I am a pirate fan. Even the Disney sort. This is a series I can't get enough of! I'm waiting on season 2's deliverie now. 3 should be out on blue Ray soon and season 4 is starting on t.v. soon too! I can't wait to see what's next!

This show was a real surprise it is just a must see for anyone who likes quality and I was never a pirate fan before but with this show I make a true exception. The story, cast and locations are great it has become one of my top10 favorites.

Started watching Season 2 and realized I HAD to have Black Sails Season 1 Love the show. The language is a bit coarse for my taste, and not appropriate for children. However, the the acting, wardrobe etc are simply amazing! Must See

This is the type of show that has something for everyone! Mystery, suspense, beautiful people, locations and loads of action. The Fight scenes are great! A must see for lovers of the genre and anyone that enjoys a great production!!

I really like this series. I bought it to share with my brother. The ships are amazing. Sometimes they talk too much and there's more adult scenes than I think are necessary, but overall it's a dramatic pirate show. The scenes with ship battles are the best.

Series begins near the end of days of pirate lifestyle as England, France, and Spain import and export in the colonies. Focus is mainly with one pirate captains last score, the secret he keeps, a new crewman, and the pirate sanctuary. (season one)

Love the black sails series. They did do a lot of good with this series. It's not for kids at all. Some parts of series your actually watching XXX. They really go the extra mile with the XXX scenes. FYI.

the quality of the show is fantastic, the bluray has excellent video and the 7.1 sound is fantastic. this show is gritty and well acted.

I've seen some episodes of Black Sails digitally, but at the price of 7.99, wanted to own the dvds as well. This series, while definitely not for any younger viewers, is one that begs you to binge it all the way through. The title sequence is amazing.

This is a great series on Starz. I do not have Starz as part of my cable package, so I bought this highly regarded television series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to season 2 when it becomes available.

Pirates as they should be - rowdy, bawdy and fighting aplenty. This is not the Disney version of pirating, and definitely not for kids or the faint of heart. The MA rating is there for a reason, folks. Love this series!

This is the best pirate show out there. The actors and actresses are very entertaining. The shows story line keeps you wanting more. The show has has lots of action scenes and will keep you laughing. Highly recommend.

Love the writing and the acting in this series. Is for a mature audience - contains quite a bit of violence and other adult themes that the review algorithm is censoring. Story is wonderful and complex.

I was so excited when this came out on blu ray. I had only seen the first episode and I was hooked. Wish the season had more episodes but the actors and story line was excellent! Can't wait for season 2.

Wow, this was a great series. Plenty of action and very well acted. Had to watch all episodes in one overnight sitting. Then went out and bought Season 2. Will be looking for the 3rd season on TV.

Black sails season 1 is a great start to a time period. The characters are ones that most of you have heard of and it is a super show. The cast is perfect and work well together.

Awesome show with a lot of great character development. Not as action oriented as previews led me to believe but I am not bothered by this. Blu ray picture is gorgeous with lots of scenery and close ups to show off how good it looks.

This is the first season of what I hope will be many yet too come. Once you start watching its addictive. Wait till you have a couple of hours and binge watch the weekend away. Enjoy.

A guilty pleasure watching completely non-historic pirates. This started as a free preview and ended up with me buying the series. I liked the first season (this one) better.

From the first episode to the last episode Journey Through History murder Mayhem and old pirate swashbuckling fun will watch many times to come can't wait to see the next season
