    Great Cameras for the Price!

They work great especially for the price. Setup was quick and easy and takes less than 15 minutes. Really like the fact that they are wireless. Video quality is not as clear as some other cameras that cost more and some interference noise when trying to use to microphone, but overall I am very happy with the product.

I’ve had these cameras for a while now. I keep them in my house in the windows, they work fine. Clear video and pictures. I do think I miss out on nighttime movement because they cause a glare. Other than that, they’ve been working great. Battery life is good. The reason for the 4 is too many videos on windy days. I tend to turn the camera off.

The Blink - 5 Outdoor (3rd Gen) Wireless 1080p Security System is an entry-level surveillance option with some notable strengths but also a few areas for improvement. Setting up this system was a breeze. The cameras are wireless and easy to mount, so you don't need a professional installer or any extensive knowledge about setting up a surveillance system. The cameras themselves are compact, have a clean, minimalist design, and their black color blends well with most exterior home settings. The video quality is good at 1080p resolution, providing clear and sharp images. This makes it easy to discern details which can be crucial for security purposes. Night vision performance is also commendable, offering fairly clear images even in low light conditions. The system's ability to run on two AA lithium batteries for up to two years is an excellent feature, saving you from constant recharging or battery replacement. Unfortunately, one area where the system falls short is the length of the video playback clips. The maximum duration is only one minute, which feels quite restrictive. A situation may arise where a longer recording would be beneficial, and it's unfortunate that there's no option to increase this duration to 5 or 10 minutes. This limitation means you may miss crucial moments if an incident lasts longer than a minute, which can be a significant drawback in a security setup. The system comes with motion detection functionality, which does a reasonable job detecting movement and sending alerts to your mobile device. However, the response time for alerts could be improved to provide more timely notifications. Blink's user-friendly app interface deserves a positive mention. It is simple to navigate and makes monitoring your premises a straightforward process. In summary, the Blink - 5 Outdoor (3rd Gen) Wireless 1080p Security System is an easy-to-setup security system suitable for home surveillance novices. The excellent battery life and good video quality are the system's main strengths. However, the restriction on video clip length is a significant drawback that could potentially limit the effectiveness of your security surveillance.

Blink has perfected the wireless camera. I use them in various places on the exterior of my home to give me 360 degrees security. Mounting them is about as simple as it gets - 2 screws and you’re done. Depending on the motion settings in the Blink App, the lithium batteries can last several months before needing to be changed. In the Blink App, you have total control over each camera, including motion sensitivity settings, night vision, record time length, and instant notifications to your phone, tablet and computer. And the Blink App is simple to use. I highly recommend Blink cameras.

These little cameras are pretty nice. They do not provide super crisp images/videos but I knew that i wasnt getting 4k when i bought them so this is not a complaint, just a reminder that the buyer needs to know what you are getting. The wireless (battery powered) feature is great! No running wires, just attach and all is good. The app is nice and easy to figure out. There is a paid subscription needed to work efficiently. It works without the subscription but it is painful.

Good cameras, they work! BUT……. A few issues I am not happy with. I was trying to go cheap because Ring is so expensive! With Blink you definitely get a good price! But the night vision absolutely sucks unless there is a light near the area you are watching. Ring’s night vision is unbelievable compared to Blink. And unfortunately the night is why I really needed security cameras. Another problem, the sensitivity is iffy. If you turn it down, it doesn’t always pick up the motion, if you turn it to the highest sensitivity, the camera is going off if a snail farts. Then you have 600 notifications a day. I am trying to fine tune my system, but honestly I wish I would have spent just a little more money for a better system. It does work though, and it does the job. The other night I had a creeper by my house. The system picked IT up, but I couldn’t tell if IT was male or female or what race, I could just tell it was a person! So that hurts if you really need important information for the police.

These tiny and affordable cameras are amazing!!! The picture quality is on par with any phone camera and the storage is outstanding. The easy to use app is the icing on the cake and the cherry in top is the fact that the installation literally took me 5 minutes per camera. I highly recommend this over anything else on the market and I will for sure be purchasing more.

I have several blink cameras (indoor versions) and I am pleased with them...liking the indoor cameras I decided to try the outdoor version. This camera runs on either 2 lithium AA batteries, or you can hardwire it, so no batteries are needed. So now comes the 1st dilemma. If you hardwire it, which is the best way to run it since no batteries are needed, but the issue now becomes it has to have a cable plugged into camera which then runs to the sync module which means it has to be close to the module or you have to have a really long USB cable if you really want to place it without some limitations. Now the 2nd dilemma, if you use the batteries, the camera has no wires limiting it and can be placed pretty much anywhere outside as long as you have a good Wi-Fi signal...the bad though...batteries! Blink says good lithium batteries will last up to 2 years, but of course that is if the camera resolution is set to low and you really don't have the camera sensitivity high so its kicking on every time it detects something....which takes away from the reason people put up cameras in the first place! So, if you use batteries you are limited to how high you can put the camera resolution as well as its detection sensitivity. If you hardwire it, you can run it at full high resolution and sensitivity, but you are limited to where you can put it do to it having to have a cable connected to the module... so pick your poison! Also another con to using batteries is that when they do get low you have to change them out which means you have to go out and access the camera by pulling it off its mounting system unscrew the back plate and then replace the batteries and then remount it hopefully back to the original view and angle you had it at before taking it down. Now as for the interface its nice and easy to use but I don't have a Blink subscription for video storage I just use my cameras for live views only so I can't answer to how good the Blink storage and access of videos is. As for the cameras they are compact easy to use and the 1080 HD quality is pretty clear and detailed. The zoom on the cameras aren't bad either. overall, I really like the Blink outdoor camera and if you can find them on sale, even better but regular price they are still a great option versus the much more expensive Nest, Ring and other expensive cameras.

