    Ok Performer (on Sale)

I bought this sale for $20. Easy to use, read and program the buttons. Display is clear. Auto brew works well. Sneak-a-cup feature---which pauses the brewing process, so you can grab a quick cup without having to wait--works as advertised. I like the removable water basin. It brews a good cup of coffee. Why only 4 stars? It "feels" cheap and fragile. It also makes a somewhat loud clicking noise when it starts brewing. The carafe has to be tilted very slowly when pouring, or the coffee spills out on the sides (slower than my prior coffee machine and others I've owned). In the end, it is a solid performer for the price I paid ($20 on sale). I would not recommend paying full price.

I bought this coffee maker about a year ago. It is honestly a spectacular one for the price. The coffee is still coming out super hot, which is what i wanted. The only thing now is that it isn't supposed to drip when it is done brewing, and it didn't in the beginning, but now it does a little bit. All in all, whenever it does break down, i would buy the same one again.

This was a replacement for our old coffee maker at the office and we don't miss the old one. You can program it so when you arrive in the morning no one has to fight on who has to make coffee. Good choice and fair price too.

I now know what I DON'T want in a coffee maker. You can't see the water level unless you stand over it and look into the reservoir where you're pouring. Yes I could fill the pot with how much I want and pour it in, but I use a pitcher of filtered water instead. Before we installed an under-cabinet light directly over it, I was using my phone flashlight to look down inside to see how much water I put in, and since they levels are only marked at the even numbers, I generally guess where 5 or 7 cups are. The display is VERY hard to read because there's no back lighting. I'm getting old people eyes and have to shine my phone flashlight again to see the digital display and the tiny words that appear over the time. Also, maybe it's just mine but the power button is difficult. I have to push it more than once at least 50% of the time for it to work. And this pot drips! The burner is always covered in something wet. Pull the pot out and it drips EVERY TIME. The one thing I like about it is the option for "strong" coffee setting. It's slower but does make a stronger coffee, otherwise the coffee this maker makes is too weak for me. We did use the program feature a few times and it's nice to wake to a cup of coffee. My next maker will have a back light and a water level display that's easy to see.

While price was the main driver to buy this coffee make for a 5 week holiday need, it proved to be a Jewell which made as good a cup a coffee as this type maker can make!

I couldn't beat the price for this great 12-cup coffee maker. It makes great coffee, has a clock and can be programmed to brew a pot of coffee all for under $20!

    Good coffee-maker, bad pitcher

This coffee-maker is everything promised, but does not get the 5-star rating. The pitcher (carafe) does not pour well! Notsure what the problem is (misshapen lip?) but the pitcher drools every time I add water to make coffee. It will drool when I pour coffee too. It might not spill for you, if you are more patient.

When coffee makers have tradioned to per-cup versions like Keurig, there was such a great value in replcing my standard coffee maker by buying this Black & Decker. Thought the 1-4pot option would allow me to brew smaller pots after filling the water porion fully, but all water is warmed and "brewed" when using this option. The maker does gurgle even out of the box...but to me that brings back memories of my younger days... a familiar sound. Love the carafe!!! Best feature... does not drip when pouring. Sometimes carafe is a little difficult to replace soundly after stealing a cup....so this can create an overflow mess. Not sure if that is an issue with maker or user yet.

When to old coffee marker gave up the ghost I needed a replacement. I didn't want a Keurig so after a little research I found this B&D. It has more features than I use but the important thing is it makes good coffee! It is cost effective and easy to use. Everything I look for in a coffee maker. Ok, B&D isn't known for coffee but it makes good joe. Enjoy!

    Love the Auto Clean

Not gonna lie thought what is auto clean and why do I need it? It runs like you're brewing a regular pot but stops half way through and holds the vinegar in the pipe to loosen all the build up then finishes the cycle. Does a MUCH better job of cleaning that way. You have this half pot/strong option, again what is this? Apparently when you only make a half of a pot it brews it differently so you get a stronger more robust taste. The reason I gave it three stars us the display. It's very difficult to read. Very dark. Even though it's black on gray it would benefit from backlighting. But, I've had this for about 2 1/2 years now. Ran the clean cycle maybe 6 or 7 times and it still runs like a champ and greats me each morning with a fresh brewed cup so I'm happy.

I had to buy a new coffeemaker when I gave my old one away so I could upgrade. This one was exactly what I needed! It is really easy to work you can brew small to large, program, and stop in the middle if you can't wait (but its really quick so I haven't needed to). No complaints, and I have been using for a couple of months now.

I bought this for my husband so that he can brew coffee. I usually do the instant coffee but this was perfect for his needs because he doesn't need a large pot. It was a little challenging at first getting it started but once we passed that stage then using it was easy!
