Terrific Blender - Could Use Accessories

The Blendtec Classic Series 575 is a nice blender that I wish came with some accessories. When I opened the box, I have to admit I was disappointed to find just one big four-sided jar/container. I had hoped to find smaller smoothie cups and a spiralizer or similar.  No accessories are included in the box, and there are a precious few options available from Blendtec, if interested. But what the Blendtec lacks in versatility, it makes up for in power and efficiency. This is a truly excellent blender. With a three horsepower motor and 1575 watts of power, the Blendtec chews through anything you throw at it quickly. As a result, soups are super and smoothies are smoother. Despite the added power, the Blendtec is not terribly loud.  In terms of how finely it blends, it is on par or better than any other blender I've ever used. The Blendtec controls are a little bit old-school, but you have several pre-programmed settings and smooth touch controls that make cleanup a breeze.  Blendtec also includes a handy cookbook for your reference. There are some good ideas in there. Specs, per Blendtec: Touchpad controls - Enable simple operation and easy cleaning. 1575W, 3.0 peak horsepower motor - Delivers quiet, powerful blending. 5 speeds - With a pulse function perform a variety of blending tasks. 44-oz. FourSide jar - Allows you to make several drinks or smoothies at once. Preprogrammed blending cycles - For smoothies, cleaning and 60- and 90-second blending offer multiple blending options. Illuminated LCD timer - Displays remaining time on blends at a glance. I have to admit I prefer more modern controls, but there is something about the design that says quality, and I like it more than I would have anticipated.  Regardless, if function is more important than form, the Blendtec 575 is an excellent blender that should be on your short-list, especially since it's on sale right now. If I liked the controls more and it had more accessories, this would be my favorite blender.  As it is, it's still a strong contender.

Fantastic blender for the price. Can do everything a $500 and up blender can do. The blades are not sharp. So it is surprising it can blend things so well.. I guess its the powerful motor. Also, clean up is easy and doesn't pick poke or cut my fingers.

We like making smoothies and it is a challenge to find a machine that can fully liquify two cups of frozen strawberries. 1. Horsepower - The Blendtec has 3.0 peak HP that works really well for hard contents 2. Tamper - The Blendtec's 3 hp will usually blend everything without any pushing. The Vitamix requires use of the tamper if you blend things like frozen fruits, apples, etc. This requires you to stand there for about 30 seconds longer, or less, to use the tamper. 3. Lid - the lid never pops off, vitamix lid has a large hole, where the tamper fits through, or a cap fits in securely, where you can add ingredients without removing the lid. The Blendtec has a tiny hole for ventilation, through which liquids squirt upward. 4. Container. The Blendtec has the better container. It has flat sides, which are easy to clean of the finished drink, or thick nut butters, etc. The Vitamix container has an uneven surface, which is hard to get finished products entirely off of. 5. Cleaning - Blendtec cleans easily. Add water & detergent, blend for a few seconds, rinse. 6. Noise - Very loud. Very. I put mine on a rubber mat to reduce the noise. 8. Blendtec could definitely be preferred for travel. 9. The Vitamix controls are variable. The Blendtec has programmable buttons. If I need a smoothie to run for 2 minutes, I have to look at the clock, or set my timer on the microwave. 10. Owner's manual - The Blendtec manual is pathetic. You need a good book while getting acquainted with your blender. 11. The Blendtec really needs to work on their recipes. 12. Flour - The Blendtec will blend flours in the original container.

With a nice mix of simple operation and customizable settings, the Blendtec Classic Series 575 will take care of all of your blending needs. The blender has a nice, solid base, and the mixing jar doesn't have many difficult edges for cleaning purposes. Its control panel buttons are easy to press, and the programmable cycles were surprisingly useful. Once the cover was locked into place, I had no problems setting up a blend and just leaving it alone for the duration of the cycle - a major plus. The 575 is pretty loud but gets the job done. I haven't found a good blender that isn't loud, so this isn't really a criticism. Overall, the Blendtec Classic Series 575 is any easy recommendation for someone who wants a fully functional, easy to operate blender. Full disclosure, I received this product for my unbiased, honest review.

The Blendtec - Classic Series 575 5-Speed Blender is an amazing machine! I overlooked Blendtec because of the cost. However, the 575 falls at the lowest price point, making it affordable. I thought the ole Cuisinart was amazing. The Blentec takes a win! It blends well, really well. For smoothies, the Nutra Bullet is amazing machine, however the 575 does a better job in chopping and blending. This leaves no chunks and believe it or not some people do not like chunks. The jar is sturdy and the base has a smooth face for easy cleanup. Compared to the Ninja Chef and the Ninja doesn't stand a chance. I hope not to use it but Blendtec has a two year warranty. The only drawback is that it does shake, therefore you have to hold it. Also you still have cut fruits up. Overall I love this blender.

