned. It is easy to use with light weight for maneuvering with the furniture and adequate tank to complete the clean up.

With two puppies, there are occasional accidents. Put the Spot Bot on the spot, turn it on and walk away. It beeps when it's done. If the pile has a circular pattern (from the brush motion), easily brushed out. Simple clean up of the Spot Bot as well.

I bought this to clean a carpet with extensive pet stains that resisted sponge cleaning and led us to believe we would have to replace the carpet. With this machine I was able to make repeated, overlapping passes over the soiled area and return the carpet to pristine condition. And while the machine was working its magic, I could walk away and do other things. Love it!
