One of the 2 best blenders on the market

This is a workhorse of a blender. I have a Vitamix which I purchased in 2003 but wanted to try this one. If you are looking at these then you know the Blendtec and Vitamix are the top of the line blenders. Either would be a great choice. Comparing them side by side the Blendtec has a slightly longer warranty and more horsepower but the Vitamix has the Tamper and I really like the patented Tamper to help food from getting stuck around the blades. I do have to say I have not had a problem with food getting stuck in the Blendtec blades though. The other difference is that the Blendtec has several program modes where the Vitamix only has a knob to turn the speed from 1 to 10. Both blenders do a great job and can handle almost anything from ice to nut butters. The only reason I gave the blendtec a 4 was because of the Tamper on the Vitamix., otherwise it is perfect.

This Blendtec Classic Series 575 is top notch!! Set up was super simple and preparing for first use was very simple. The first thing I put this through was making a fruit smoothie. I just tossed in some fruit, ice and coconut milk turned on the Blendtec and it made quick work of the content. I was also able to whip up a nice adult beverage and the usual ice chunks I got with my old blender were nonexistent. This blender is well built and powerful. I will definitely be using this thing a lot more.

I hadn't ever really used my blender for anything more than pureeing softer or semi hard fruits and veggies and I'd only do that once or twice a month as a recipe called for it. With my new Blendtec, I seem to be using it almost everyday for something. It blends up fruits and vegetables like they're butter! It's had no problems blending up ice or nuts as well. I haven't ever been a smoothie person before now, but I sure becoming one (there are nearly an infinity of recipes available online). The one thing that I would have liked is a more premium looking base. The one that I have is a dull black plastic base. All in all, though, I really love my new speed blender

The automatic cleaning cycle is fantastic in removing the cleaning deterrence to using a blender more often. We have only used this blender for a couple of days, so we still have to learn all of its functions, but in that small amount of time we found that it is very powerful, more so than most other blenders; and it appears to be very well built to the point it will be durable enough to last for years, which at three hundred bucks (a hundred off of the regular price) is a real bargain.

I think this blender has a lot to offer, especially over the cheap blenders that just don't have enough power. This blendtec blender has a powerful 3.0 hp motor that really does provide the power for blending frozen items in smoothies and the like. I like that this product is engineered and assembled in the United States and comes with an eight year warranty. It's design is straight forward and easy to use once you scan the included manual and quickly figure out what each of the buttons is programmed to do. There is a smoothie button that looks like a glass, two timed cycle buttons of 60 and 90 seconds and a button for an automatic cleaning cycle. Along with these are the typical buttons for incremental speeds and pulse action. The blender display shows the time for each cycle and will count down as it blends. There is one small design aspect to the blender jar that I would change. The handle is part of the form of the jar which is probably good for long term durability, but I don't care for the fact that the handle is hollow. After washing it is not really practical to dry the inside, hollow part of the handle with a towel so I'd imagine it may look a little spotted with air drying. Like I said, it is a minor design thing that I would prefer a solid handle myself. Also, I'm a little surprised they don't provide a tamper that goes through the lid to move around frozen ingredients, but perhaps that is unnecessary once one gets down the proportions of liquid, solid and frozen. I took a look at the blendtec website and there are a lot of recipes on there that look quite good. We will have to try some of these out. Thumbs up for this blender if you can get it on sale for a good price compared to paying retail price.

Out of the box it's ready to use. The button layout is simple and easy to navigate. You can choose to use a preset that has has a count down timer that stops the blender on it own or use it to mix until you think it's ready. It comes with a heavy duty plug. It feels solid and well built. The mixing container is plastic which I don't care for, but it's easy to read the measurements. Over all it's a well built blender.

Homemade smoothies is the way to go, and that's why I wanted this. You can make all kinds of drinks with this, and it's so easy. Good quality blender, and it works with little to no effort. Cleans up easy too. Only thing I've found that could be an issue, is that of a person with a small kitchen. Mine does have lots of counter space, but it's filling fast now.

This blender is awesome. It's very powerful. It can handle andy job I throw at with no problem. Setup was breeze because it only has 3 parts. The base, the container with attached blade, and the lid. You will need to clean the lid before use, because the lint from the white cardboard packaging material sticks to the lid during shipment. No complaints so far.

I've owned an old stainless steel vitamix for years and I've just gotten the Classic 575. It seems to compare nicely to the vitamix unit except that like everything else, it's got a lot of plastic. That said, it works great, has a lot of power and the controls are easy to understand. There's a nice little led counter that counts down the time left during the selected cycle. It has the smooth options as well as a 60 and 90 second cycle and a wash cycle. You can also use the 5 speed controls from low to high in manual mode. Finally there's a pulse button that we all probably use. If there is one downside, it's the manual. It has a few recipes, then repeats them in other languages. It refers you to the website for other recipes. It appears there are a lot of them there. The one thing I couldn't find on the website was a downloadable manual. I had to decipher the buttons myself, most of which were simple, but the wash one was something to figure out. All in all, I think this will be a great addition to my kitchen and would be in yours as well.

I like the easy clean feature and the simple way it sits on the rotor. Don't not have to concern myself with fiddling around to get it on the base. The timed speeds are great for gauging level of smoothness and starting slow helps crush the ice before ramping up speed. The low to high and pulse features allow me to control the speed. Compared to my Ninja, it may not be as fast but then again with the safe blade technology I don’t have to worry about cutting myself when I clean it. Great addition to our family.

The Blendtec blender is a solid blender that is well built. I have no worries about the drive mechanism or blade attachment ever wearing out. Blends very well for milkshakes and smoothies, though honestly not sure if it is better enough to justify the high cost of the machine.

The Blendtec blender classic series 575 is a great blender and smoothie maker. The plastic jar holds everything you need to make a great tasting, healthy drink. My husband uses it to make Shakeology drinks and nutritious smoothies for our two boys. You can easily blend fruits (both frozen & raw), spinach, kale, ice, nuts and peanut butter into the perfect consistency. It has a smoothie setting which takes the guess work out of it. We use the Blendtec several times a week and enjoy it very much. Clean up is quick and easy too. Overall, very happy with the function of this blender.

I have had this blender for a couple of weeks now. I have used to to make smoothies, milkshakes, frozen "adult" drinks and even hit up their website and saw a recipe for homemade almond milk. This blender does it all and works flawlessly!!! I would recommend it if you are looking to use a blender on a frequent basis, I feel this motor and unit as a whole was built to last and be used daily!!!

This blender is amazing!!! I first used it to make a milk shake and it did a wonderful job. The shake was smooth and creamy with no chunks of ice cream. I then made smoothies and again they were smooth and no big chunks of ice. The speeds are great. It does run a little loud but what do you expect when you have so much power.

All the power you'd expect from a $300+ blender. But the best feature to me is the self cleaning button. I make SO many smoothies with this thing its ridiculous.

This blender is by far the best blender I've ever owned or used. Heavy duty construction and heavy duty motor make it fast and efficient. I'm sure it will outlast it's 8 year warranty. If you buy it you won't be disappointed. This will probably be the last blender I will ever have to buy.

I like this blender because it’s simple and all the buttons are easy to read and use. The only down fall I see is you can’t remove the blade from the container and that might get dirty and start to smell. The lid also feels kinda cheep
