Great for productivity, not for pictures

I will attempt to keep this short, but doubt I will. Bar none this phone will take the cake for battery life compared to any phone of standard size (hard to compare against the S9+ or oversized phones). I ordered it based on wanting a phone that would last all day without issues and this exceeds that expectation. Easily over a full day of use, albeit I'm not a heavy media user. The numerous options for shortcuts, which are completely customizable, is truly a blessing compared with phones which only continue to remove physical buttons. I am not a fan of the voice commands on phones and much prefer quick shortcuts to cut to the chase. I love swiping my finger to unlock the phone then simply holding a key to speed dial anyone without really looking or digging into apps. Leaving the convenience key open to the user is a huge win over the S8 which locks theirs to bixby. The biggest failure on the phone is the camera for low light or the selfie camera. It does well during the day for the rearward facing camera but the front facing camera could use some love along with low light shots. I, personally, don't buy my phones for cameras but worth mentioning. After all that I will state that I am returning the phone. Mine arrived with the "n" key requiring a hard press to register during typing compared to the remainder of the keyboard. Every word requiring the letter "n" is usually misspelled due to a missing "n" unless I'm diligent at pressing the "n" with more pressure. This just puts a shadow of doubt about the physical keyboard longevity. Unfortunately, BestBuy, wouldn't allow me to hold onto the unit until a backorder unit arrived as the exchange requires to take place within 14 days. I would say this is a unique scenario where the exchange item is on backorder and probably requires a more unique solution, but I won't beat a dead horse. Also, I had gone through two KeyOne's...one with speaker phone issues and the other with cell signal failures...so for me this is the 3rd strike and confirms TCL/Blackberry are still struggling with quality. I could be attracted to lemons, but that's my personal experiences thus far. Based on the camera and initial quality issue I dropped the rating one star per issue. I would still recommend the product for work users and those who enjoy productivity shortcuts. To clear up early reviews about screen brightness, speed of phone, and speakers...I found no issues with any of those particular items. Screen is plenty bright enough, speaker works just as well as every other phone, and the CPU is completely fine for this phone (the convenience button with shortcuts switches apps very quickly). Plus, how can you go wrong with 6GB of RAM while other flagships still use 4 (outside the plus sized phones).

    Get things done FAST!

I have been looking for a phone with a keyboard to assist in quicker typing/responses with greater accuracy (my job depends on it). The KEY2 is fabulous! It is responsive, feels like a top of the line phone, and looks different (which I love in this day of Iphone and Samsung EVERYWHERE). The camera takes a little getting used to, but candidly I did not buy this phone for the camera. The battery makes my day stress free. My old Samsung S8 would run out of battery midway through the day. With the KEY2 I leave my house first thing in the morning and NEVER have to worry about finding a charge. If you want a phone to give time back in your day, this is the phone for you. I love it!!!

Even Better than the BB Passport

My review of the Key 2 is for anyone out there who is still using a Blackberry Passport and thinks that the Passport cannot be surpassed. The Blackberry Passport was my main phone for the last 5 years and I probably would have used it for even longer if it hadn't been stolen recently. Screen: I was unsure if I'd be able to get used to a narrow rectangular screen versus a square screen, but the blackberry apps, like hub, and overall design have been configured beautifully to make the transition of screen shapes easy. Keyboard: I found that the Key 2's keyboard is actually easier to use than the passport's. One major issue on the passport was the placement of the 'enter' button that occasionally caused me to send texts by accident, but this problem is solved by the new layout. The buttons feel amazing. I highly recommend this phone for anyone looking for anyone who still uses a blackberry passport and thinking about upgrading.

