Smooth and sleek- Best BB yet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Blackberry phones since before 2005. The Key2 is the best one yet. The physical keyboard is amazing. It also has a pop up screen keyboard. I love the hub which allows you to see all emails, text messages, Facebook notifications, BBM, etc. in one window. The camera is top quality. Best of all, it uses Android system and Google Playstore has all the apps you'll ever need. One minor complaint is the numbers on the physical keyboard are very light and hard for me to read without reading glasses, but it is easy to cure by clicking the on screen keyboard for numbers. This phone is a must have for serious business persons.

My dream phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After being a BB user for the last 10-plus years -- and a faithful Q10 user for the last 3-4 years -- I was devastated when BB closed up shop and heard the news that T-Mobile would no longer carry them. Nor did they have any replacements left in stock when my latest Q10 bit the dust from old age. But it was the best thing that could have happened to me -- or I would never have stumbled upon the Key2. I've always been weary of unlocked phones (such a gamble) as some sadly haven't worked for me in the past. But Best Buy's Key2 works in sync (with my T-Mobile at least) flawlessly. And what an amazing phone!!! Gorgeous screen. Sleek design. Great sound and clarity. Call reception is crisp and I've never dropped a single one so far. Battery life is unheard of -- a guaranteed 2 days. Sometimes longer. And the keyboard (which is why we BB lovers stay true) is fantastic. Bigger and easier to use than any previous Bold, Curve or Q10 I've had in the past. As for the negatives. it takes a bit of getting used to such a size difference between the smaller models I previously owned. The sleep (lock/unlock button) which normally would be on the top of the phone is now on the side right by the volume rocker buttons. That's unfortunate as I find myself touching it inadvertently every time I hold it. Perhaps the biggest issue with the Key2 for me is that it can do so much and there's so much to learn -- in terms of how to use it -- but the micro set up book included doesn't really tell you much of anything. Very sadly, T-Mobile has discontinued tech support for BB -- so there isn't anyone to ask how to do things (perhaps the only reason I would even dare consider using an iPhone). But the risks are worth the reward. I highly recommend this one if you love BBs and need that physical keyboard.

Call quality/keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all I want to say I love BlackBerry. The key 2 was a bit disappointing. Sound quality on earpiece was noisy with interference. I have at&t. I used it for 2 weeks. Signal was bouncy at times. Keyboard was a big improvement with key size but at times while typing the onscreen keyboard would pop up. I had it completely turned off in settings. Also arrow keys would pop up for no reason. The key2 was fast with no lag. The camera I found to be quite adequate. Screen was good and bright. Speakerphone was loud but flat in sound no bais. Battery was almost 2 days with normal use. It's possible I could have received a slightly defective phone. Otherwise it was a nice phone.i did return it due to the minor annoyances.

awesome phone could always use improvments
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is my second blackberry. I had the keyone by sprint. want a keyboard phone. this one is better than the keyone but still boring as nothing has changed dramatically. I enjoy the battery life. wish the screen was larger and a way faster processor. I want more control the keyboard backlight like how long it stays on. I would like to have more color selection for the phone like blue or white as an option. I want to remove the camera short cut on the lock screen. everything else is fine. love how it's NOT glass backed. I can actually use the phone and not worry about breaking it. battery lasts me a full day with super heavy use. two days with just regular use. I have had people ask about this phone when sitting on the table while my gf has her new Samsung note sitting on the table too.

Solid phone, excellent battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from KeyOne to the Key2. Nice improvements. Battery life is impressive, actually lasts all day. Better performance than the KeyOne as well. 64 gig internal memory is an added plus, much more room everything. Slightly larger screen is also nice. So far, no complaints.

I wanted to love it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited about this phone, as it looked good and seemed to be a good next iteration of last years KeyOne. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations, mainly for the lack of a good camera (even though it is meant for business, I want to be able to take good photos), and the rather oldish appearance of all the BlackBerry apps. I wished BlackBerry's own software would be a bit more modern to compliment the otherwise fantastic looks of the phone.

Great Phone, Great delivery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phone works great but please check the instructions for inserting the pin to access SIM card/SD card tray. Otherwise you could damage your microphone. Battery is awesome with tons of customization to optimize. Best Buy delivered this much faster than the other major seller was able to.

