Bought for a 75 year old neighbor. She used a blackberry many years ago without issue. Phone seems like a great improvement but just too small for her.

This phone has so much potential when everything is working the way it is supposed to. However more often than not it isn't, there are frequent app crashes, plus the overall construction is so poor that within 3 months of purchase the back of the phone has warped and disconnected from the phone. Keep in mind I have had this phone in a case since the minute it came out of the box.

    Premium Experience

50% charge out of the box, never got lower. Fast shipping, good tracking (email notifications) and the UPS guy insisted on handing it to someone (instead of leaving it on the porch). Good job, Verizon, for helping set me up with a SIM card, when my old one was too large. Coming from a six-yr-old Blackberry Z-10, I miss the business-first attitude of BB10, but not the phone. I gave this one a leather flip case and will never look back. I admit I couldn't afford the old price, but when Best Buy dropped it by $100, the Keyone is now the best phone you can get for the buck. Never mind it's as thick as two I-phones, this is a big battery with a powerful phone strapped to it. I got two days use (w GPS, wifi search, video recording and flash photography). I even found the flashlight. The phone looks premium, acts premium and the keyboard stands out as a professional productivity tool like none other. I have no idea why all other phone makers ditched their keyboard designs, because this Keyone will fill a need for those who worry about accuracy, looking smart and standing out as the smartest person in the room.

Great phone ! Been reliable as I dropped in in a water bowl - lost microphone for a while but blew hard into mic holes and sound came back. Love the keyboard ! Camera is good - no issues in dark or light. Bluetooth/Wifi/location work great - Battery lasts solid 2 days !!

    Change of Pace

It has been a change of pace from the I Phones that I have used over the last 6 years. I enjoy using the keyboard and the easy use of Keyboard shortcuts. The long battery life is amazing, I've only had to charge my phone overnight and did not have to find a charger two or three times throughout the day. The camera is pretty good and the sounds are great. Overall a great phone, Blackberry's & Android together has made a solid device, still some improvements needed but you'll enjoy this phone.

First of all, this phone is truly remarkable. Some have cited that the processor is not strong enough to adequately power this phone, but I disagree. You may not be able to hard core game with perfect frame rates on this phone, but why would you? This phone is for serious people. It's a phone for those who want to get things done--and fast. I find that this phone can easily manage the rigors of multi-tasking and Web browsing. The KeyOne is a beast. The battery life is phenomenal. I wasn't sure just how great it would be, but it has certainly exceeded my expectations. it is definitely an all day battery. The keyboard is obviously a huge plus for me. I am constantly sending emails and text messages and have been so happy with the speed and accuracy of this keyboard. The touch sensitive keys are rather useless in my opinion but I do like the idea here. Bottom line, if you want a phone to game with and watch movies all day long then forget this review. This is the nicest phone I've ever owned and I can't wait to see what BB & TCL have for us in the future! Great job BlackBerry!! 5 STARS!

    Best Phone Ever

This phone is fast. It is great to type on. The screen is beautiful and clear. Android 7 is responsive and friendly. Overall this is the best phone I have owned. I have had all of the OS phones. Just left Windows Phone (had many with the latest the Lumia 950, their flagship). Windows phone was great but lacked app support. Then I tried the iPhone 7 (had iPhone 4 in the past). That was too complicated and had unnecessary logins, confirmation screens and had to sign up for all of their cloud services just to use the phone. Then I went to this Blackberry KeyOne. I had a blackberry in the past and went away because of dwindling app support. But the KeyOne coupled with Android and Google Play is the most excellent combination. I can't say enough great things about this phone. The battery life is superb. Overall it is a great, easy, and fun phone experience. If you are on the fence then give it a try. You won't be disappointed. It looks sharp too!

    CDMA (for Verizon) KeyOne

First day out of the box, and all is well. Seamless sim card transition from my Verizon BlackBerry Classic - all managed on-line with Verizon, didn't even need to speak to a rep. Added my Office 365 account without difficulty and everything synching properly. Adding apps from Google Play a piece of cake. On the road now, left the city, and have Verizon service all the way. Keyboard is an easy transition from the Classic, capacitive screen is very responsive, no lag launching apps. So far, I'm thrilled!

I have owned Blackberry phones since they were born. This one is a monster; it is super fast and very easy to operate. Ideal mobile phone for yourself and your employees. Love the keyboard, the convenience key on the side and the option of adding more than one Fingerprint and all a lot of other great features.

THIS IS MY FIRST BLACKBERRY. I WANTED THE NEW KEY ONE FOR THE LARGER SCREEN AND KEYBOARD. SO FAR I LOVE THIS PHONE. STILL LEARNING HOW TO USE IT. THE KEYBOARD FEELS GREAT. USES YOUR FINGER PRINT TO UNLOCK THE PHONE.

Entire Keyboard Stopped Working After 3 Weeks!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Buyer Beware. I purchased the CDMA Verizon Keyone phone from Best Buy at the end of August 2017 and after the tedious process of transferring data and setting up the phone (because the Blackberry Content Transfer is quite subpar compared to Samsung and iPhone- my husband has one of each) I activated the phone on Sept 3rd. On September 22nd the entire keyboard and fingerprint scanner stopped working. (I did not drop it and it did not get wet) Typing on the virtual keyboard takes up 1/2 of the screen and is very uncomfortable because you are typing in the middle of the phone. Of course Best Buy wouldn't take it back because it was more than 14 days so I have to deal with Blackberry as its still under warranty and they have 0 sense of urgency and haven't been able to tell me when I will receive a replacement. I am going to Verizon to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and keyboard extension. Also as an FYI I have had only Blackberry devices for the last 10 years - 8700, 2 Curves, Bold, Q10, Classic, Priv and then the Keyone so for me to finally throw in the towel should say something. (I have never owned or even used an iPhone or non-Blackberry Powered Android smartphone) I still like the BB Hub and will be downloading it from the Play Store on my new Samsung.

    Do Not Buy

There is NO voicemail notification. I've done all the recommended resets, worked with Verizon and still nothing. Apparently TCL can't marry the hard keyboard with Android and get simple things on this phone...device. If you don't care about voicemail or don't travel for a living then this doesn't apply to you. Those of us who travel and go into areas without a signal would like to know if you get a voicemail. Oh and make sure you log in, every hour on the hour to check and see if you have voicemail. Apparently a hardwired answering machine from the 1980's is better than what TCL can offer in 2018.

If you are an active voicemail user then don't buy this phone as it is does not work with Verizon visual voicemail. I am back calling in to get voicemail and hate it. Worse still I didn't discover the problem until after 14 day return window. Phone works well but wish I had just given up the keyboard and bought a IPhone or other Android device.

After getting my first replacement for screengate, a patch they provided stopped all bluetooth and wifi functionality. Every time I open a ticket, it takes them weeks to respond, causing cases to last for months. Pathetic support, pathetic updates, pathetic blackberry