I’d heard about this blender before from the “Will It Blend?” folks, and while I was impressed by its power, I honestly thought it was a little gimmicky and didn’t know what it would be like as a blender for actual food. I was surprised to see that the blades were not sharp at all, as they had been for every other blender I’ve owned in the past, although I can certainly see how this would make it safer to clean. Wow. Power is this blender’s middle name. It is a touch on the loud side, but this motor has got some serious juice! It has absolutely no problem blending to mush fibrous vegetable matter that has been known to kill some of my previous (cheaper) blenders. If you are going to make any smoothies, however, I seriously recommend that you put a bare minimum of 12oz of fluid into the bottom of your blender. Otherwise, you could end up with a cavitation bubble, which both isn’t good for your blender and means that nothing is getting pulled down to the blades. Cleanup for this blender is advertised as nothing more than adding some water and a single drop of dish soap. While this is good enough for cleaning any water-soluble messes, if you have used anything that is oily, such as avocados, peanut butter, or any oils or butters, these cleanup directions will leave your jug cloudy. Best to get a little soap on a sponge and give it a light wipe-down and rinse. Still, not a labor-intensive endeavor. There are many recipes on Blendtec’s website. I have made the potato leek soup as well as the butternut squash soup, and both are amazing. The blender does a great job pureeing all the veggies into a nice smooth soup. The recipes are quite tasty as well! Far from being gimmicky, the Blendtec blender has far exceeded my expectations.

The Blendtec - Classic Series 575 5-Speed Blender - Black offers simply raw power to blend anything you put in its path. Smoothies, energy drinks, fruit, ice... no problem! The Blendtec rivals all of their competition, even the high-end brand name blenders you find at the coffee stands or coffee specialty stores. Preprogrammed for 60 or 90-second blending, just add your ingredients and let it go. LCD time is a nice feature to see how long is left. 5-speed options for your personal selection allows you to blend to your preference and need. PROS - RAW power - Restaurant-type power - Well Constructed, Solid Design - 8-year warranty (Covers all components including jar) - Pre-programmed settings - 5-speed settings + puree - Other Jar size options available for purchase CONS - Not approved for restaurant use - The jar is plastic, not glass, not dishwasher safe - Handwash only.

Found that this blender does not fit the bill. High priced does not mean high performance. This blender will walk off the counter it you don’t hold onto it. It has a hard time getting through ice let alone frozen fruit or spinach leaves.

OK, I'll admit. Since high school when those "Will It Blend" videos came out, I've set my geeky little heart on owning one of these Blendtec blenders. And I can honestly say that: yes, it is exactly as awesome as you think it is. Unboxing: everything is recyclable. Everything. There are 3 pieces of packing that went into the box, along with 3 supplementary materials - one of which says "YOU'RE NOW IN POSSESSION OF THE WORLD'S BEST BLENDER." They're not kidding. The cord even has its own velcro strap to keep it contained. Setup: There are only 4 pieces to the blender including the base. The base (motor/controls) is not super heavy as one would expect. It's actually a decent size and weight that'll prevent tips and such, but not so heavy it'll decimate your storage area. The footing is super stable, it does not wobble in the slightest, but it doesn't take up a huge amount of real-estate either. The blade and blending bucket are all one piece. Normally I'd be a little wary because every non-detachable blender I've owned has shattered at the blade/plastic connection point. A quick note here: the detachable versions are awful. Horrible. You have to put a washer at the bottom, twist on the blade attachment, hope you got it right, and then if you didn't, you only find out after you've blended your stuff that gross rubber water and smoothie/soup is all over the base and getting into the motor. Not a problem here. And in fact, the way the blending bucket fits on top of the motor/base is incredibly smooth. The blending bucket is made out of very sturdy plastic that has a little give to it, so I'm guessing it's not going to shatter like other blenders. Even if it does, it has an 8-year warranty. When's the last time you had a blender last more than a year? Did I mention the whole thing is Made in the US? How cool is that? In use: Unlike the videos, I decided to work my way up to blending iPhones and brooms. Something edible is best. So we made milkshakes. I poured a cup of chocolate milk and two whole pints of frozen-solid chocolate ice cream in. Added in some chocolate chips. We keep it healthy in my house. Anyway, I pressed the handy "smoothie" button and a countdown timer started. About 45 seconds later (while the blender varied the speed to avoid air bubbles and such), the whole family was enjoying chocolate milkshakes that were stupidly smooth. "Honey," I said, "Can you grab me the broom?" She politely declined, so I moved on to try making some soup instead. There's no denying it: this is a super-powerful blender. The automatic settings make it a super-smart blender and I'm looking forward to making many more nigh-impossible yet edible combinations of liquids and solids that would rend mere mortal blenders asunder. My only regret is that I don't have two Blendtecs to answer the final, ultimate question: will it blend itself? TL;DR: the geeks/internet savvy in your life will love this (thanks to the amazing marketing Blendtec has done over the years). The culinary-savvy in your life will love this (thanks to the power, speed, and size). The money-savvy in your life will love this (thanks to the warranty and comparative cost). Highly recommended.

