Had to buy as I love anything Marvel and DC esp in 4K Blu ray. The detail and CGI even in dark and shadowy content was very precise and detailed. Of course it revealed the flaws inherent with my TV but it was never bothersome or distracting.

Black Panther feels like it's quite a bit different than your normal MCU film. This movie did a better job of really showing a unique culture in a way that movies taking place in literal space couldn't manage. The movie itself is its own thing in almost every respect. For some people who are going in expecting an average MCU film, they might end up being disappointed. The film itself is propped up by an understandable villain, unique characters, and some good moral questions. It isn't going to bash too hard at the big issues. But it does use them as a base for the setting and conflict. Which is a nice change of pace in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that there wasn't a Bluray DVD combo package. I'm not going to take a star off as that doesn't affect the quality of the movie or features. But it's something that really annoys me.

I don't usually buy a movie as there are so many ways to simply view it for its own sake - for virtually 'little cost'. However, there were so many cinematic treats and CGI scenes I want to stop-rewind-pause and study what the director and creators of this movie have put into it, I went to purchase the 4K version to simply treat myself to a wonderful visual feast. The 4-K disc did NOT disappoint me; I kept finding 'new discoveries" even after 4 times viewing.

Best Buy is the only place you can get the Steelbook version of this excellent Marvel movie. If you are a Marvel fan this is the way to go. I saw this movie in theaters about 4 different times and each time there was something new to appreciate. Now with the unfortunate passing of Chadwick Boseman (Blackpanter) this movie is even more important. Get it while you still can!

I loved this movie at the theater, but I loved this movie even more on this 4k version at home. One of the better Disney soundtracks. I thought it contains some beautiful scenes and the HDR makes some of the scenes look incredible! A definite add to your home collection, disney + subscription or not!

I loved this from the get go, and then working on Creed 2 and then 21 Bridges, I got to be friends with the leads. It's a sad thing to know Chad won't be around, but all the energy he put into this showed wonderfully. Michael too, there was a whole team of people trying their best to make this a mega success, and by the art in itself and box office success, that alone brought it up. The story is a sad one and it comes to a boiling point with one of those "oh...man" moments. You will love it if you love marvel.

A superb film based on a minor Marvel Superhero. A fantastic cast, great effects & costumes ensure another hit for Marvel/Disney. Surprisingly, the weakest performance was by the late Chadwick Boseman, but so many others like Leticia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B Jordan were so above average, you barely notice.

This review is for the Steelbook packaging only as the contents are the same as the original release. The cover art is way different and much more special than the standard release, in my opinion. I also won the Steelbook lottery with this one as there weren't any dents or scratches on the case!

To me, 'Black Panther' is the best marvel movie about 1 character. They were able to bring the character, Wakanda, the lore, etc. to life. The response to the film showed the people really felt they did it justice. So much so, it's the reason the last 2 avengers films featured so much of wakanda. As for details about the film: acting, story, setting, directing, etc. all amazing. Also, marvel was able to fix their villain problem, at least for 1 movie. Killmonger is an engaging villain, and holds his own, isnt just fodder for the hero. Speaking of the hero, black panther, he lives up the lore in the comics. From the tech to the fighting skills to the intelligence, it's all being presented. Would highly recommend watching this movie.

One of the best from MCU! I enjoyed this film at the movie theater and I've watched it about 3-4 times since then. Finally got it and added to my Marvel collection and watched it again twice since I bought it (on Oct. 31-2020). I'm so happy to have this movie on Blue-ray, video and audio quality is just amazing and I'm so glad I got it for a really lower price. Best Buy is just the best!!!

One of the best MCU movies as its characters are both complex and capable of making mistakes. You may find yourself rooting for the antagonist as much as for the protagonist. And, you will definitely be disappointed by the decisions both make. It is not often that an MCU movie presents characters who go beyond beyond avatars of good and bad.

This is probably the only film from the entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that I have watched and thoroughly enjoyed. The late, great, Chadwick Boseman masterfully portrayed the title character.

Love Chadwick Boseman, RIP. We had already seen it and wanted the 4K version for our home collection. Sadly it wasn't as good as we originally remembered it. Frankly it was a bit plodding because the one-liners didn't have their original punch. Hate to admit we didn't finish watching it. Highly recommend it if you've never seen it, but its rewatchability is low, imo.

Awesome movie! The case for the Blu ray was nice and we really enjoyed the movie!

The unexpected death of Chadwick Boseman made this movie all the more memorable

Now, I realize that this movie disappointed some fans due to the lack of a lot of action happening throughout the film, unlike other MCU films, however, I think that what makes a great movie, regardless of genre, isn't necessarily the action, or how the actors look, but character, and this movie delivers. T'Challa was a great protagonist with relate ability, and likability that stayed consistent with what we saw in Civil War, and built upon it. I liked all of the other characters, including T'Challa's sister and his ex-girlfriend. Killmonger is the main villain of the film, and deserves credit for his sympathy for others of his race who've suffered discrimination from Europeans through history up to the present. They also set up his backstory pretty well and make him a legitimately intimidating villain who is able to more than hold his own against T'Challa in a fight. The story is also very well written and includes some commentary against choosing to be an isolated nation, as is made apparently when that choice of Wakanda's people came back to haunt them when Killmonger arrives there. It also, really puts America's history of trying to stay isolated via the Monroe Doctrine into perspective, as well as caring more about protecting yourselves as a society as opposed to helping others. The film is also beautiful to watch, and actually makes the most of the few action scenes it has. The actors do excellent in portraying their characters too, and each character arc is fleshed out pretty well in the film. The only issue I have is...I would have LOVED to have seen Kraven The Hunter in the movie! Hope he makes an appearance in the sequel. Overall, I recommend this movie to any Black Panther fan, and any Political movie person as well.

Greatest movie ever made and be proud to buy and watch over and over again.

Terrific movie, especially in 4K. The picture is amazing and the sound quality is outstanding.

Great packaging. No damages product. Amazing film. Filled with so much action. Can’t wait for the next installment.
