This was a great movie and wonderful addition to my collection of Marvel movies. I loved Black Widow is in my top 5 MCU movies and it is also a wonderful spy thriller. It was the movie I had waited for for almost a decade and it delivered. Black Widow is a perfect mix of dark and gritty mixed with the humor that you'd expect in these types of movies. It is Scarlett Johansson's swan song for the character and a wonderful ending to Natasha Romanoff. The action is well-edited and shot. the pacing of the movie has a great flow with a good balance of high stakes action with a good amount of character study for Natasha Romanoff. Also for me, this is the best-looking 4K Marvel Blu-ray that I own. The colors pop, the dark scenes are easy to understand and see. If you have only seen this movie on Disney+ you are doing yourself a disservice by not purchasing the 4k Blu-ray. It is a must if you are an MCU completionist like me or if you are a fan of spy thrillers. As a superhero movie, it is really well done and as a spy thriller, it is up there with some of the best Bond, Bourne, and Mission Impossible movies. In short, you are missing out on one of the best action movies of the year if you do not purchase this film.

The 4K looks excellent and the audio is on-spot, as is usually the case with Disney UHDs of recent movies. This movie starts at a disadvantage because it's like a prequel, taking place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, and Endgame changes everything for the Black Widow. But Scarlett Johannson's character, long a staple of the Marvel Universe (predating all other female super-hero characters in the same universe) finally gets to tell her own story. I was skeptical going in, not only because of the natural prequel issues, but also because Black Widow has always come across rather one-note in the MCU movies, outside of her role in Civil War and her flirtations with Bruce Banner. At last, though, this film builds a backstory and creates a foundation for who she is apart from the Avengers--and her story makes her role in the Avengers and what they mean to her all the more powerful. The action sequences are solid and worthy of Marvel's standard, but the real draw here, what sets this movie apart from the other Marvel outings, is the relationship between Natasha Romanov and her screwed-up family, all ably played by Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Rachel Weisz. Marvel's solo movies are always stronger when the supporting cast enriches the world of the main character, and this movie succeeds here. It's an enjoyable and emotional movie (my niece's favorite MCU film). Action-wise, it doesn't reinvent anything; but the bigger problem is that it's hard to see a sequel for this one that works as well, given the outcome in Endgame. Still, if we have just one dance with the Widow, it was a good one.

After the criticisms and reviews and scandals, my expectations were low. But I’ve come to the conclusion that you simply can not trust the vaulted opinions of people watching these movies through the lenses of politics and personal beliefs. The wrong people are reviewing the wrong movies, and it’s a shame people allow themselves to be swayed or tainted by unqualified and uninformed, and often delusional opinions. Blackwidow is a surprisingly funny movie despite the intensity and emotional volatility of the main characters. When you expect violence and destruction, you get love and forgiveness, and then comes the violence and destruction. This was a pleasant tangent in the Marvel machines progress through its multiverse. Worth buying and watching, without biases and stained options. Scarlett Johansson keeps being sleek-and-shiny charming, and ever so intriguing, while Natasha Romanoff is a flawless fighting force of destruction. Florence Pugh made for a pleasant surprise, an amazingly engaging second Blackwidow, and perfect baby sister to Natasha. I am looking forward to seeing more Blackwidow movies.

This movie is very okay....not as good as many other Marvel films

Scarlet Jo is incredible. I've been a fan since Iron Man 2. She is a great role model for my girls or any one. This movie seemed to be another example of too many executives getting involved. The ending made no sense and we still have to see what VAL is up to. I mean, I guess.. if its not broken, don't fix it but this insert superhero here, insert broken, sympathetic villain here plot is getting a little old. Its the MCU, we could live with some interesting unresolved issues. Nothing unresolved in this film was interesting. Her sister was great in Hawkeye, but even that was a little forced. Who knows, I'm getting too old for this s'tuff'.

Black Widow was one of the origin Avenger stories that was dangled in front of fans for a long time before finally coming to fruition last year. The movie itself tells the harrowing tale of Natasha Romanova, (fictional Avengers character), in how she became the elite agent fighting with the Avengers and how her past catches up with her. Personally, I thought the film was well done. The 4K release really is reference quality material both visually and with its Dolby Atmos soundtrack. I highly recommend the movie especially if you are a fan of the series.

I loved the video. How can anyone not love Black Widow's final movie in the MCU. The action scenes are great. I loved the dialog interplay with her sister, father and mother. Scarlett was a terrific selection to play the Widow from her first inclusion in Iron Man 2, so this is a great sendoff for her. Plus, I waited patiently for the Blu-Ray/digital, so that sales would probably be received by her, than going digital from Disney plus. Knowing Marvel, I know enough that 'death' is never final in the Universe, so she's young enough that one day, we may see her again. Never say Never. Oh snap, Bond quote, but it holds for her too.

Scarlett Johansson made me fall in love with her after that fight scene in Iron Man 2 and Natasha reveal herself. I couldn’t miss the chance to see her back story. Now if you own a blu-ray, you intend to collect these DVD. Black widow was a long story. I’m not familiar with the comic book story so, I can’t say how close they came to on screen. This will appeal to the 70 & 80’s babies that can appreciate a good spy drama. The young folks 90’s to present is gonna have to do a little googling to understand the way things use to be in the pre-computer era.

It’s been a year waiting on Black Widow to hit theaters but boy was the wait worth it. Black Widow takes place between Civil War and Infinity War; so we see what Natasha was up to during those two films. And we also learn more about her backstory and people from her past. You also get to see how Taskmaster is linked to Natasha’s past before she joined SHIELD. Overall Black Widow is a good film worth watching especially if you enjoyed Captain America The Winter Solider or The Falcon And The Winter Solider.