Blackberry's Back
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched and found that Best Buy had this device available with the updated Android offerings. It far surpasses the BB Priv and the lower priced wanna be Key2. The feel is sturdy, the battery life exceptional, the camera is superb, it has the preferred hardware QWERTY keyword with an optional on screen soft keyboard .... I'm thankful Best Buy is smart enough to carry this brand of smartphone. Don't be afraid to come back ...

nice build quality, great features.... but
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I write emails and text all the time, so after years of auto correct with Swype, I decided to buy my first Blackberry. I've been pleased with the phone.... EXCEPT... a few months after I got it, it suddenly had problems with WiFi connection. Really weird problem. I could be on Twitter, Facebook.. no problem. Click on a link to go read a news article, and I'd get a connection error. tried network reset, hard reset of phone several times. sent bug reports to blackberry. they insisted it was a hardware issue and I should send it back. I resisted for a long time, because I didn't want to be without my phone, and really, should I be spending THAT much time reading articles posted on Facebook and Twitter. Probably not. I think my productivity actually went UP because of this problem, and also because the Blackberry is such an awesome business machine. But I digress... fast forward 6 months or so... I purchased a new phone system for my company that required me to install a softphone app on my phone. started having connectivity issues again. Dealbreaker for me. So I'm sending my phone back to Blackberry to fix or replace. We'll see how it goes. I'm not convinced it's a hardware issue. I've read online that Twitter and Gmail and FB all youse IPV6 protocol, and the problem may be the handoff from a service running in IPV6 to a site that is still on IPV4... and the software just drops connection in the handover over WiFi. ( no problem with this on LTE) So anyway, fingers crossed... sending in my device for a fix.

Nice try ... But has unforgiving flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Blackberry Key2 seemed promising. The keyboard is amazing. Took just a few days to get use to it but it's amazing. Speakers are surprisingly loud. The battery is incredible. Lasts up to 2 days of heavy use. It's a fast phone with no lags. However, the following issues were a deal breaker for me. 1) Proximity Sensor issues. When making a phone call or receiving, your face will press the Speaker, Mute or Hold button. Or, you find yourself in the contact list after you end a call and you need to navigate back to the call display to hang up. 2) When making an outbound calls, sometimes the call unintentionally switches automatically to Speaker. 3) When you put the phone on vibrate, and toggle back to ringtone notification, the phone remains in vibrate, and you need to restart the phone or play with the sound to get it off vibrate mode. These issues forced me to return the phone. TCL is almost there, maybe an update will fix this. If not, better luck with Key3

not quite as great as I had hoped
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.people say the battery life is great. i get by on one charge a day, and the phone is new. i do not get the reported 2 days, and my battery monitor never said so either from the start. this is not better than when i got a new samsung. 6GB ram...again, as far as processing, not seeing how thing beats my 4GB samsung active s7. does not seem faster. it has a hard time displaying all of my photos contained in a folder at once. sound recorder is better than most downloadable apps. connectivity to bluetooth, new or saved wifi, searching for devices to mirror takes awhile and may not find what you are looking for. you really have to wait awhile. if you have problems connecting to a wifi that you know is there, restart the phone. again, i have to say this was not a problem for the samsung. ergonomically speaking, the blackberry classic is still the best fit for your hands. if they could take that phone and repeat all the bells and whistles of this one, they would have a good machine. oddly, this does not come with a music player. i have found that the Pi app is a good one. happy to have the accuracy of a keyboard back

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My dad's in his mid-60s and therefore not very tech-savvy; he's had Blackberry devices ever since he still worked in Border Patrol and likes the familiarity of it to this day. Additionally, he prefers a physical keyboard over touchscreen, so having a device that is still fairly current/newish and has a keyboard makes him happy! Great product that suits his needs!

Keyboard is excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Obviously, BlackBerry is known for security and their iconic keyboard. I think they nail both of those with this phone. The keys feel great and the keyboard is fun and speedy to type on. The security is handled well on the software level. Plenty of cool features if you need to protect your information. I did not give it five stars only because the hardware (processor, camera) is not up to par with the other flagship phones that are around the same price range.

Great device, even worth upgrading from KEYone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned every BB ever made and I can say this is one of the best BlackBerry devices to come along in a long time. The ad says "An Icon Reborn" - and when you type on it you will know why- because it feels just like the old Bold keyboard. Only thing missing is the curved frets. But the keyboard feel is fantastic- MUCH improved over the KEYone. If you are debating this phone, or even have a KEYone and trying to decide if you want to upgrade to this - do it- you won't be disappointed. The extra memory and faster CPU help it as well. Well worth the upgrade.

Excellent phone. Fast and reliable.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is best BlackBerry on the market. It is sleek, fast, dependable, and the PKB is awesome. I'm aware of the negative BlackBerry press but don't knock it if you haven't tried it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

A real keyboard is so much better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s be real it’s all about the keyboard. Have a physical keyboard makes emails and texts so much easier. I do a significant amount of work on my phone and this makes it so much easier. I love this phone. I wish Apple would offer a physical keyboard. It would be perfect.

great blackberry android phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned it now 17 months and this is a great phone. I have been a blackberry person for many many years and am sad to see that this phone ,Key2 ,may be one of the last to carry the name-as TCL has ended the manufacturing license with them. I previously owned all in house manufactured phones from blackberry.still own and use a Passport.I was a bit leery of getting a TCL phone but this is a well made, solid phone. There were reported problems with key1 screen but no such issues with this phone. Not a big fan of android and this would have been great with BBOS10 but that is not going to happen.Sadly. I gotit unlocked and it worked very well with tmobile. Being unlocked there was virtually no bloatware.