    The perfect phone for me

I originally bought the Samsung S9, however the LED screen, mixed with the high resolution made me dizzy and naugtious due to a sensitivity that I have. Blackberry is one of the few companies, if not the only company producing high end phones with LCD displays, which helps my issues. I have not gotten dizzy yet and I've had the phone for over a week. The physical keyboard is incredible, and is fantastic for shortcuts, the phone is fast, with no delay, as it has a powerful processor. The Blackberry launcher in Android works very well for convenience, and I find it to be more convenient than Samsung phones. This phone has more security features than I have seen in a phone, and the only downside is the awkward aspect ratio, but there is no way to get around that, and it doesn't affect me, but if your playing games a lot you may notice it.

Battery last all day long and I'm a high user, plus camara and response of the phone after opening few apps and working all at the same time is excellent also, I can't forget the first Blackberry phone in the market with 6gb, this is supernatural.

I have always been an avid BlackBerry fan simply because I love the keyboard. The Key 2 doesn't disappoint. I love the new spacing of the keys. This phone is an android so I am able to use all of the apps I used when I had a Galaxy phone. It's a slightly slower processor so switching between apps is a half of a second slower etc... but the phone is all I desired and I am very happy with my purchase.

I LOVE my new Blackberry! I was a longtime Blackberry fan but then I really wanted more apps, better camera etc and made the reluctant switch. But this phone has everything I ever wanted in a Blackberry and more! The battery is outstanding, the keyboard is the best I have ever had in a blackberry, it runs the newest Android and the camera is dual which means I can do portrait mode!! All in all, it's worth the switch back. love!

    Ok at best...

I had the black version for one day before returning it. The space bar was a little looser then the rest of the keys; a minor annoyance but not a deal breaker. Screen is ok..build quality is ok..the phone is light which makes it feel cheap to me. Keyboard was too cramped for me. The phone performed admirably considering it is using an older Snapdragon processor. All and all, this phone just didn't offer enough to warrant the $700 asking price (after taxes). There are a number of phones with more power, features, and better builds that cost less then this phone (OnePlus 6, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Essential Phone). I think BlackBerry still has the chance to retain and build upon it's faithful user base..but the BlackBerry Key2 is not it. This phone should be about $399.00 at most. If the price ever drops down to this..I MIGHT consider buying it again.

I'd been waiting for this phone and "Chat" and store personnel said it'd work with Verizon. Got it in less than 48 hours and spent 3 hours in the store the next day before finally realizing that it will not work on the Verizon network, even though "Verizon Wireless" was showing on the upper left line of the phone and it had their SIM card. Had blackberry before 2 samsungs and wanted additional security it provided. Really wish it'd work with Verizon.

I'm a Blackberry Passport diehard - that is my barometer. That was the best phone ever! Of course I've had Blackberries going back about 20 years - yes the Bold was the best before the Passport. So the Key 2 LE? It's LE. The keyboard is not the best - but not bad. Android is kinda slow and I'm thinking of getting a real Key2 instead to see how that is..

Front Camera is nothing but trash.Called blackberry support and they don't have any solution. Didn't work with air watch and VM boxer for exchange integration. Keypad scrolling was slow. I had this for couple of hours and I paid penalty of $35.In my hospital everyone warned me to avoid this phone and I didn't listen so I paid for not listening to them.

    Not well made.

I have owned lots of different premium phones. iPhones, Samsung, LG, HTC and, of course, Blackberry. I had hoped that the reviews were accurate that the Key2 build quality was similar or better than Blackberry phones in the past and generally as good as other premium phones. But what a disappointment. After three months one speaker is no good and the space bar is hit or miss. Also, the capacitive keys are too easily pressed by mistake. I wish it weren't true, because there are no physical keyboard (which is generally good, other than the space key) alternatives, but the Key2 is just not a well made product.

No wifi calling. Inferior camera. Loose spacebar.

Warning! Wifi calling will not work on this phone for tmobile even if it worked with the key1. I have always loved blackberries but this is unfair. They intentinally disabled it without explaining why. Next, the cameral is inferior to key1 in low light. Next, the space bar is flimsy and feels like it will fall off. My first 2 complaints should have been disclosed by bb. Hence I regret buying it.