This is a great all around blender to make smoothies, slushies, soups, etc... I haven't had a chance to test all features, but this is a beautiful, high-quality blender. I had other blenders and got this because sI was looking for something powerful and reliable. The blender jars are HUGE, easy to clean, and so much easier to get food out of without coming in contact with the blades. I'm really impressed so far.

Years ago, I watched “Will it Blend?” and was in awe of what the Blendtec blender could decimate into powder. Now after owning the Vitamix Explorian Series E310, I was excited to find out how the Blendtec Classic Series 575 compared. I’ve concluded that both blenders are awesome, but I use one over the other for different tasks. Construction This blender base is made of plastic, with no rubber mat for the container to sit on snuggly. I also noticed the lack of a bottom weight, which led to more rocking from the container than I noticed with the Vitamix. I liked how the Blendtec chose to use blunt blades, so there is never any need to sharpen them. Functions I love that the Blendtec has an on/off switch on the back. This switch allows the user to have more control of the blending options. The Blendtec also has 4 separate features, other than the pulse and various speeds. The smoothie feature varies the speed during the cycle; as such, it doesn’t require a tamper or adds air to the mix. There are two timed features at 60 and 90 seconds intervals. Lastly, there is a clean feature to allow you to clean the container on the base. Mixing Due to the smoothie feature, the Blendtec was able to create a well mixed smoothie without the added foam that other blenders make. I also found that scraping the contents out of the container was easily done, since the Blendtec only has two blades. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience blending thicker ingredients, as it had less movement within the container and resulted in a slightly chunkier mix than what I experienced with the Vitamix. I believe including a tamper would help solve this problem, but Blendtec does not favor tampers. They do sell a separate container that aids in blending, however. Conclusion If you are looking for the best blender for use with mostly smoothies and can only afford to have one high-end blender, then the Blendtec Classic Series 575 is it. If you need to blend any thick items, such as almond butter, I would recommend a blender that includes a tamper.

I've always felt a blender is a bit of a luxury purchase. But in an attempt to avoid winter weight gain, I have started going to the gym and wanted to make smoothies for breakfast. Which means, fruit, ice, yogurt, milk and even some granola into the mix. The Blendtec Series 575 made quick short work of blending my next breakfast. I'm still working out the best way to get the right consistency. It has a dedicated smoothie button (which is great) but with 5 speeds giving me more control I am working out if I can manually do something more interesting. Worth noting, the various preset options do make the Blendtec Series 575 easier to use than other blenders. It's also worth knowing this has an INCREDIBLE 8 year warranty. I have never owned any consumer product with this type of warranty. It's solidly built, so not sure I would even ever need the warranty, but for 8 years - that's peace of mind. Definite buy.

Great high powered blender. You can blend drinks and meals with this 5-speed, high powered blender. I has already programmed cycles for smoothies, 60 and 90 second timer blending, and cleaning. It has a very cool LCD timer that shows you the time left on your blend cycles. The absolute best thing about this blender, compared to other blenders is how easily it can blend. This is because it is very high powered. You can load it up with frozen fruits, ice, etc, and it will blend thru it with ease. I didn’t get any groups or clumps of unblended ingredients. My model came with the “FourSide” 32 ounce jar. The WildSide jar can be purchased separately if you want a larger (that one also has a larger blade). For my uses, smoothies mostly, the FourSide 32 ounce jar does just fine. Also works great for making almond butter! Overall, if you make alot of smoothies, this is a great blender!

As soon as you open the box to this blender, you realize: IT WAS DESIGNED FOR ONE SINGLE PURPOSE. This blender, is very straight forward and simple. Container, blade, motor. That's it. There are not 100 different attachments. There are not 20 different tops or containers. It is simply to blend your drinks and soups. A good sized container, with an integrated blade, sits right on top of the motor. Multiple speeds available as well as a pulse. Crushes and blends ice and other frozen items with easy. Smaller then some of the other named brands of blenders, this should fit on most counters without taking up a lot of space. It has a CLEAN button. So you put some water and soap in the blender, and hit the CLEAN cycle, rinse out, and you are on your way.

I've never had a blender that actually scared me but this one does! The Blendtec blender is a beast of a blender. Seriously! This thing lists itself as having 3hp of power. Since when does a blender have a horsepower rating?!? Well, this one does and boy does it get the job done. I was originally a bit worried that it didn't have "sharp" blades for blending till I actually used it on a bag of frozen mixed fruit. This thing went to town on it like it insulted its mother. I've used it on frozen fruit, milkshakes, and oddly enough to "mash" some potatoes. Each and every time this thing performed as advertised and has made food prep a much easier task. I highly recommend this blender to those needing one. Or a blender with serious horsepower!

I remember when Blendtec came on the market. They used a very clever series of "Will It Blend" videos on YouTube. They were some of the very first viral videos. They blended (e.g. destroyed) anything from iPhones, iPads, golf clubs and much more. Many of these videos had tends of millions of views. I never owned a Blendtec....until now. It was great to unpack it and give it a test spin. it's in incredibly powerful machine. We found it to be easy to clean and it looks great on the counter. I'm glad I finally took the plunge to purchase a serious blending machine. Highly recommended!