My folks were about to spend a ton of $ on outdoor cameras so we decided to try these 1st. The set up was super easy…I like that it’s battery operated so they can be placed anywhere around the outside of their home. The picture quality is great (if something is within about 25/30 feet it’s clear as can be…(if you try zooming in on a license plate for example that’s about 50 feet or further away you have a really hard time reading the characters) and the built in night vision is very handy. For the price…ease of use with the app….ease of installation and the fact that it can sync up with our echo show 5 device I’d say this one is a slam dunk. Plus having audio along with the picture…and being able to talk through the camera is an added bonus.

Easiest setup of all the do-it-yourself home security cameras, in my opinion. Put in the included lithium batteries, plug in the sync box, open the app, add devices by scanning the QR code located inside the cameras and mount using the included mounting brackets. The app is too easy to use and configure. The trickiest part is setting the camera sensitivity to fit the area being covered. Hearing what's happening and being able to talk through the camera is a huge plus and selling point for these weather resistant and easy to use and mount cameras.

I recently purchased the Blink Outdoor cameras from Best Buy and, overall, I'm quite pleased with their performance. The ease of installation and wireless functionality make them a convenient choice for home security. One standout feature is the camera's impressive image quality, providing clear footage even in low-light conditions. The motion detection works effectively, alerting me promptly to any activity around my property. I appreciate the flexibility of adjusting sensitivity settings to suit my specific needs. However, my main gripe with the Blink Outdoor cameras is the $100 annual service fee. This unexpected cost significantly impacts the overall value of the product. It would have been beneficial if this fee was more transparent during the purchase process. While the cameras themselves are excellent, potential buyers should be aware of this additional expense. In conclusion, if you can overlook the service fee, the Blink Outdoor cameras deliver reliable performance and ease of use. Just be sure to factor in the extra cost when considering this otherwise commendable product

We have only had these installed for a few weeks. The setup was easy with the app. The cameras work, and the app has some good options for custom settings. I really dislike the mount for the camera. After installing the mount, it is difficult to snap the camera into it. I can't imagine what it will be like when we have to change the batteries. I also hate the limited angles the mount offers. The sound is fair, but not good if you need to really understand a conversation that is not right next to the camera. However, I do like the microphone feature. It is nice to speak to someone near the camera. The night vision only works well if the camera is not aimed forward. This is because street lights and neighbor lights will interfere with the way they work. I was also not aware of all the wasps the cameras would attract. I guess this is a real thing with security cameras, so not Blink's fault. Another positive for these cameras is the motion sensor. The motion sensor works great; you can set the sensitivity level and motion zones. Overall, it is a good camera for the price.

A very satisfied customer. I purchased these because I was going out of town for an extended period and wanted to have some piece of mind. I also needed something quickly and the installation needed to be hassle free. These cameras were not only easy to install, but I had all 5 of them mounted and running within an hour. I even ordered 5 more cameras so I could have complete coverage of both inside and outside the house. For 3 months now, I know when packages are delivered at my door and when my neighbor takes them inside. If someone pulls up in the driveway or walks around the house I am alerted. I have even used the speaker function to chase deer away that are nibbling on my plants :) As far as limitations go, here are a few: 1) When it is windy outside with the plants and leaves blowing, it will trigger the camera. There are some sensitivity settings that help with that, which is great. 2) The night functionality works well, but it is better if you have some light source nearby like a streetlamp, porch light, or it is a full moon. 3) Since each camera uses batteries, the more a camera is used, whether by motion activation or personally viewing live surveillance, the shorter the life span of the batteries will be in that camera. They are advertised to last 2 years and so the verdict is still out, but even if they only last 12 to 18 months, I would be glad to only have to replace them once a year since it is such a small expense. 4) The motion activation functionality takes a few seconds to kick in and so when someone comes to knock on the door or drop off a package, the saved video feed shows them almost at the door and misses them walking up to the door. Placing the camera with a less narrowed view will help start the camera sooner so you do not miss the action. For the price paid, getting a camera system of this quality, and made by a reputable company like Amazon, is well worth the expense!

Good camera for our backyard. Audio and video, plus a good nighttime pic, too. It gives you the option to talk through it as well. The Blink subscription is a good value, too. It holds recorded videos for a while and you can adjust the motion sensitivity. We use our camera to spot possums before taking the dog outside. Good battery life, too.

Very good cameras for the price. I'm satisfied with the videos it records. I like how it uses AA batteries and I could just replace them once the juice runs out. The only thing I wish Blink can improve on is the sensitivity of the detection of activity. Their view angle is good enough but I have to put it closer to the place I want to surveillance. If it can detect from a further distance like other home security cameras then it would get full 5 stars

These cameras are amazing. My original 2 camera Blink system left a gap in security on one side of my house. Adding the third camera was easy to program and install Start to finish took less than 10 minutes including installation and aiming. The cameras can be programmed to eliminate false alarms from street traffic . They even report outside temperatures and battery health. The best part is no wires to run or power concerns. I love this system as an inexpensive home security system with long term storage available.

I’ve had my cameras for almost two years and so far it’s been okay. I’ve had to disconnect them a couple of times due to internet connection. I’ve changed the batteries of a couple of them maybe once. So far the quality of the videos is okay the audio quality isn’t bad either. One of the updates I really like is the continuous video footage meaning once it’s done recording from one camera it shows me the recording of the next camera. The cameras are available to sustain high temperatures and really low temperatures as well. Also extremely rainy days.
