Extreme lag time with Bitdefender

I purchased a top of the line PC 4 months ago and it was noticeably slower the minute I installed Bitdefender. It also froze several times doing basic internet browsing with multiple tabs open, which it did not do prior to installing this. It is always running in the background and no way to turn it off unless you stop the entire antivirus program. I've had Webroot for several years and should have just kept that. I have already switched back and Best Buy would not refund my money on Bitdefender because it was a digital item. I highly recommend Webroot and the only reason I switched was because of an online deal for Bitdefender.

You can uninstall the VPN. Also the firewall has an issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator 20 through Microsoft Store/Gamepass. You have to disable the firewall to play MSFS through MS Store/Gamepass.

No mention on VPN hours allowed but found out there is a data cap after installing and tried to use VPN. Customer service was not great because I was misguided that this software allowed unlimited VPN data and that was the decision point for me to buy it.

Please note that Bitdefender VPN is included for all Bitdefender subscriptions, and is limited to a traffic of 200 MB per day and device.
If you wish to use a full version of Bitdefender VPN, you can purchase Bitdefender Premium VPN which allows you to change the server location and benefit of unlimited traffic.

Bitdefender is a mixed bag

The popup says to click for more information but all that appears is a file explorer screen without even indicating what program originated the message. You end up accepting or rejecting the communication without knowing whether or not it is potentially harmful and what program initiated the connection - not very helpful.

It's a great value; the transaction was flawless and the Bitdefender internet security software does the job without hogging up computer resources. These pop-ups from the VPN product are just recommendations to upgrade to the Premium version, as the basic one offers only 200MB/device/day. You should have a STOP button in the product for the Bitdefender VPN pop-ups. Also, the notifications should stop automatically after using the 'dismiss' button for three consecutive notifications.
