I'm using this successfully on Windows PCs and an Android phone. I haven't had any major security events, but this seems to be working as well as advertised and evaluated by the various testing labs. There seems to be a minimal impact on system resources, and it's unobtrusive unless notifying you of an event, unlike many of its competitors who constantly try to upsell and cross-sell their other services. It does display on-screen notifications when you try something that one of the optional services works with, but you can disable these easily in the settings, and the software respects your choices. Overall, I'm quite happy with how it works, and how well it stays in the background without interrupting your computing experience. That alone makes it better for me than competing products with similar levels of protection.

Very happy with the service although seems a little bloated which is annoying especially for a security system. Like enforced VPN client download which is only free for 200mb ? Like what the heck is that, and its worse offense is that this program will without question hog THE MOST Memory when running normally. I just opened Task Manager and it is about 307mb of running system memory. It is top quality as an antivirus but dang its a fatty.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! If only I could give 0 stars. This product is TERRIBLE. It works fine I'm sure, like any other A-V, but the products produces very annoying large pop-ups on the computer screen every minute or so, which are useless, just notifying one that BitDefender is doing it's damned job! See screenshot images attached below. Utterly annoying, distracting, useless information. Customer service is TERRIBLE, incompetent and rude. Please research yourself and see reviews online (such as "BitDefender problems" or "turn off BitDefender notifications". Returned after 3 days of complete frustration and bought WEBROOT INTERNET SECURITY PLUS + ANTIVIRUS instead. The Webroot is perfect.

Superb AV software that is fairly easy to install when following instructions from your Best Buy digital library. Protection is adequate to surf the World Wide Web and warns of malicious sites. I’ve seen it blocking many sites due to malicious content. If you have Malware Bytes on the computer you will need to uninstall it and then installation of BitDefender will proceed. After the complete setup is done, you can re-install Malware Bytes and then white page both AV software in their respective sections.

great price and have never got a virus and it runs smooth with out slowing down my computer

I like this product. Bit defender protection against everything. Even also let you know When someone is about to hack Bitdefender will block the hacker and tell you. And it don't weigh your computer down are your cell phone.

It was time to renew my subscription and Bitdefender said they had a great deal for me, but a quick Google search and I saw Best Buy had the same software for about 60% less. I paid online and Best Buy emailed me a code in just a few minutes. I went to the Bitdefender website, logged in and enter the code. My subscription was extended by 1 year and 3 days and was painless except for a tiny dent in my wallet. Very happy with the transaction and will most likely do it again next year if Best Buy has a great sale then.

I previously had Norton and with Bitdefender I found a better security system for my computer. The total security system works very well with its protection from all intrusions, keeping the system clean with the optimizer, and the vpn keeping the internet connection secure. It does not interfere with my computer and offers useful suggestions such as extra protection when conducting high level transactions. After my experience with Norton and reading the reviews of the others security systems out there I would recommend Bitdefender.

I've been using Bitdefender Internet Security for years. With Total Security, I can use it on all my devices, not just laptops. The only issue is that renewing or upgrading to a product purchased at Best Buy is more difficult to complete in the Bitdefender interface. To upgrade and get everything working properly on all my devices, I needed to contact Bitdefender customer support. It was well worth it for the money I saved!

I have tried the best Total Security software with state-of-the-art technology available, and through comparison have found Bitdefender to be superior. I have been a long-time fan of Bitdefender and have recommended and purchased Bitdefender Total Security for my entire family, friends, and business associates. My business laptop was constantly having virus issues, spam, malicious software, etc. Our IT company uninstalled the platform that was under subscription from the purchase and installed Bitdefender. After 1.5hrs of scanning it found and/or deleted or quarantined several hundred tainted files. Keep your information safe from threats, do your research and you'll see that Bitdefender is the real deal.

Bitdefender Total Security runs slower than Norton. Updating scanning is much slower. I brought because of the great price! I have'n't seen it block anything yet. I like the register fixing utility that come with the software.

I buy this security system every year because it works like it suppose to. It’s easy to setup and use immediately. If you need something to protect your devices from unknown threats this is the software you need.

Usually, I renew my antivirus subscription around Thanksgiving and Black Friday because all the stores have promotions during these days. This year was no different, I was able to get a great price for this product. It was so good, that I purchased a one year subscription...twice, so I know that I can sleep well without having to worry that my Bitdefender subscription expires anytime soon. Seriously now, it is a good product. Everyone of us have preferences for different brands and types of antivirus, mine is this. You can buy Bitdefender, or Norton, or McAfee or whatever. At least, I suggest you give this a try. Buy it, you'll be well protected.

I like this product a lot. I would prefer if the VPN feature was not so limited. It’s priced high but worth buying when on sale for a AV you can install and forget about.

If you spend time online you need some type of protection from malicious sites. Bitdefender has had highest reviews for prevention and detection for years from security professionals. It is worth the small investment to prevent potential costly mistakes.

This is the best internet security I have used to date and I like the features it has.

I could no longer tolerate McAfee's intrusive pop-ups and deceptive subscription practices, so I switched to what so many reviewers prefer - Bitdefender Total . I immediately found that the VPN Standard would not connect from Windows or Android, so I filed a support ticket and installed the 7-day trial version of VPN Premium, which did work. After 39 days they still had not fixed Standard and was well into a paid subscription for Premium. I liked how the antivirus worked well enough that I decided to upgrade from an Individual to a Family license, however the webpage would not load even after doing all the usual cache clearing and trying of alternative browsers. An online chat said that this upgrade is not allowed and offered to sell me 3 more licences for a much higher price per user. When I decided to cancel my subscription, I got the usual circular references from Bitdefender and Best Buy. As I researched alternatives, I found that almost the entire personal computer security software industy engages in deceptive and dishonest business practices that are the antithesis of the trusworthiness that they should be building with customers as SECURITY companies. These practices include: poor collection, sharing, and usage of your data (see Consumer Reports); half-off first year teaser subscription rates; automatic renewals that are hard to cancel; features that are only available if you sign up for automatic renewal of your subscription. Not only are some of the antivirus products, as an IT tech used to say, viruses themselves, they have grown to be the scams that they purport to protest us from. I'm now evaluating Total AV and Avira but no security software really ticks all the fundamental boxes.
